*Flashback*Six years ago Phone ringing. Looking at the time on her wristwatch, it was still early in the morning. Maya cursed as she reached for her phone, wondering who could be calling this early on a Saturday. She answered without looking at the phone screen with her eyes still closed. " mmmmh," Maya said, yawning and stretching herself " Hey girl, are you still sleeping?" Lisa said, busy playing with her nails Lisa was Maya's friend, the only friend Maya had, which made them best friends, knew everything about each other. Practically, they were sisters " Yeah, why are you not still in bed?" Maya asked " aaaah cause it's past 9a.m and we have an appointment to meet at the mall remember, and I'm already here" Lisa said irritated thinking Maya was on her case about going out today yet she is still in bed, and she had to wake up so early on a Saturday for her. " Oooh s**t sorry girl, I had a late night studying for that Monday exam. Give me an hour top, and I will be with you," Maya said, trying to wake up and getting out of bed "ooh my god, please hurry. I'm bored to death here," Lisa said "Chill, I'm on my way," Maya said Maya hanged up the call and drew the blankets over, thinking to do the bed later on since she was in a hurry. Now what am I going to wear, thinking Maya. It was a summer season, so she settled for torn skinny jeans with a white tank vest, and white sneakers tied her hair in a messy bun and did no makeup. Besides, Maya was one lady who never liked makeup and paid no attention to her beauty, and makeup or not, she was one beautiful lady even though she never realized it. Looking at the mirror satisfied with her look, she took her phone and purse and went outside where the Uber she requested was waiting for her. " Hey," Maya greeted the Uber driver " Dubai Mall?" Uber driver said " That's the plan," Maya said The drive to Northside Mall was quiet. She reached her destination and called Lisa to find her where abouts. " Girl, I'm here. Where are you?"Maya said "Finally, food court," Lisa said Maya reached the food court and found Lisa sitting down while waiting. " Can we eat first, I haven't had my breakfast, and I'm starving," Lisa said "Sure," Maya smiled at her response They ordered food, making small talk while waiting for food. "So I was with Leonard 'Leo'. The other day, he invited me or should say us for lunch next Saturday," Lisa said while busy scrolling through her phone. She knew Maya had a crush on Leo's cousin Thomas 'Tom' but also knew how reserved Maya was, and sometimes she had to drag her to events because she was not good with crowds. " Mmmmmh, but you said he invited you. Why now it's should I say us?" Maya said, making an annoying face " Come on, you know you want to go because you are hoping certain someone will be there," Lisa said " Who is certain someone? " Maya said, smiling with a question look and blushing " You know excatly who I'm talking about, so we are going right cause you owe me for making me wait for you, for aahhhh 2 hours while you were bugging me about going out today yet you were late" Lisa said. The waiter arrived with their order. " Mmmmmh I been craving cheese burgers and fries and milkshakes for a month now. god, I'm going to enjoy this food," Maya said, trying to change the topic about the next Saturday outing. " b***h you can try to change the topic all you want we are going to that lunch, and you are going to talk to him and stop bothering me about 'oh my god Lisa look at him, he doesn't even notice me cause he is way out of my league and he is always surrounded by beautiful girls '. She was intimating Maya voice when she said that with her hands on her cheeks. "So next Saturday there won't be any girls around him and finally you can say those words to him," Lisa said while stuffing her mouth with fries " aaaah, if you never noticed, he does has a girlfriend," Maya said " aaaah, if you haven't noticed, they never stick around," Lisa said " So you want your girl to be one of his conquest?" Maya said with a questionable look " aaaah, well, it's time for Maya to get her groove on and have fun. we are still young Maya, and now it's time for us to experiment with life before we get old. Then we can start thinking about settling down if ever that happens, " Lisa said, throwing her hands in the air and giggling Maya kept quiet for a few minutes, thinking it won't make sense to argue with her best friend, especially on this matter. " Fine, there is no point of arguing with you. can we eat and do our shopping? " Maya said They ate their food and went to do their shopping and bought what's needed and went their separate ways after. ******* Phone ringing " Hey Leo," Lisa answered her call " Hey," Leo said with his muscular voice " What's up?, ooh wait, you want to know about the lunch invitation?" Lisa said, busy unpacking her shopping bag " Yep, what you up to though, I can hear some rumbling sounds," Leo said " Oooh, I went shopping with Maya, so I'm unpacking my shopping bag," Lisa said " Oooh cool, so will she be joining you for the lunch invitation?" Leo asked with some excitement. What Lisa didn't know was Leo had a crush on Maya. " Yep, we will see you next Saturday. Is your cousin going to be there?" Lisa said " Don't see why he won't be there," Leo said. Finally, I will be able to conquer her and make her mine, thought Leo. " Cool, I'm guessing we'll see you guys then," Lisa said " Sure thing. enjoy your new lingerie, " Leo said, chuckling " Shut up asshole bye love " Lisa said. Lisa hung up. She was very close to the Donald brother's but more closer to Leo she just saw Tom is an uptight person with a very high ego that was just too much,and never saw them as her fling thing not that they were not attractive enough cause they were wealthy, handsome and every women's dream. They were all from different countries, Maya and Lisa came from the same country and Leo and Tom were from another country. They just came here to Dubai to further their studies, plus she already saw them as her brothers, so she just put that wall in between. Where else Maya was not even close to any of the Donald brother's only saw them at college, never even said one word to either of them, not even a hello. *****
