Chapter Fifty-Seven The water was arctic, but Sam wasn't sure whether it was that or the fact that she'd snorted a lot of the bucket they'd just thrown in her face. Coughing and sputtering, she rolled onto her side. Her hands clutched her aching head. Before she had more than a few seconds to orient herself and figure out what was going on, someone's boot connected with her side. She screamed, rolling away and struggling to get to her knees.
