A New Life

I had been sick for a few years, and I knew the time was coming soon. It hurt to leave my family behind, but I was happy with everything I had accomplished holding my youngest child's hand as I closed my eyes for the last time my only wish was to be reborn into the world I had always fantasized about then everything went dark. I didn't feel afraid it was almost a surreal calm that washed over me. everything was dark, but I was still aware I'm not sure how long that lasted until I heard crying. The noise of crying seemed rather close, and then there was this bright light that surrounded me as I tried to open my eyes and look around it was hard to take in my surroundings. I realized quickly that the noise was coming from me. as I peeked around, the room was massive with dark red walls with golden trimming. I can see two people in the room with me a rather exhausted looking woman, but the exhaustion didn't take away from her light blue eyes and her deep red hair she looks like the definition of beauty. the man was standing behind her his rough looking hand lay gently on her shoulder with a bright smile on his face, his hair as black as night and deep blue eyes almost as dark as his hair. I raise my hand to look at them, and just as I suspect, they are hands of an infant. these people must be my parents. I really lucked out to have such beautiful people as my parents. "Honey, what should we name her?" My mother spoke gently. "Well, the twins are Bellmy and Searhafena. How does Selenea sound?" My father said to her. After that exchange, she just looked at me quietly. It seemed that was my name. although it seems I will be stuck in this body for a while, I will have to wait until I am able to move on my own to wander around this world. I have twin older siblings. I wonder how much older they are than me. As I am thinking about the new possibility of my new life and doors to the room burst open and two children looking around the age of 3 come rushing threw the door. Sarahfena looks just like my mother, and to contrast, Bellamy looks just like my father. "Can I hold her mom?" Sarahfena asked her eyes, brimming with excitement. "Yes, but you need to sit down while holding her," my mother said. Sarahfena hopped onto one of the chairs in the room and outstretched her arms, ready to hold me. my mother placed me in her arms. It is an interesting feeling being so aware from the beginning looking up at her she is really beautiful and laying in her arms is so cozy I could fall asleep any second. "Hay mom she looks kind of like a mix between you and dad her eyes are dark like dad's on the inside and closer to the center its like mom's blue eyes and her hair is a mixture of black and dark red she is adorable!" Sarahfena said while smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back at her. "Mom! she just smiled at me!" sarhafena shouted "Not fair. It's my turn to hold her," Bellamy said while pouting. I couldn't help but laugh. "Ha, she just laughed at you, Bellamy," Sarahfena said. They bother glare at each other. It's going to be an interesting life growing up with these two by my side. I feel my eyelids getting heavier as I drift off to sleep. When I opened my eyes again, I was being moved in a basket. I looked around and realized my two siblings were carrying me. "shhhh, we need to be quiet if mom and dad find out we snuck Selena out of her room. we will get in a lot of trouble," Sarahfena whispered we came to a big glass door that opened quietly. Bellamy picked me up and turned me to look over the balcony. the view was filled with a massive garden with a large wall surrounding the entire estate I didn't realize before, but we basically live in a castel. Past the wall is a giant forest leading to a bright sprawling city with tons of houses and in the center a building that looks kind of like the colussme from my world. But, what surprised me the most was the flashing lights that seemed to be hitting each other and lighting up the sky. "You see the lights in the sky that is the wizards they have a torment every year on this day to see who will be crowned the strongest. isn't that cool the day you were born is the day of the torment." Bellamy said I could feel him looking down at me, but I couldn't take my eyes off the blazing lights fighting in the sky. It exists the world I always wanted to live in exists. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. If this is the world we're magic exisits, then I should be able to sense it. I can feel a warmth the size of a flame in my chest as I focus. I can feel it spreading through my body. This must be the magic of this world. I wonder if I can see my siblings' magic. I focus on them, and in their chest, I can see it, but it looks like its locked. I wonder why this will have to be something I look into once I can walk on my own. before I know it, my eyes are closing again. It's frustrating being a baby and needing to sleep so much. I try to fight sleep as long as I can to watch the lights in the sky, but before I know it, the world goes dark, and I drift off in a warm embrace.
