Chapter 9

825 Words
Zeus’ POV Elkirah has awakened her powers.   It all started when she began reading the book, I did not notice that she had a hold of the book about us. I had only blinked for a while and when I opened my eyes to look at her, I notice her glowing in the distance that is why my attention flicked to her.  Her powers, her unimaginable strength, and abilities that were asleep for a long time have now awakened. I would guess that that is due to the fact that she met me and the prophecy is coming true.   It was catastrophic, a devastating shockwave expanded from her petite body that sent me flying across the room before crashing on the wall, I would be dead as cold if I was a normal being but good thing that the only injury I got was a bruise on my back.  I recollected myself again so I could see her and possibly try to save her from this mindless rage and surge of incredible power. "Elkirah! Snap out of it!" I called out, trying to push my way to her direction but the force she's emitting, like a sharp wind during a hurricane, is pushing me away but I managed to at least decrease the distance between us.   At closer look, her body emitted such a bright glow of gold and white that I had to squint just to look at her now hovering figure. Books, chairs, shelves and different items were swirling around her as if she's the center of this storm, which she is.  Despite this chaotic situation, I could not help but to think that she looked so beautiful amidst all the chaos that she had when her powers awakened with her golden halo at the top of her head. I don’t know if she noticed that she had wings and was flying up the chair.  They were magnificent, the glowing of her eyes was what I found most beautiful. So that’s how angels looked like. Lucifer’s jealousy was not misplaced, I could say that they had everything beautifully. While demons on the other hand are ugly slices of rotten meat and darkness in all of our true forms. Snapping back to reality, this girl is now peacefully sleeping at our bed. Like nothing happened, which was true because it all went back to normal after the flick of her fingers. I panicked because I thought that the pack house would split open and some of the wolves are going to get injured. But all of that was for neigh, it was like Elkirah turned back the time herself with the exception of all the injuries she inflicted upon me unintentionally. Which are long healed now due to the nature of my being.   The aftermath was like nothing really happened except for the fact that her hair was now all golden and at her waist. I wonder how I can explain that when she wakes up soon I hope, I do not know if she will remember what happened. I will know for sure when she wakes up. Mind linking my Beta, I instructed him to look out for future trespassers in the pack. As her fellow angels will try hard to reach her and finally put an end to the thousand year old war.  I wonder how she knew about me going out of this lands in order to look for gate ways to the underworld and close them if I ever find any in that matter that is near our borders. I prayed endlessly to the moon goddess, if she can listen to me even if I am born out of the darkness.   “Please, moon goddess, guide her and keep her safe from harm. Give us a little bit more time to cherish each other and please don’t take her from me. I will bear all the hardships, just let her be happy.”   I may sound all whipped here but I still have not had the time to be with her and spend time with her. In a sense I still do not know her well but I feel a force pulling us back to each other no matter how hard I try to push and bury this undescribable feelings towards Elkirah.   We are only complete strangers, thrown together to form this inexplainable bond of love and more. We are destined and fated to be each other’s soul mate.   Shaking myself awake out of those thoughts, I decided that I will sleep in the couch for the time being. I would not want to wake her up now.  Considering how small and frail her body is, she must be exhausted from the overflow of her powers, powers that she never knew existed that suddenly awakened. She should rest more. Finding a comfortable spot in it, I slept and flew into a disarray dream. “Kill her Zeus, she’s the only one hindering our plans.” “No!” “Kill her now while she’s still weakened! That’s an order!” “I said NO!”
