4 Days in L.A ... Solemnly written by Lucy boøks ❤️.... #Episode two#     Welcome to L.A *Korea* Seo-Yeon I stood at the queue as we waited for our Visa to be processed. I was now at the airport. Yes... I had finally gotten a chance. I was one of the lucky winners visiting L.A Before I left, grandmother gave me her ancient necklace which she had treasured for years. I feel bad for leaving her behind. "Next" The airport official said as it got to my turn. I gave her the necessary documents as she looked through it. "Oh, you're one of the chosen winners of Empire group" She spoke in English. I nodded even if I didn't really understand what she said. I've lived in the countryside of Korea all my life, so I didn't know much of English. "Have a nice trip" She told me. I got in the plane. I was flying second class. Well, I guess the company knew I was poor. This was my first time traveling with plane. I peeked out of the window as the plane moved to higher heights. We had already buckled our seat belts. The houses below now looked like small tiny boxes. Then I didn't see any thing below again. All I could see were silver clouds that looked like ice cream. Soon, we arrived at our destination. *CALIFORNIA* I was with the 'low class' group as an hotel official gave us a tour around the expensive hotel. Empire group had arranged the most luxurious five star hotel for the winners. I looked around as I wowed at everything I saw in sight. "The tour is officially over. You can go to your various rooms now". The hotel official said in Korean. My room? I don't know where my room is. I saw some group of people going in an elevator so I joined them. It took me to the top floor, and i saw each rooms opposite each other. I kept trying to unlock the doors even if I didn't have a key. But one of the doors opened without wasting much time. I pushed the Platinum door open and peeked in. Wow. This room was so beautiful. I could see the exotic kitchen from where I stood. What if this was my room? Since I didn't need a key to open this room, it should be mine. Right? Maybe that's how technology works. Yes. It should be. I dropped my Little suitcase on the couch as I explored more of the room. "Who are you?" I heard someone say behind me. I got startled, and slowly turned to look at the person. It was a man, or should I say a boy. He got killer features while his hands were tucked cooly in his pockets. "Are you one of the hotel officials?" He asked again in English. God. How do I tell him I don't understand English. Oh yes! I remember Bok Nam used to teach me little key words of English. "More... slowly... please" I managed to say in English. "Do you speak English?" He asked me in English. No response. "You speak Korean?" He asked me in the Korean Language. Ahh. Finally. "Ye. Annyeonghaseyo" I spoke in Korea. (Yes. Hello). "Do you work here?" He asked. Our conversation were now in the Korean Language. "No". I shook my head. "Then what are you doing in my room?" He asked again. He sure loves asking lots of questions. "Well... I thought this was my room". "You thought wrong. Now get out". "Huh?" "You heard me. Get out". That was so harsh. He didn't even let me speak, and he just asked me to leave. I took my suitcase, and left the room. * Authoress Pov* Jae-hoo who was the only child and heir to Empire group was a con artist which no one knew except his best friend (Tae-ho). He had ordered Seo-Yeon to leave his room even if she was nice. Almost immediately, Jae-hoo recalls seeing her with a necklace around her neck. It looked really familiar. ✌️ Jae-hoo ✌️ Such a crazy fellow. But come to think of it. I thought I saw her with a special necklace. I had seen it before. What if that necklace had something with good price? I dialed Tae-ho number. "Jae, am in my room. What's up?" He asked immediately he answered. "There's something I need to show you. So come up to my room in six minutes" I said and hung up. I better go look for her. I went out of the room, and searched for her everywhere. Luckily, I found her sitting just right outside the building. Thank God the necklace was still with her. She looked really tired. I cleared my throat to gain her attention. She looked at me with a surprised expression. "Am sorry with the way I acted earlier" I forced myself to say. She stared at me like she didn't hear what I was saying. Oh. Right. She doesn't understand English. I repeated exactly what I said but in the Korean Language. I continued. "So in order to make up for what I did, you could stay in my room, till I get you yours". Fuck that. I just need that necklace if it was genuine. She seemed happy with what I said. I guess she agrees. I helped her with her suitcase, and took her to my room. When we got there, Tae-ho was already waiting inside. Tae-ho was my best friend and we have been together for years. He was also a con artist, and we were making millions from the illegal business together even if we came from Rich homes. I signalled him to look at the necklace and when he did, his eyes gleamed. "Go in" I said to the girl. When she left, I asked Tae-ho. "So? Is it valuable?" He got his phone out, and typed on it. "According to what I've searched, that necklace should be a century old and worth billions of dollars. Good job Jae". Billions? What could a low class girl be doing with that necklace? Or could she be rich and was just pretending? Or didn't she really know she had such valuable necklace? Whatever it may be, I must get that necklace. "Jae. Do you smell that?" Tae-ho asked sniffing the air. I tried sniffing too. It smelled like something was cooking. "Maybe meat" I told him. "No. I Know every smell of delicacies both English and Korean. Smells like grilled ham". Yeah Tae-ho was a foodie. Wait. The kitchen was at the bottom of the hotel and how come we could smell grilled meat all the way here? And it's not even dinnertime. I rushed to the mini kitchen in my room and found the girl grilling meat in the furnace. I quickly stopped her from doing anything else. "Where you trying to burn the hotel?!" I yelled at her. "I was hungry and I had to make you guys Something to eat too". "This is a hotel, not a campsite where you cook anywhere. Here, we wait for room service" She looked at her shoes in sadness. I sighed and looked at Tae-ho. He was munching on the meat she had already grilled. I shot him a glare. "Dude, you gotta try this. It's really good". I was reluctant before eating and wow! It was really good. We had already settled and was now eating the grilled ham before someone entered the room. We all looked, and saw Ae-Ri standing at the doorway. Ae-Ri was my childhood friend, and I bet she had always had a crush on me. But I didn't like her that much to date her. She acted sweetly to me but acted rude to others including Tae-ho. And she was too clingy. She glared at the girl. I bet she's wondering what she was doing here. "Are we supposed to ask you to come in?" Tae-ho asked her. Ae-Ri just rolled her eyes and walked further into the room. "Who is she?" She asked referring to the new girl. "Someone better than you". Tae-ho answered even if Ae-Ri didn't want him to. "Would you keep shut?" Ae-Ri snapped at him. "Annyeonghaseyo" The girl greeted as she bowed her head. Ae-Ri scoffed. Jeez this is gonna be an annoying Trip. TBC. * * * Long comments for encouragement please.
