Sitting up slowly I looked around the room slowly taking in the soft green tones and the bright sunlight, the peaceful feeling the space tried to evoke. It should have been peaceful, a safe haven from the chaos of the outside world but this room had not been a haven for me, just another stop, because I had the distinct feeling I would not be returning.
Getting out of bed I went to the bathroom and took a long indulgent shower, lingering until the water turned cold, procrastinating the moment when everyone would want to talk to me. I didn’t really feel like talking. They’d all ask questions and want to talk about Diana and I still wasn’t sure how to fit all the puzzle pieces together.
