Chapter four

1150 Words
3 months later "please, please, please" Sophie begged  "we've already watched it so many times" Ophelia attempted to reason "but no matter how many times I watch it, I love it all the same. So please!"  "Ugh fine, I give in. You put it on and I'll get the drinks" Ophelia gave in Ophelia made her way into Sophie's kitchen and headed straight to the cupboard containing cups. As she reached upwards she felt a poke on her shoulder. She quickly turned her head but no one was there.  She must've been imagining things.  She continued making the drinks before heading back to Sophie. As we walked through the doorway, a small breeze hit her causing her hair to fly back behind her shoulders.  It only lasted a second but Ophelia found herself dazed as she stared at the closed window in questioning thought.  "come on, It's starting" Sophie yelled "Here" Ophelia said as she sat next to her best friend and handed her the drink.  Sophie's legs had healed well in the three months since the accident. She could put weight on them again now but still walked with crutches and grew tired very quickly. However, with the support of her friends and family she was gaining strength back quickly.  The two friends cuddled on the sofa for two hours, Sophie was fully engaged with the Tv screen however Ophelia was trying to keep her eyes open.  Although Ophelia deeply loved Sophie, she would never enjoy Sophie's film choice but she sat through the pain in order to make her best friend happy.  "I think I'm going to head home now" Ophelia stated  "yeah it's getting late. Thanks for visiting me"  They hugged goodbye before Ophelia grabbed her jacket and began her journey home.  Ophelia had made it to the end of Sophie's street when she heard her name being called the first time. Ignoring what she thought must've been her imagination, she kept walking.  "I told you already that it's bad to ignore me" Ophelia barged into the figure that appeared in her path. She took a step back before staring at the mans face in shock.  "you" she whispered  "Hello again, Ophelia" he smirked  "what are you doing here?"  "I told you I was coming back for you"  He out stretched his hand and placed a stray piece of Ophelia's hair behind her ear. For the first time since they met, she looked at his appearance properly allowing her eyes to take everything in.  His black hair was tasselled in a messy way on the top of his head but cut short every so perfectly on the sides. His matching dark brows arched over his emerald green eyes. Perfect tanned skin was tight over his well structured cheek bones while his tight jaw created a shadow below it.  He was tall in height, Ophelia assumed he was 6'3 based off her 5'6 height. He had broad shoulders with a slim yet muscular build. Ophelia couldn't find any flaws.  "Well darling, as much as I like you're eyes exploring me I'll have to cut you short. We need to talk"  Ophelia responded to his comment with a dirty look before she stepped past him and continued walking.  "It looks like you had a good time with Sophie, aren't you glad you saved her?" he stated while joining Ophelia's side "you were watching me?" she questioned in disbelief "Of course, I have been for the past three months" he laughed  "you creep"  "not the worst thing I've been called" he shrugged  "when you have power like mine, Ophelia, you'll realise there is nothing that can stop you from doing what you want. It's quite incredible" he then continued  "you sound so full of yourself" He let out a laugh after hearing Ophelia's comment. Meanwhile Ophelia rolled her eyes at the fact that even his laugh sounded perfect.  She was thankful that when she looked forward her house was in sight. She hoped that he would leave her alone once she got home. "We need to talk about that deal, you're gonna have to start work soon" the devil told her  "You see I don't think that's a good idea after all" Ophelia replied as she stepped through the gate to her house  Unsatisfied with Ophelia's response, he clicked his fingers and teleported them both to a desolate park. Ophelia found herself stumbling into the new scenery. "What in the name of..." she began  "You'll get used to it"  "The hell I will"  "Please refrain from referring to hell, you haven't got a clue about it"  Ophelia blinked in surprise at the harsh tone to his voice. It was only in that moment that realisation started to kick in.  Ophelia was stood in front of the devil, the one and only.  A most powerful being, the living fear of all human kind and a creation that had the nerve to challenge god. "W-what do I call you?" She asked nervously  The devil didn't speak at first, for once he wasn't trying to remain quiet out of rudeness but because he didn't know the answer.  It had been so long since he was called by his real name, in hell he was addressed as sir but the people of earth called him the devil or Satan.  "My name is..." he swallowed hard before finishing "Lucifer"  "Lucifer" she repeated as she tested saying it out loud  "Let's get back to the matter at hand, you need to learn my rules"  Ophelia bit her tongue and waited for lucifer to continue "You're mine now, you agreed that when I saved Sophie so for the rest of you're life you'll belong to me and you'll do what ever I tell you to"  "I'm my own person... you can't just say you own me"  "But darling I can and I do. You can't take back you're agreement because otherwise I'll take back Sophie's life"  That made Ophelia freeze, of course he was right. She was completely trapped under his commands. How could she possibly refuse when Sophie's life was on the line.  "Do you understand me?" He asked  Ophelia didn't answer, she was still thinking about Sophie.  "Do you understand me?" Lucifer yelled  The sudden loudness caused Ophelia to step back out of fear. Power radiated off lucifer which made Ophelia intimidated.  Suddenly a hand was pressed against Ophelia's neck as she was held against a tree. Lucifer refrained himself from squeezing too tightly, he knew Ophelia was delicate.  "Answer me!" He barked  "Yes, I- I understand you" she gasped  He let go immediately and allowed her to catch her breath.  "I've got business to attend to, but I'll be back" Lucifer stated with his back turned to the kneeling Ophelia. Within a second Ophelia was back at her house, kneeling in front of the door.  "What have I done?" She whispered into the silence
