“Dante what have you done.” A soft feminine voice layered with solemn horror spoke from somewhere behind me but the world felt distant all of a sudden, in slow motion and nothing felt quite real. There was a distant sensation of falling but I couldn’t feel my body really any more and the world around me tilted on it axis, shadows swam at the edges of my vision, eating away at my vision.
“Madeline!” I heard my name in Dante’s deep voice, my name a single panic laden word and for a moment as everything faded the image of his face, deep blue eyes dark with worry filled my view before the darkness took over and I sank into the oblivion.
