  Luca     I needed to shower. Yet I couldn’t seem to drag myself out of the doorway. Was this what it was going to be like? With me coming home in the early hours and her curled up on the sofa, legs curled up o her chest in the foetal position. Her face even in sleep wasn’t relaxed. It was worried. Guilt gripped me. I shouldn’t have left her. I should have made sure she was safe, safe and happy. Hell, what happened tonight should never have happened. And the person responsible had paid.
