“Your Highness” Josh tried to get up but I stopped him
“Wait for me outside” I said to Stephen and he went out.
“I sat beside him on the bed.
“How are you feeling?? And where is that nurse I assigned to you? I told her to be with you all the time. I thought she was dedicated to her work but looks like I have to replace her with someone else” I said everything in one breath.
“Calm down Princess. Take a deep breath”
“Now please don’t be mad at the nurse. She was with me since the morning. I gave her leave for lunch. You are not mad right??”
“No, if its only a lunch leave”
“Well, she told me about the whole case with the royal doctor. I am so proud of you Princess. You did great. But what is his punishment??”
I smirked, “Getting whipped to death”
“How?? He didn’t commit that big crime?”
“I may or may not have lied to my father that he threatened people to whip them to death. So he got the same” I said sheepishly.
“That was not right Princess”
“But he refused to treat you, so he has to face the consequences” I whined to him.
“Ok ok, but you can’t continue this. You are going to be the queen in nine days”
“Of course”
A question popped up in my mind.
“Josh, what happened to the assassin, who came to kill me?”
“He died during the fight” He was going to die anyway.
“Josh I am leaving right now. I will come to meet you in the evening. Take care”
“I will bye Princess” he smiled and waved.
I walked out, not knowing what was going in Josh’s mind.
Josh’s Pov
She walked out after meeting me. I am so happy she came to meet me.
I still remember that day like yesterday, when she called me ‘Her Brother’, a lowly guard as me.
Since then, I loved her like my own sister and took a vow to protect her my whole life. We act like brother and sister and talk informally only when we are alone. We can’t risk her reputation.
She always tries to do things for me even if she has to lie. Just like today, she lied about his threat, just because he refused to cure me and now he will be whipped to death. I mean he would have gotten into prison for some years for lying but he would have never expected that.
By that, I remember that I have to deal with that mother fucker who tried to kill my Princess.
As I was standing up, I saw that old nurse coming back. She just talks too much, if my princess hadn’t appointed her for me, I would have kicked her out of here.
“Oh Mr Finn, you shouldn’t get up. Your wound is not healed completely” ahh can’t she just keep her mouth shut. I was happy that she was gone for lunch.
I reached for my sword placed on the drawer beside my bed. Took it out from its shell and placed it directly on her throat.
Her eyes went wide and she was shaking like a leaf.
“M…Mr Fi…Finn”
“Shut up and listen to me. From now on you will keep quiet and will speak only when spoken to. I am going out for half an hour. You will not tell a soul about that. Are we clear??”
“Yes Mr Finn”
“Good” I said and walked towards the window.
I jumped out of there and through my secret passage, reached to my secret t*****e room.
This is where I t*****e all the traitors and assassin that tries to harm my Princess.
I walked inside the room and saw that assassin tied to a chair.
Blood on his face and body, but what amused me that he was sleeping, sleeping.
Looks like my soldiers weren’t entertaining him properly.
I slapped him hard and he jerked open his eyes.
“So how did you like the service from my staff in my absence. Well by the way you were sleeping, I will take it that you are not satisfied but don’t worry, I am here now” I said with a smirk that terrified him.
“No please don’, they have already tortured me enough. Please let me go. I have already told them everything I know” he begged but how can I after he tried to kill my Princess.
“Well as you have told everything, you are of no use. I think I should free you” he nodded his head frantically. A look of hope in his eyes.
“But before that, I want to tell you something”
“You know everyone values their lives more than anything and you know what, Her Highness Nina, she is my sister, my life and my princess” I yelled madly.
“And you threatened my life. So now you have to die for threatening my life” I laughed and in one swift moment, separated his head from his body.
The gate on my right opened and my only friend walked in.
“I still don’t understand your loyalty and love for her” Zake said.
“What is there that you don’t understand? I told you before I won’t even get married cause that will divert my attention from her”
“I understand that you don’t want to now but what about when you grow old?? Won’t you feel a need for a life partner then and what about your legacy and don’t you have s****l needs??”
“Maybe when I grow old but not right now. I want to be completely focused on my Princess safety. To answer your next question, there are sluts everywhere, so I don’t need to worry about that and about my legacy. I will just adopt a child”
“I can’t with you” he shook his head in disappointment.
“What information did you receive from that bastard?”
“He is from Sun kingdom and is just an assassin. No family”
“This is the third attempt of Sun kingdom. I think I should notify about it to the princess. I should go now before someone notices my absence and tell her about it”
No one threatens my life and gets away with it.
