Chapter 28When Charlie got out of the car in her driveway, a feeling of dread rolled through her. As always, Nolan's house was right next-door; she couldn't miss it.
"Are you okay, Charlie?" asked Gloria from the driver's side window.
Charlie snapped her eyes away from Nolan's house. "Absolutely." She even managed a smile for Gloria's benefit.
Gloria looked doubtful. "Okay then. I guess we'll see you tomorrow night."
"Except you won't know we're from Nil anymore!" said Sutra from the passenger side. "You won't know anything about Nil anymore!"
Charlie nodded. "Got it." How could she forget the rules of her undercover assignment, the very thing she was dreading? The next time she saw anyone related to Nil, she'd have to pretend she'd never heard of the group before.
