*Vincent's Pov*

A rogue....my mate...a rogue is my mate...my MATE is a ROGUE. What am I supposed to do with this. My whole life I've been raised to hate, hunt them and kill them. I don't know how to even approach this, how would I tell my pack? My mother? My kingdom? Oh my goddess, how the hell am I going to tell my father. He hated rogues more than I do, he would purposely go out of his way to kill her because he despises them that much. Most father and son quality consists of going fishing, playing catch, watching football or for our kind hunting deer but no not for me and my father, we only done these things for my birthday but every Saturday morning my father would wake me up before sunrise to go hunt for rogues. Don't get me wrong, he's a very kind man and an incredible father. My mother says he's the most caring husband and wife could dream of and the people love him dearly but when it comes to rogues he is a completely different man however so am I. I can never show mercy for rogues even if I want to because of my father, I don't even want to imagine how he would react to me showing one mercy... let alone one being my mate. I can't tell him, maybe I won't even have to. It doesn't count as lying if I just don't tell him does it? I'm so screwed. 

"Youre such a wimp Vinnie" Axel is laughing at me of cause.

"Shut up, I'm not a wimp. I'm just not stupid when it comes to father" this is true, father doesn't miss a thing.

"Oop Vinnie heads up" heads up?

"Hey son what was all that fuss this morning?" I haven't even turned to face him yet, oh god oh god. Breath. I can do this. I had better turn to look at him or he'll know something's up.

"Son what's wrong?" Breath. Breath breath.

"I found my mate" why did I just say that?!

"That's amazing, I'm hap..." He tried to congratulate me but for some reason my mouth would stop running.

"And she's a rogue" oh s**t.

"Huh?"

"Plus she's Lukas brother...."

"Wait stop"

"While we're at it, she's also a direct descendant to the moon goddess like Luka" I think that everything? Right Axel? "Yep that's everything, now just to watch him explode" at least Axel is here with me in this moment I suppose.

"Holy s**t that's a lot of information in 30 seconds" woah that's new language coming from the polite mannered man I've grown to recognise.

"I know father but please understand, she's my mate, I may not accept her as it but I can't bare her coming to any harm either" I pray he shows her mercy, even if I am king now, it doesn't mean he would listen to me. 

"WHAT?!" He's mad, he's going to kill her.

"Run to her, protect her now you moron!" Axel is fighting for dominance to find our mate.

"Father please try to understand" I can't believe I'm king and yet I'm begging someone to do as I ask.

"How the hell could you reject your mate?! What is wrong with you! You could kill her and yourself doing such a thing, do you understand that? You only get 1 true mate in your lifetime and you're going to throw that away. Sort your damn head out you stupid, stupid boy!" Wait.... what? 

"You're not mad that she's a rogue...." I'm in genuin shock.

"Mad that she's a rogue? Son, all I heard was you had found your mate. You shouldn't care what I think anyway, she's your destined Luna" he looks saddened that i hought he'd expect me to reject her.

"But you raised me to hate rogues, to believe all should be killed" I wonder if he's sees my confusion.

He rests his hand on my shoulder before telling me something that was so true yet I had forgotten. "Yes I raised you despise rogues BUT I raised you to cherish your mate above all else".

"Thankyou father" I bring my hand to his and give it a tight squeeze before we both heard my mother coming. I look at my father and he gives me the same look, followed by a simple nod with his head i understand what he's saying. 

"Oh boys don't stop your whispers on my account, I'm only your wife..." she looks over at my father with a raised eyebrow, "and I'm only your mother..." she looks at me with the same look, "why would you feel the need to tell ME anything" rolling her eyes and crossing her arms she wants for a reply. Instead me and my father just look at one another which leads to us both laughing like school boys. "Go on now son, we'll see you at dinner" with a quick smile he wraps his arm around my mother's waist and walk away. They always seem so happy but I'm guessing that's because they are. He's always cherished my mother as she has him.

I'm wondering towards my office when a pack member, a soldier, mind links me. "Alpha there's a wolf put attacking our beta, what should we do? He keeps telling us to stand down" a wolf? Who would be dumb enough to attack our beta? That rogue.

I take off dull speed through the house and as soon as I reach outside I shift to my wolf. I keep control because when it comes to our mate... I mean the rogue, Axel wouldn't lay a paw on her even if it was for our betas life. "Vincent calm down, you don't know the full story!" He tries compromising with me but it won't work, I never should have trusted her. "Shut up Axel, she's attacking our Beta, our FRIEND" I'm not wrong, I know I'm not. "You don't know that! Why would he tell the soldiers to stand down if she's attacking him?!" No I refuse to listen just because of his infatuation with her. I push him to the back of my mind and head towards her scent. 

There she is. She pinning Luka down my the neck in his wolf form. "Vincent stop!" Once again I ignore him and charge at her, my wolf's head smashing into her side, knocking her down to the floor. She let's out a loud howl causing Axel to whine but I refuse to let a rogue attack any pack member. "I should have known not to trust a rogue, your kind are nothing but vile creatures who should never be allowed to walk this earth" I'm beyond angry, disgusted in fact. I lower my tone so only her and Luka can here me "you will NEVER be my mate or my Luna"

There's pain in my heart, but why? I'm angry, not hurting.

"This isn't just your heart Axel, I feel the pain she does. We feel pain." He let's put a few whimpers and hides in the back of my mind. "She attacked Luka for goddess sake! Axel stop feeling like that!" He doesn't answer, that's a first. "AXEL!" Still nothing. 

I'll deal with him later, now to deal with the rogue.
