CHAPTER 56
GENERAL TAYLOR AWAKENS early and puts on his dress attire. His driver picks him up at 0630 and takes him to his office. A few minutes later, Admiral Parker joins him. He, too, is dressed in his best.
“You ready for this, Parker?”
“As I’ll ever be.”
“I asked my four top commands to join us for a debriefing. Brigadier General Roberts, Colonel Smith, Colonel Andrews, and Major Samuels. They manage the squadrons and, most importantly, the drones. After I explain the situation, I’ll give each of them the full dossier of evidence.”
“You trust your men.”
“With my life.”
“Okay, I stand with you.”
A knock sounds at the door, and the general calls out “enter.” Soon, the room grows crowded with the six men.
