The Human, Angel, and Wolf

Ceremony

By lunch time, I was bathed and showered. Susanne and I were talking and laughing in the living room of the alpha suite. She told me that lunch would be brought up to us so we could just relax where we were. 

"Okay, I noticed it earlier but I wanted to wait to bring it up." She looks at me pointily.

"Uh, okay. Bring what up?" I'm truly confused. We already talked about my wings and wolf.

She picks up my hand and squeals a little. "You're wearing an engagement ring!"

Right! I'm engaged, I mentally slapped my forehead! 

"Yes, I am! Haze said that it isn't a werewolf tradition, but I am so glad that he did! I just wish I could share this with my parents and brother. They wouldn't understand how or why we are so close so soon, but they would be happy."

"Helen, we will do everything in our power to end the threat against you and your family." She comes over and hugs me. I tried to stop them, but a few tears ran down my cheeks. 

Just as we pulled away, Haze walked in with an older couple I hadn't met yet. Although, the resemblance tells me everything I need to know. These are Haze's parents. 

Haze comes over and kneels in front of me to wipe my tears away. "Baby, why the tears?"

I let out an airy laugh and put a hand on his cheek. "I just wish I could share this with my parents and brother. I miss them."

He leans in closer and pulls me into a hug. He whispers in my ear, "I wish I could tell you that everything will be alright, but we both know I can't. I will tell you that, I will do everything I can to reunite you with them." 

I smiled into his neck, "Thank you. I love you so much."

He pulls back and kisses my lips. "I love you too." 

After another minute, we are aware of everyone else in the room. Haze pulls us to our feet and leads me over to my parents. 

"Helen, these are my parents, Liam and Eva. Mom, Dad this is my mate, Helen."

I didn't even have time to offer my hand to them before Eva rushed forward and pulled me into a hug. "I am so sorry that your family can't be here today and for all of the craziness that has turned your life upside down. I am so glad that my son found you though. You can call us by our first names or you can call us mom and dad." She pulled back and Liam pulled me into a hug. 

"You are a special woman, we are proud to have you in our family."

When he pulled back, I wiped my eyes and said, "Thank you for being so nice and including me in your family."

"It's our honor to call you family." Haze's dad answers as his mom takes my hand and leads me over to where Susanne is sitting.

"Ok, girls, tell me about the preparations and how I can help."

Susanne explains all that we've been doing. "Everything is prepared, now we just wait for sundown. If you would stay here with Helen, I'll go double check everything."

"Of course, I'd be happy to stay with her."

We begin getting to know each other. She asks about my life before coming here and I explain about my illness and what happened to heal me. She was sad about what I had to endure, but ecstatic about my wolf and wings. I asked her about their trip and she told me about the places they went and people they met. 

We didn't realize how long we had been talking until Susanne comes in with Marian and says it's time for us to get ready. We talked through the entire afternoon!

I introduced Marian to Haze's parents and they were very excepting of her and thanked her for everything she has been doing for me. 

Marian replied, saying, "I am happy that I have been able to help her and care for her. Her spirit reminds me of when I was that young. She can be quite the handful." She laughs and everyone but me joins in. 

I roll my eyes, "I'm not that bad."

Marian eyes me curiously. "Perhaps."

I raise an eyebrow at her, but she just waves me off. 

The men are kicked out and we ladies begin getting dressed. We continue to talk and laugh together. Eva does my hair while Susanne does my makeup. When they finished, they began on themselves while Marian helped me dress. 

"Are you nervous, Young One?" Marian asked as she zipped up the back of my dress. 

The dress is a very pretty forest green that goes down to my calves. It has spaghetti straps and a fitted bodice, flaring out at my hips. If I wanted to twirl, the dress would flare around beautifully. My hair had been in French pony tails with wisps of my black curls around my face. I have never felt so beautiful. 

"I'm not nervous, I feel this is where I should be. I'm a little sad my family isn't here though." I turn to look at her. 

She takes my hands in hers and squeezes, trying to give me a little comfort. "This is your destiny, that is why this feels right to you. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that they are not here with you. I know it is not the same, but I will be here for you." 

I lean forward and pull her into a hug. "You are a part of my family, I would not have the strength to get through all of this if you were not here. So many things have changed in a very short time and you have stayed with me through it all." 

"There will be many more challenges to come, but you can count on me to be there with you." 

We let go and continued with getting ready. 

When it is time, we all walk down to the front door of the pack house. Liam comes and escorts Ela to their seats and Jacob does the same with Suzanne. Marian stays with me and when we hear music start we walk towards a stage that had been built for this occasion. Haze was standing on it, looking at me. Our eyes connect and we smile at each other. 

Me: Angel, how are you?

Angel: I'm good, babe. I cannot wait to bond with my mate. 

When we get to the front, Marian hands Haze my hand and says, "You hurt my girl, there won't be a place you can hide in this world I won't find you." She spoke quietly, but everyone here had wolf hearing so everyone chuckled. Some coughed trying to hide their laughs. 

"I could never hurt her. I'd sooner die." Marian nodded and took a seat. Haze turns to me and kisses my forehead, "You look beautiful."

"Thank you, you look very handsome yourself."

Haze growled a little, but it wasn't threatening, it was out of content. 

He turns out to everyone and addresses them, "Wild Moon Pack, I give you your Luna Helen!." Everyone claps, some whistle. "Tonight, with the blessing of the Moon Goddess, we will proceed." He turns to me now and I promise to support our pack and alpha, love our members and meet their needs, and to lead with humility. After my final promise, the wind picks up and swirls around me and Haze, then around our entire pack. 

There is a pinch in my mind and I am then connected to the pack mind link. Everyone, except our small group, was surprised. No one knew that I had a wolf yet. Soon the link was filled with many voices congratulating me. 

In the link I respond to everyone, "It is nice to meet you all, I hope to meet and speak with you all in person. I promise to be there for each of you and be the best Luna that I can be for you."

Again everyone was surprised, but they all cheered again. No one addressed my it was surprising that I responded. 

Haze turned to our pack and held up his hand for them to quiet. As they do, Liam walks onto the stage and stands so that Haze and I are between him and the pack. 

"Marriage is not something that we werewolves normally do, as you all know. However, since my Luna was raised human, I wanted to give her the wedding that she has always wanted." He turns to me and his eyes are wet with unshed tears. "Tonight, my father will marry us."

I close my eyes and smile and tears leek out, "It's prefect."

He grins and turns to his dad with a nod, Liam walks us through our "I do's" and then asks us to share our vows with one another. 

Haze starts, "Helen, we haven't known each other long and in the human world we would be considered to have moved very quickly in our relationship. In the werewolf world, this is quite normal, in fact we would be considered to have been moving slow. I want you to know that I have fully committed to you and our family. Never will you question my loyalty and devotion to you. Never will you question how long my loyalty and devotion will last. Today our souls bind together and become one, as they were always meant to be. I am yours until my last breath, nothing will ever change that. My love for you was strong the moment I laid eyes on you, and it has grown everyday since. It will continue to grow each day. I am yours and you are mine."

He whispers that last line and reaches to wipe the tears coming down my face.

I take a deep breath before I begin. "Haze, I have never ever doubted what we mean to each other and your loyalty and devotion to me. You have shown me what it means to be cherished and wanted. You have been so patient with me even though I was human, and on top of that ill. Thank you for loving me and supporting me. A wise lady said that this is my destiny, it feels right to be by your side, right here and right now. I wouldn't change a thing. I promise to be by your side through all of the good parts and not so good parts of our life together. I promise to love you and support you. I am yours and you are mine, till our last breath."

Haze pulled me to him and kissed me, everyone else faded away but I heard everyone chuckling. After a moment, Liam clears his throat to get our attention. Haze stops kissing me to look at him, but doesn't let me go. 

"You may kiss your bride now." Haze's father laughs as he says the words that end the ceremony. 

Haze grumbled, 'I was." He kissed me again, but it was much sweeter than the one before. 

Now it is time for our pack run. There is a changing tent set up for me and Haze leads me to it. 

"Do you want me to stay or do you want to be alone?"

"Stay, please?" I grabbed his hand and he pulls me into his arms. I don't want to pull away, but we know that everyone is waiting on us. 

"Okay, so Angel will give you directions, but don't fight her. Let her come forward and let your body accept the change you will go through." 

I nod and Haze turns around while I take my clothes off. 

Angel: Babe, this is going to be painful, but trust me and our mate. Let me come forward, don't fight the pain and changes. 

Me: Okay, I trust you, Angel. 

She nods and the process starts. It is extremely painful, not quite as painful as growing my wings though. It feels like it lasts forever, but was really only about ten minutes. Finally, all of the pain stops and I realize I'm on four legs. I am still the one driving, but Angel is closer to the surface than when I'm in my human body. 

I go over to Haze and Angel rubs our body all over his legs. We see that Tate had come forward and was looking through Haze's eyes. 

Haze starts to undress and I turn our body around so we aren't watching. Angel growls at me for it and I roll my eyes at her.  

I want to see what we look like so I walk over to a mirror that I didn't notice before. I don't know how big wolves normally are, but I thought that our size was large. Our fur is black as night, there was moonlight streaming in from the top of the tent and gave our fur an almost blue look. On our left thigh there was a silver mark shaped like wings, my angel wings!

Alex and Haze walked over and each wolf sniffed each other and rubbed their heads and necks together. We were not as tall as Alex, but we were only a few inches shorter. His wolf was grey, with black feet. He was gorgeous. 

We stepped out of the tent and as soon as everyone saw us, they all gasped.
