I have a bf right now, steady naman kami and happy,
I can't just resist not to think about how is it like to be married, to have that proposal for marriage, di naman ako nagmamadali knowing our priorities.
I had a 4 years relationship with my ex-bf before my present bf. He proposed to me many times, kahit nag-aaral pa siya. Malakas loob niya dahil gusto niya nang takasan ang buhay kasama ang lola at lolo niya who in his birth cert were his legal parents, his real dad is a doctor, kapatid niya sa papel. Ang real mom niya naman may ibang family na at recently lang din sila naging super close. Alam niya na susuportahan siya ng real mom and dad niya if ipu-push naming magpakasal.
He showed me the ring, it was cute engagement ring. Mahal ko siya that time, he proposed sa church. I turned him down many times dahil nag-aaral pa kami. And I can't imagine my mom, my tita na mortal na kaaway ng lola niya na magkakasundo or what their reaction will be.
I just thought he'll wait. Till, we broke up. We haven't talked since then, no closure. He has a new gf 2 years before I have mine, then, just last week. I saw our mutual friends congratulating him, and saw na nag-propose na siya sa gf niya, even if nasa law school pa siya, afford niya naman na, eh.
It was okay with me. I wish him happiness not until he posted a pic of her fiancée's hand. It was the same ring he wanted me to have, he captioned,
"She finally said yes, the ring fits you, my love."
I was astounded. But, I am happy, still. Whatever that means, I know my own man will do the same thing. If I just have to wait.
To my ex and his fiancée, congrats!
