RUN RUN RUN.. That's all I can hear I can feel he's close but I cant see him anywhere and that makes him so much more dangerous. My name is Jolene Michaels my true mate was killed and my son has fled his fathers attacker. I thought finding a father for Cairo would be easy I would wait for my second chance mate but that didn't work out. I was forcefully marked and mated by a man that I didn't love nor want he was always watching me no matter where I was he was always right behind me. the day he marked me was the worst day of my life. I ran to the Alpha and Luna and told them he had done this by force while holding my bleeding neck. The Luna ran to me with a wet wash cloth and helped me clean it up as i was already so tired. The Alpha just stood there and yelled at me WE KNOW WHY YOU CAME HERE!! he said WE KNOW HE DIDNT MARK YOU BY FORCE YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO GET A DECENT MAN INTO TROUBLE!!! I flinched at his words even the Luna knew that wasn't true. She tried to get her mate to listen to us but he refused and then that man showed up and as I screamed NO GET AWAY DON'T TOUCH ME I REJECT YOU AS MY MATE!! he just looked at me and smiled.... well my mate I don't accept your rejection he then picked me up as i kicked and screamed for him to put me down I screamed at the Alpha YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN HE WILL KILL ME! the Luna came to run after us but the Alpha stopped her the last thing I heard him say was '' she's not our problem'' and ''She's deserves this after what she did to her first mate'' the look on her face was shock and guilt she knew I had nothing to do with my loves death I had been with her the entire day we were pregnant at the same time so we were bonding about our mates and our soon to be pups we even went into labor at the exact same time. She had a son also and we had plans to let them grow up together and be best friends well hoped that would happen. but that attack changed everything. we were in the safe room with the other mothers and pups while everyone was fighting. Everything was fine until i felt like my whole body was being torn to shreds. My heart was broken my mate had died next thing i knew i was being dragged into a cell and being questioned as to why the rouges attacked i told the Alpha and beta I had no idea and then I asked about my mate and I was sadly informed that he had died. i held my son and cried for days I was all alone in that cell nobody would talk to me or even visit Cairo my poor baby boy would never know how great his father was or how much we loved each other and Cairo. The day i got released i thought would be a joyous one but i was mistaken because as soon as I got back to my house William was standing there with a very smug smile on his face like he had won first prize and i was scared to think if what that prize would be. not so long after that i found out it was me.. After getting home and being forcefully marked and mated William started hurting Cairo and threatening him and i every day that he would take Cairo some place far away and i would never see him again. He hates that Cairo was always around i would sleep in Cairo's room or not sleep at all to make sure William never laid a hand on him. The day William killed Cairo's mate my heart broke for him so badly I watched William snap her neck because she refused to leave my son for him. as my son held her body I started to walk towards them but was held back by him for just long enough for a needle to go into my neck and I started to shift into my beautiful blue/grey wolf. once I had fully shifted he kicked me and tried to collar me so I couldn't go anywhere but I ran, I looked back long enough to give Cairo a look of regret because I couldn't help him. I watched as he nodded his head he knew what had happened and he knew that I loved him very much but I had to run to protect myself. I've never been to far away from him though so if he ever needed my help I would come running if I could. I think he knew I was always close by I can tell by his smell how close he is but I never let him get too close for fear that William is also close by. As I reach the pack border I try and mind link Cairo hoping that he will hear me. I reach the first set of guards and as son as I get to them I collapse ''Cairo darling its mother please come help me I'm at the border and I am very weak. I fall unconscious onto the feet of the guard, but not before hearing Cairo yell MOM!!! I'M COMING!!. next thing I know I'm being rushed into the pack house as the Alpha and Luna are approaching me I can feel Cairo coming closer I can sense his worry for me as he explains who I am and why I'm here before I fall asleep again I hear this beautiful girl tell me welcome to the pack and that I will be safe here. I look towards the Alpha and he nods his head in approval I can finally relax
