She sat nervously her fingers twitching.
“Are you okay, Autumn? If it’s too much pressure.”
“No, I’m fine.”
“So, I take it these two particular friends were found together?0
“Yeah Downey and Joanne. They were really close they done everything together even after everything that had happened. She told me that they were going all of the way. She asked me what I thought. I told her if she was sure and of she loved him. She assured me that she was absolutely sure so I told her to go for it, he was a nice guy.”
“One you could trust?”
“I guess, they’d been together for a while. She was staying over his house, I’m not sure what exactly happened just the cops found them in an uncompromising position. The cops reckoned they got waisted, but Jo want like that.’
“Maybe she wanted to try something new.”
“She wouldn’t she was totally against drugs.”
“Depends on how easily you fall.”
“I guess.” She breathed heavily continuing. “Anyway the cops reckoned they took a trip that had gone wrong one of the cops made a joke of them doing an all nighter. “Must’ve been good!!” They joked. None of us found it funny as the naked teenage dead bodies came out of the house. They said that their hearts had burst they done tests, but with no traces of drugs in their systems they classed it as suicide seen as two healthy teenager having a heart attack at the same time was suspicious. They reckoned they chose to end it cause they couldn’t live with out the other.”
“Some guesswork.”
“I don’t think that the cops knew what exactly happened so they guessed because they couldn’t come up with any other explanation to How their hearts had exploded. With no traces of drugs it was wrist off as another suicide”
He placed his hands on hers. “We’ll take a break okay.”
She cut a short, but brief smile.
He pulled himself up making them a coffee. He placed them down. “Thought you might need one.”
“Thanks.”
“You okay with this? Anytime that you need a breather tell me okay.”
“Okay.”
He sat down looking at her. “I know this is hard for you and everyone seems to be in the way of you getting on with it, but we’re here to help.”
“I know.”
“Just take your time okay. Things take time I’m always here if you need to talk okay?”
“Okay.”
They picked up their coffees drinking in silence, placing the empty cups down. The bell rang.
“I best go Matt.”
“Pity we haven’t got longer.”
Autumn pulled herself walking across the room. “Autumn.”
“Yeah.” She said turning.
His eyes inches away from hers, his lips touching hers, kissing her.
