Ensley POV) Packing up and leaving the cave was bittersweet. I was excited to move on to bigger and better things but it had been my home, my safe haven for so very long. I would now live amongst others. No longer spending my days and nights alone. Not only would I have my mate by my side but he tells me that there are women and children at the refugee camp, and for that I am excited. It has been so very long since I have been around another female. It would be nice to have a friend. For 5 days and nights we traveled through the forest. Through thick vegetation, swamps, rocky terrain. It had been a hard journey, but we finally made it. I looked up at the high cliff that stood in front of us adorned in ivy and moss. I studied it confused as I didn't see any opening. Though I knew it would be well hidden so I waited for Jasper to show me the way. I watched wide eyed as he stepp3d foward and dissapeared amongst the thick ivy. It wasn't long before I heard a loud scraping sound of rock against rock and then he reappeared smiling accompanied by a man and woman holding large staffs with pointed ends in their hand. "Ensley, this is Takira and Wayo. They are warriors who protect the entrance to our camp." Jasper introduced us. I shyly bowed my head in respect to the warriors and heard Jasper chuckle. "No need to bow my love, we are all equals here." I studied the two strangers before me. Being around others was such a foreign feeling. Not having my defenses up was a hard task that I was trying to learn. It was hard to trust when you had been wronged by so many in your life. Takira was a besutiful native woman with tattoos on her face symbolizing her heritage. Bright green eyes stared back at me through a thick curtain of mocha colored bangs. He body was muscled and thin as if she didn't go a day without training. Wayo was equally as fit. He had large muscles that cascaded over his shoulders and down his arms. His caramel kissed skin made his bright blue eyes look like glowing orbs. His hair was pulled back into a long braid down his back. They both wore animal Hyde that covered their most private areas, as well as a bow and arrow on their back and a knife strapped around their leg. They were barefoot but I suspected it didn't slow them down one bit within the jungle. "It is nice to meet ypu, Ensley. We are happy Jasper has found his long awaited mate and is finally able to return home to his people. Please make yourself at home in our camp." Takire smiled at me welcomingly. "Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity." I smiled back at her still feeling a bit on edge. Jasper and I left Takira and Wayo to guard the opening to the cave. Jasper led me passed the thick vegetation into a dark cavern lit by torches that cast yellow light to show us our way. We walked for ages and every few feet we passed more warriors who stood along the wall as still as a statue. Finally we came out on the other side and I gasped at the besutiful scenery that stood before me. A village hid amongst the jungle away from prying eyes. A flowing waterfall that fell into a large pond delivering fresh water to the village framed the background. Gardens sat in the east corner while animals of various species sat in the west. Cabins were scattered about smoke billowing from their chimneys. Children laughing and playing while their mothers ran after them. Men working tirlessly to finish their chores for the day. I blinked away the tears that had pooled in my eyes as I watched my surroundings and the sound of happiness in the camp filled my ears. Jasper pulled me in close tucking me protectively under his arm as we walked through. "Yasper, Yasper, your back." a little girl's voice caught my attention. Jasper released me catching a blur of blonde hair as she hurled herself into his arms. "Emmalynn, my how you gave grown. Were is your momma hub?" Jasper ruffled her hair and she giggled loudly. "She's in the cabin tending to Phiwip. He wet his pants. " I chuckled at her omission and her besutiful blue sparkling eyes landed on me. "Who's that?" she asked pointing to me. "Emmalynn, this is Ensley, my mate." Jasper introduced us. "Hello Enswey, I'm Emmawynn Yasper is my mama's broder." her lisp was adorable making me smile at her. "It is nice to meet you, besutiful." she smiled at my words. "I like her." she whispered to Jasper. "Good, So do I." he whispered back grinning at me and taking my hand while he carried Emmalynn in his other. The entire village welcomed us. They were so warm and happy. I could feel my guard melting as I spent more and more time here. We walked with emmalynn to a cabin among the trees scattered around the rock facing. Jasper entered and I followed him unsure if I should or not but not wanting to seem unwelcoming. The cabin was besutiful. It was small but large enough for a small family. The living room and kitchen were combined along with a small dining room, and I assumed the stairs led to the bedrooms for the family. "Momma, Uncle Yasper is back." Emmalynn yelled and moments later I heard someone quickly running down the stairs. A woman resembling Jasper appeared and smiled widely as she squealed and hurled herself into his arms. "Brother, it's been far to long. I was worried." she told him as they embraced. When they finally released eachother Jasper turned to me. "Ensley, this is my twin sister Laken. Laken this is my mate, Ensley." he introduced us. His sister was an exact replica of himself but she held a feminine quality to her. softer features. "You found her?" She gasped and turned to Jasper who grinned and nodded. "Welcome to our family. " She grabbed me pulling me into her making me smile. "My brother has searched for you for so long." she started pulling back but still holding my hands. "He had dreams of you, and he would catch your scent when out scouting, but he never could find you." she explained and turned to Jaspee. "Were did you find her and how?" she asked puzzled. "Turns out she was living alone in a cavern in the jungle. I was lucky enough to pick up her scent as she returned home but those caverns had me lost for days with soany twist and turns. And then finally after dreaming of her one night, I was led to her." he smiled my way pulling me into him and away from his sister. "Well, I know you two want to get settled so I'll let you go, but please return this evening for dinner. I'll pull out all the stop and we will have a village feast to celebrate your arrival." she cheered. Jasper and I told her we would see her at dinner and headed out to his cabin. Jasper led me through the village near the water fall surrounded by thick canopied trees, sat a besutiful oak colored cabin with a red door. It was far enough away from everyone else to feel private and for that I was grateful. We approached the door and Jasper scooped me up in his arms bridal style making squeal and then we both laughed as he pushed open the door and carried inside. The inside was breathtaking. My feet seemed to move on their own once Jasper sat me down and I immediately started exploring his home. There was vaulted ceilings with high large obtuse shaped windows that led to the landing of the top of the stairs. All leather furniture adorned the living room with a large rug that decorated the light colored hard wood floors. A fireplace sat in the corner with a chair on each side perfect for reading and curling up with a cup of coffee. The kitchen had dark granite countertops and new stainless steel appliances of which I had no clue how to use. A small breakfast nook sat next to a large window that overlooked the pond. Going up stairs I found two bedrooms of which they both had their own bathroom. The first was the smaller of the two which seemed to be were his Neice stayed when she slept over because toys were strewn across the floor. A white sleigh bed sat against the wall along with a white chest of drawers that had a large mirror perched on top. The bathroom was small with only a walk in glass shower, toilet, and single pedestal sink. The master bedroom was equally as beautiful as the rest of the house. It had a huge windows that looked out at the waterfall and surrounded one half of the room, all tinted so Noone could see inside. A large bed was between two nightstand and it sat in front of a large dresser. At the end of the bed was a bench that was decorated by pillows of various blues bringing in colors from the water outside. The bathroom was obviously made for two and just as large as the guest bedroom. There was his and her sinks and a huge mirrored framed by lights. A jacuzzi claw foot tub and a glass showered that looked the same as the one in the guest bathroom. I was flabbergasted by his home and the more I explored the more I found beautiful about his home. Like the deck that was built on the back of the cabin that led to a dock at the pond. Or the beautiful flower garden with a pond full of various colored koi fish. Standing outside I turned to Jasper who was watching me intently. "Your home is beautiful. " I smiled at him. He furrowed his brow and pulled me to him looking confused. "This isn't my home." he told me making me pull back and look up at him. "This is our home Ensley. I built everything with you in mind. From the first day I sensed you not long after my 18th birthday, to the first time I caught your scent while exploring the forest. I always knew one day I would bring you here, to our home."
