Chapter Four

1383 Words
“I’m sorry that you had to go through something as traumatic as this Rose,” Lisa said to her giving her a bunch of flowers and kissing the top of her head. “Your father has been one of the greatest influences in Harry’s life, he really couldn’t bear coming down because he’s yet to recover from the pain. Harry says I should tell you, that when you’re ready, you know how to contact him. He’s ready to give his support to you for your revenge.” Lisa said but Rose kept quiet although. She was physically present, but her emotions were turned off. The numb feeling consumed her, and spend most of her time zoned out. People came around to grieve, vampires, werewolves, humans, but she didn’t get moved. She didn’t cry, she didn’t scream, she said nothing. She grew distant from her brothers, and her grandmother. Everyday, she stared at the picture of her parents on the wall in front of her, and the undying hatred she felt for the Reeds increased as the days went by. She grew older, and wiser and stronger. She trained every single day of her life, spend her time alone in the wilderness, and locked up in her room with headphones twenty four seven. Once she turned eighteen, Jack introduced her into the family business. She hadn’t heard from the Reeds and she was okay with it, it gave her time to take over and buy off millions of their assets, that Jack half of the time was unaware off. Jack had taken full responsibility of his siblings and resumed his role as the alpha werewolf as soon as his father died. Seeing Rose locked up every single day hurt him to the core, she hardly smiled, hardly talked unless it was business related. It had been a long time he had gotten any sort of reaction from Rose. But when news of the Reeds returning back to town reached her, she spoke, she expressed emotions he had been dying to see. He was grateful as well as angry that the enemies had returned . ~~~~~ “What do you plan to do Rose?” Jack asked her. “Something that will stir up a little bit of loss for the Reeds.” “What plan do you have?” “Oh, don’t worry brother, just sit back and stay tuned to the news channel. I’ve got business to handle, it’s time to get even.” She said running out of the house into her car. She dialed the unknown number in her phone, “Is everything getting set in position, old friend?” “One hundred percent babe! They won’t know what hit them. I’ll catch up with you when we’re done from here.” “I’m driving off to the site to see things for myself.” She said as she drove out of their estate, driving off in speed with a wide smile on her face that couldn’t be contained. She sat in her car outside the building, where people were trooping in and out, she had her shades on and hood over her head, parking in a way no one would notice. She could see Storm outside the warehouse talking to some of the workers. Her phone rang, interrupting her, she answered immediately, “Are you ready for this Rose?“ “I was born ready.” She said. “In three,” the caller on the other end of the phone started a countdown. “Two,” she called out, Rose could feel her heart pounding so loud she could hear it in her ears. “One… BOOM!!” She watched as the building exploded startling her at first. “Yesss!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!” She heard the girl scream on the other end. Rose watched the facial expression of Storm as he looked horrified. She felt so much satisfaction and power in that moment. “We’ll see you at your house Rose.” “My brothers will be thrilled,” she said as she hung up on the phone. She watched Storm rush in to the burning building trying to help the people out. With that she drove off with a triumphant smile plastered across her face. “Let the games begin Storm Reed. This is only the beginning of your downfall.” Getting home she joyfully ran into the house, “Have you guys heard the news?” She screamed. “Jack! Stephan! Grandmother! Have you all heard the breaking news? It’s totally heartbreaking!” She waited until everyone gathered into the smallest living room downstairs before turning on the television, “What are you going on about Rose?” Jack asked. “What important news is it that you had to wake me up from my beauty sleep?” Stephan asked yawning, “Sssshhhh!!!” She said as she sat in one of the sofas smiling, waiting for the breaking news to come up. “Mission accomplished!” Her friends Tori and Daniel came giving Rose a victorious high five. “Okay, someone should tell me what’s going on this minute,” “Ssshhh, it’s about to start,” Rose said shushing Jack. We bring you this breaking news of the Reeds as their major oiling company has been blasted off, burning down to complete ashes, nothing remaining. “Rose? Did you have something to do with this?” Jack asked looking at her. “Quiet, you’re ruining the moment,” They said that it was caused by a major oil leakage, but the fact remains that this will cause a major loss to the Reeds as this was one of their major companies, they have possibly lost all clients here to their rivals, the Blanc family run by the children of Elizabeth and Julian Blanc. We’ll bring in more information when we get a hold of it. Now, for the sports news, Rose turned the television off turning to her brothers and grandmother with a huge smile on her face. “Give it… three,” she held her fingers up counting down, “two… one!” The phones of Jack and Stephan began to ring non-stop and also the landline of the house. “We’re back in business baby! Say hello to our old and new clients, you’re welcome!” Jack couldn’t believe it. The first time he saw Rose laughing so hard, that her ribs hurt. “I’m so confused. How did all of these happen?” “So, I got a little help of course from my friends. We got an insider who worked at the Reeds warehouse, and had him tweak a little something here and there. My calculations were right, losing customers will bring them directly to us.” “Rose, how could you do such a thing without telling me? Or Stefan?!” “We all run the businesses together, don’t we? I don’t see what the big deal is, we’ve gained a lot of customers, both old and new and they’re on a major loss, so what exactly is the problem?” “The problem is you here Rose, not them. You’re supposed to come up with a strategy to bring in new customers and keep them!” “What exactly have I done wrong? Have we not gained the customers?” “At the expense of peoples lives?” “As long as I’m concerned, they will suffer every single day of their lives, and anyone working for them, related to them will suffer as well. They will keep experiencing losses and I’ll make sure of it. You can stay here and enjoy your little pity party. Of course I’m the only one who’s motivated to get revenge for the death of our parents.” She said in anger storming out of the living room. “You’re not saying anything granny?” “Rose is still grieving the loss of her parents; and she’s still hurt from it. It’s only fair that she feels revenge is the answer. Instead of coming off at her, why not take it slow? And if you ask me, I think this was the best way anyone would go about it. I’m in full support of my granddaughter and you should be too.”
