"Sorry for intruding your privacy",Vic said in a low tone,"the host has an important announcement to make,it's prudent for both of you to be there,"Vic added and she left.
A moment of silence and tension that could be cut with a knife filled the room,we were both stuck.
"You have to admit that he's quite handsome,and his scent,one to die for",my intuition kept on bringing this up but I tried as hard to ignore,I tried to run from the fact,I liked him,he was surely my ideal guy to date but all odds showed the opposite
Adam cleared his throat meeting my gaze before addressing me
"now if would excuse me,I have an important appointment my with my dad, I'll see you soon"he said to me giving a small smile on me.
"my God!!",I kept on thinking,his smile melted my heart.
He left the room and his cologne still could be felt within the walls of room.
"what happened to your face Andrew,"Tracy could be seen reprimanding Andrew from the scratch I had instilled on his face,he deserved it.
"it's nothing mum,don't worry about me,I'll be okay I'm a man",he sobbed turning the wound away from Tracy , turning his eyes towards my direction and giving me a disgusted face .
"could you give us some privacy please",Andrew commanded Catherine who had just entered and was about to wipe the blood that was oozing profusely from her bosses face.
Andrew kept on giving me a weird look , he was just like an angry beast who longed to catch the prey that he was hunting and tore it into pieces.
"are you sure you are okay,what happened to your face,"Tracy insisted and he had no choice but to respond.
"i was playing with the dog and it's scratched me,but next time it scratches me,I will punish her ruthlessly",he said staring at Jenny, trembling in anger.She could sense the extreme anger in his voice
"Ladies and gentlemen (with a voice filled with gratitude), esteemed guests, thank you for joining us tonight,we gather here not only to celebrate the prosperity that has been bestowed upon us but also to share our good fortune with those who are less fortunate."
The room falls into silence captured by Scott's words,he continues
"I have always believed that true wealth lies not only in the accumulation of riches but In the ability to positively impact the lives of others .And tonight I am proud to introduce my remarkable sons ,Andrew and Adam,they both step forward)who share the same vision of commitment to making the world a better place.
These two young men have grown up witnessing the importance of giving back .They have been involved in various philanthropic dedicating their energy,time and resources to uplift those in need
Applause fills the room acknowledging the son's efforts
Tonight ,as they embark on their own journey,they will be leading our newly established Scott's foundation,a venture aimed at creating sustainable solutions for global challenges,With a focus on education, healthcare and environmental conservation.
Adam and Andrew exchange proud smiles, understanding the responsibility they are about to shoulder.
In the spirit of this momentous occasion,I invite you all to join me in raising a toast for my sons Adam and Andrew as they carry forward our legacy of compassion and strive to create a world where every one has the opportunity to thrive.
The room erupts into applause and cheer as guests raise their glasses , toasting to the Anderson family and their noble mission.

"Can I have a talk with you both for a few minutes if you don't",Scott whispered to both Adam and Andrew
They nod simultaneously as the follow him to the dining room, entertainment continues at the hall.
"I'm just hoping that you won't be leaving any time soon,you have alot of work to undertake now",Scott scoffs as he talks to Adam who has been overseas in pursuit of education.
"Our companies have been making progress each year,all credit to Andrew,and with you joining the team,I know we shall conquer more and run the global economy.Our family legacy is vested on both of you,I expect you to consult and learn from each other ",Scott says enthusiastically
"Yeah sure,he has alot to learn from me,he has to know to handle women.That was cowardice of you",Adam sobs angrily as faces Andrew in disgusted look .
"How dare talk to me like that,I'm your elder brother show some respect,"Andrew replies with a scold on his face.
"what is happening between you two,I thought I trained you well,I'm so disappointed in you two.Love is just a word,you two should only focus on our legacy as a family and the prosperity of our companies the rest is crap.Can you apologize to your brother ",Scott angry voice could be heard groaning all over the room
"And you Adam,how many times do I have to keep on reminding you that our family has standards,you just don't get betrothed to any other girl you come across,you are a disgrace to the family.",Scott scolded Adam in a cold tone.
It was at this moment,he learnt that he has feelings for me and that he was willing to defend me openly.
"you have to stop seeing her,she is a peasant,there are alot more women with class, powerful and from honoured families that have the privilege to marry,"Scott added
"i'm so fed up with you controlling us Dad,and thank you for everything you have offered me ,I'll live to remember you,but you're not allowed to meddle around with my private life Dad",Adam stood and slammed the door and without wasting any second,he rushed to his room,packed all his belongings ready to live not until Tracy who was hearing the whole argument approached him .
"your dad can be alot to handle sometimes,I fully understand you,that was quite an embarrassment.i wouldn't just sit and watch him soil and downgrade me either ,look for a place to forgive your father,he is just hot tempered",Tracy begged Adam to stay in an emotional voice
"alright mum,but I guarantee you, Andrew has to pay for this,he started it"
