Nathan was driving back to his apartment and hoped Kimberly awaited him. He instructed Amy to tell her he would return tonight. But it was already late; the flight was a bit delayed. Perhaps he shouldn't have hoped much.
Surprisingly, Kimberly sat on the floor in front of his door, sleeping. She was tired. He put down his luggage and crossed his legs at her reach. He touched her face gently, afraid to wake her. Then he recalled Henry's warning.
"No, it's impossible she couldn't even break a promise." He murmured and carefully carried her to his room.
Kimberly seemed to be in deep sleep. He lays her in bed and removes her shoes. He stares at her longer while touching her face again, caressing it. Unknowingly, he moves closer to her lips and claims it. It was supposed to be a simple kiss, but he was tempted. There's no doubt he misses her. His kisses became torrid and woke her.
"Nathan...." She cried, surprised.
"What?!" He uttered.
For Nathan, the word "what" means, "Did she just really call him by his first name?" but for Kimberly, it means he wants to have s*x, and "what " means "She's refusing." So she gave him passionate kisses too.
Nathan thought about refusing, yet he was already tempted. There was something about her kisses that he could hardly explain. She was also the first to take the initiative, by unbuttoning his shirt while kissing his neck, arousing his man@hood. He couldn't help to growl as she glanced at him innocently.
"Don't look at me like that." He huskily speaks.
Kimberly thought it was a command, so she stopped and stared at him, disappointed.
"F#ck." He cussed and quickly claimed her lips.
He torridly kisses her while removing her clothes. She also helps remove his jeans as she reaches for the buttons. He lay her on the bed while they still continued kissing. She spread her legs wide, getting ready for him to take her into ecstasy. He took the condom from the bedside table before he dived himself inside hers.
"Nathan..." She moaned, calling out his name.
Nathan holds her hands tightly as he moves faster and deeper on top of her.
"Nathan..." She continues crying his name out loud. She placed her hands around his neck while he continued moving, and his breathing got heavier.
"Kimberly..." He moaned too, and kissed her again as the heat of their bodies intensified.
This is the third time they have connected their bodies into one. However, this moment was special since there was no angst of hatred and regret. It was only pure lovemaking while calling out each other's names.
"You're learning." He sneered with closed eyes.
"I am just doing my job." She answered and pulled the blanket to cover herself.
"This will be one of my best nights with you." His eyes were still closed, but he was smiling widely.
"Should I take it as a compliment?" She was a bit upset and rose to take her clothes. Nathan grabbed her wrist quickly.
"I have another job for you," he said, and pulled her back.
"What is it?" She asked.
"My best friend will have his victory party next month, and I want you to come with me. And all you have to do is pretend to be my girlfriend." He proudly speaks, thinking she'll agree right away. He was confident that he was every girl's dream. To be known as the girlfriend of the most handsome, good-looking, hot, wealthy man, Nathan Conner, was a privilege.
"Why me?" She scowled unknowingly. He was surprised.
"I'll pay you, don't worry. It's not part of the deal. As long as it turns out well, name me the price. I'll give it to you." Nathan thought money would change her mind quickly.
"But why me? Don't you have any real girlfriends?" She asks softly.
"If I had one, you're not here making love with me." He answered and shifted slightly.
"Making love?" She glanced at him poignantly. He nodded.
"Well, I wonder why you are such___" She added.
"Don't start it!" He said with a warning.
"So what's the plan? How can I do it?" She changed the topic.
"Tomorrow, when you leave my apartment, I want you to take those paper bags and use what's inside."
"Aren't those the dresses you bought at the shopping mall last time?"
"Yes, it's yours."
"Even the cell phone?" She asked in disbelief.
"Of course."
"But it's too expensive!" She protested but quickly stopped as Nathan gave her a mean look.
"Well, I mean, I can't use it in my place simply because there's a lot of bad guys on our street. You know what I mean. I couldn't risk my life on an expensive cell phone. You did understand me, right?" She explained.
"Fine, keep it then; I'll buy you a cheaper one tomorrow."
"Does it have to be necessary?"
"Of course! So you can easily contact me without my secretary's knowledge."
"That's a better idea."
"Why? Is she threatening you?" Nathan was worried that she was puzzled a bit.
"No, but she's interrogating me as if she is jealous."
"Jealous?" He repeated and laughed hard.
"Why? It's obvious she likes you." She said innocently.
"That's funny, but never mind, I'll fire her tomorrow! " He said.
"What? Fire her?" She protested.
"Just kidding, my dad will never allow it since he hired her. But you don't have to worry. I already warned her to treat you nicely." He stroked her chin and lay back straight on his pillow. He closed his eyes again.
"So that's why she suddenly talked to me politely." She whispered.
"Hmmm... Can I tell you something?" She started.
"Mmm??" He murmured.
'You said you'd buy me a cheaper cell phone tomorrow?"
"Yes, why?" He opened his eyes and glanced at her.
"Ahem....." She reached for her bag and pulled out something. "I bought this yesterday from a friend, and it was half paid since you're gonna' buy me, maybe..." Kimberly was a bit hesitant, but Nathan held the cell phone.
"You call this a cellphone?" He teased.
"Of course, it's cheaper and not a touch screen like yours." She quickly takes it back, a bit shy.
"Sorry, I thought it was soap." He laughed again.
"You're hard!" She cried. But deep inside, she wanted to laugh too.
"I was kidding! How much is it anyway?"
"Really?" Then she turned to him, smiling widely.
"Don't make me change my mind..."
"Hi-hi-hi." She chuckled sweetly for the first time and even giggled. Nathan just loved her reaction when he quickly pulled her and kissed her sweet, tender lips.
"How much?" He asked. Nathan appreciated her priceless reaction to a small thing. He couldn't even imagine her face if he would give her the world. He wants to witness it and take everything as a challenge.
"It's two thousand bucks." Kimberly felt awkward as she spoke about the money. She thought if only things were different, perhaps Nathan would be the most wonderful man she had ever met.
"Fine, I'll give it to you tomorrow." He said, trying to read what was in her mind. Then he lay back on his pillow.
"Tomorrow? You mean I'll stay here the whole night?" She moved closer to him.
"Why? Is there a problem with that?"
"Nothing..." She smiled again and lay back beside him with a space between them. Nathan moved closer and pulled her to face him. He embraced her tightly while crossing his legs on her hips.
"Good night." He whispered and kissed her lips shortly before closing his eyes.
Nathan's face was an inch away from her, and she could almost feel the warmth of his breath. She stared at him and realized he was undeniably good-looking.
"Could it be possible for him to fall in love with me? No... that's crazy..." She thought and touched his face gently.
"Don't try to tempt me again. You have already got me tired." He murmured, grinning. She was surprised and quickly blushed.
"I'm not." She cried shyly and moved away. Nathan pressed his face closer to hers. He opened his eyes once again.
"Let's do it again tomorrow. I will surely love it!" He sneered and kissed her a bit longer, another passionate kiss he enjoyed.
"For now, we should be sleeping." He said and closed his eyes. She obeyed to avoid her nonsense thoughts.
A few minutes passed, and Kimberly was still wide awake; perhaps she was intimidated because they were too close. She tried to open her eyes and found Nathan in his deep sleep. She starts to stare at him again. She uncontrollably touched his face gently and stroked it down to his lips.
"Why is it confusing? I almost forgot I was a prostitute. Why did it feel so different? What happened tonight means something that I don't understand. What is it?" She asked herself while laying her head on his chest. To her surprise, he embraces her.
"Is this love?" She thought.
It was already eight in the morning when Kimberly woke face-to-face with Nathan. She wondered why, as she remembered moving her position before going to sleep. But it was actually Nathan; he had woken earlier feeling something heavy on his chest, so he pulled her back on his pillow.
Kimberly starts to stare at him. She couldn't control the hidden feelings disturbing her thoughts last night, so she planted a short kiss. Nathan did not react, so she kissed him again, and to her surprise, he opened his eyes gently. She quickly moved away, frozen.
"What's with that look?" He asked, clueless.
"Nothing." She softly said and raised her head.
"Mr. Conner..." She added after a long pause.
"Mr. Conner?" Nathan repeated cautiously and took his face closer to her.
"I remember, it was last night..." He added, grinning.
"You just called me by my name, not just once but many times, whimpering my name beautifully." He continued while pulling her closer to him.
Kimberly knew how her cheeks were so red she could feel her face hot. Nathan seems to enjoy it as he kisses her softly and passionately.
"You know what... it stuck in my head like a lullaby..." He murmurs into her ear and bites it. She pushed him away.
"Stop playing with me." She stood with obviously red cheeks. Nathan laughed hard and lay back on the bed.
"You go ahead, first to the bathroom; I'll order something for breakfast."
"Why?" She shyly asked.
"Unless you want me to join you?" He continued teasing her.
"Fine, I'll go ahead then." She ran, trying to avoid him.
"You better get used to calling me by my first name!"
"Whatever," She said and went straight to the bathroom, still thinking about Nathan's actions.
Is this for real, or is he only playing again?
