Alice     Dying the dress had been a stroke of genius. Lily had been right. Just the look on Luca’s face had proven it to me yet I felt a stab of fear as his hand tightened around mine. We would soon see if his father thought the same or whether he would think it was a complete insult. I didn’t know the significance of the dress, but I knew there was one. And you didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to know it was a painful one.
