Chapter 1 Alice woke up the next morning by the alarm she set, it was already 7am, so she went into the bathroom did her business and came out, just as she was about to put on her clothes she received a phone call from Roger, which he said he want to meet her in a close tea shop, Alice quickly dressed up and went to the tea shop down the road. Roger was already there, impatiently waiting for her. “Good morning” Roger, Alice greeted. “Good morning” Roger replied. “Alice why didn't you tell me you are not the inheritor of the Leo's family?” Roger began to question Alice. “What does that has to do with our relationship?” Alice asked. “It has something to do with in our relationship” Roger replied. “It has nothing to do with our relationship,do you mean because I'm not the inheritor of the Leo's family you are not happy” Alice said. “Alice I'm not more interested in this relationship again, let's just go our ways, let's break up” Roger said. “Roger how could you do this, our six years relationship are you just going to break the relationship between us, because I'm not the Leo's inheritor?” Alice said as streams of tears flowed all over her face. “I've wasted six years of my life as your boyfriend, why don't you appreciate that?” Roger replied. “You did nothing,I was the one who did everything for this relationship to grow and here you are telling me, I'm unappreciative, aren't you the one who did not appreciate what I've done for you, and here you are ending the relationship just like that” Alice fired back at Roger. “Did I asked you to do all you have done for me?” Roger replied shamelessly. “Roger you are a betrayal!” Alice raised her voice at him. With what she said, Alice ran out of the tea shop. Costumers began to discuss with themselves how selfish, heartless and unappreciative Roger was. With all this happening Roger walked out of the tea shop. ★ Leo's mansion ★ When Alice returned home, the chefs were already done with breakfast. “Where are you coming from Alice?” Mrs Emma said. “I went to meet Roger” Alice replied with her hoarse voice. “Ohh I see, early this morning” Mrs Emma replied. “Just let her be” Mr Leo interrupted Emma before she could continue. “Thank you dad” Alice said cheerfully. After breakfast everyone move to their various rooms. ★ Alice room ★ Alice went into her room closed the door then recalled all what happened at the tea shop, tears flowed freely on her this guy she knew from high school would really do this to her. The man she fights against the world, gives up everything she has, and endures humiliation just to be with him.However, what she gets in return is betrayal, hurt, and abandonment from him she never thought he would do this to her, Alice cried her heart out. ★ Emma’s room ★ “Mom are you sure that, after we sent that message anonymously he would come after me?” Clara said. “I'm sure, don't you see Alice eyes were swollen and her voice was hoarse this morning, they might have broke up” Mrs Emma said. “If this doesn't work, what will we do?” Clara said. “Mommy would destroy any woman after the man you love, okay!” Mrs Emma said. “Thank you mommy” Clara said happily. ★ Study room ★ “Dad can you please call the driver for me,I want to visit mom today” Alice said. “What the surprise visit to your mom is there any problem?” Mr Leo asked. “I just want to say something to her” Alice said. “Why don't you tell daddy first” Mr Leo said. “Mommy’s first, you can come with me if you want” Alice suggested. “Ok ,let me pay her a visit with you” Mr Leo said. ★ At the mortuary ★ Alice dropped white flowers at the edge her mom's grave. “Good morning mom” Alice greeted. “Good morning my good and dear wife” Mr Leo greeted. “Mom I'm here to greet and ask for your advice” Alice said. “Today the man I've loved, fought against the world, beared all the humiliation for, called me this morning and told me everything between us is over, because I'm not the inheritor of the Leo family,how could he do this to me,so I ask for your advice should I move on or I should fight for justice ! ,I would wait for your advice in my dreams, please take care of yourself in heaven” Alice said. Mr Leo could not believe his ears, because she's not the Leo's inheritor the i***t called off the relationship,he could only blame himself for what's happening now ,if he had not signed the papers that day this wouldn't have been happening,he could only shed tears in regret. “Dad don't blame yourself for this,if that what you are doing now!” Alice said as she tried to hold back her tears. “If I didn't signed the papers this wouldn't happen to you” Mr Leo said. “That's in the past now,I shall find someone else who would love me without money” Alice said as she hugged Mr Leo. “Yes you shall find someone else who would love you without money, you are a pretty angel no one will reject you and whoever does that shall regret “Mr Leo said. “Thank you daddy, I love you so much” Alice said cheerfully. ★ Leo's mansion ★ “Daddy, welcome back” Clara said as she hugged Mr Leo. “Thank you” Mr Leo said. “Were you crying” Mrs Emma said. “Ohh no, I'm just too tired Mr Leo denied He walk passed Mrs Emma and left. “Alice were did you and your dad went to?” Mrs Emma questioned. “We just went to stroll” Alice denied because she knew if she had said the truth god know what will happen next,so she quickly walk away. “Am not sure this father and daughter are telling the truth” Clara said. “But what would make your dad to cry? He has always been a strong man” Mrs Emma said. “Uhmm, the mortuary maybe, only her and sister make dad shed tears and sis would not be able to bear it , so it's definitely her” Clara said. “Ohh my does that mean they went to the mortuary, without informing us” Mrs Emma said “We have to keep an eye on them” Mrs Emma said again ★ Hours later ★ It was dinner time and Alice was not yet down “Let's just start eating, I can't wait anymore” Clara said. “Go ahead I would just call her down” Mr Leo said. “I'm here, sorry for keeping you all waiting” Alice said as she claimed down the stairs. “Don't worry,my dear it's alright” Mr Leo said.
