Roxy The next day, I woke up determined to talk to Ace. The day before had been wonderful, but I needed to make today count. After my shower, I pulled on some comfortable clothes and let my hair down since Ace liked it better that way. With a pep in my step and a firm hand on my stomach, I made my way toward Ace's office. I knocked twice before pushing the door open, but unfortunately, he wasn’t there. Deciding to wait, I settled into his chair behind the desk and took my time appreciating every detail of his office. It smelled like him—cedarwood and a hint of spice. It was comforting and made me feel closer to him. My eyes fell on a file sitting open on the desk.
