I get dressed to go school when I go downstairs I greet my dad and little brother throw on Noah's jacket and head out the door. By now, my dad has given up on complaining about me ridding Noah's bike since I had been doing it all summer. Placing on Noah's helmet and starting his motorcycle, I head to school. As I pull into the parking lot, I see Lee and Rachel waiting for me. As I get close to the spot Noah usually parked in I, notice another bike parked there shrugging I pull up beside it and climb off. All of a sudden, I hear behind me while I am putting away the helmet. "Well, well, well a hot biker chick goes to this school." Before I have a chance to say anything all of a sudden Tuppen is there and say's "Hey Evans, looks like Flynn left you his bike and jacket?" "I turn around and reply, "yep Tuppen he did and let me guess he has asked you to take on the role of my watchdog while he is away?" He chuckles, "He said you would figure it out fast."
Tuppen throws his arm over my shoulder very similar to the way Lee always does and walks me over to my BFF and his girlfriend Rachel. Once there he drops his arm looks at me and asks, "please don't start making nice with that guy. He is here because he got kicked out of the last school he was in, and Flynn will probably put me in the hospital if that guy hurts you o.k. Evans." I respond, "No, problem Tuppen I promised him I would be on my best behavior this year so he can concentrate there at Harvard." I walk over and hug Lee and great Rachel, "good morning, guys." Lee is just laughing and shaking his head "Of, all the people for my big bro to get to take care of you while he is gone, he chooses Tuppen now that is hilarious."
Lee throws his arm around Rachel and me, and we start to head off to class.
Sitting in my last class is taking way to long now all I can think about is texting Noah when I get home. That new guy was already in two of my classes and has tried repeatedly to get close to me, but good old Tuppen has not only kept his promise but has pretty much got the whole football team looking out for me so in all my classes I am surrounded by them.
When I get to Noah's bike, I pull out his helmet all of a sudden, I hear, "So, I take it that is your boyfriend's bike." I look up saying, "Yep, it is his name is Noah Flynn." I try to keep it brief and not be impolite since I promised Tuppen I would not become to close to him. I learned my lesson that these guys are only looking out for me. As I am getting ready to climb on, he comes up and grabs me around my waist. He whispers in my ear, "come on, don't play hard to get he is not here right now." I try to push him off but I can't. All of a sudden Lee is there yelling "Hey get your damn hands off Elle" The guy just glances over his shoulder and says "go away I am trying to convince this pretty lady to give me a chance. You already have your girl let me get one of my own." Lee grabs him, saying, "Not a chance buddy, that is my Shelly, and you will not treat her like this." The guy looks Lee up and down and laughs "Oh, I heard about you...you are supposed to be her best friend and her supposed boyfriend's brother...well get lost" Next thing I know Lee grabs the guy pulls him off of me and before I could even see what happens. Next, he is on the ground. Tuppen comes up and says, "Go Now I will take care of Lee, go dammit Evan's go now So I get on Noah's bike and speed away home.
