Isaac’s POV

It took all my strength to leave my mate in front of her hotel like that, my wolf fought me the entire time. I wanted to follow her to her room to make sure she was safe and to sleep with her in my arms.

On the walk back to my packhouse, I had to stop and clutch my chest. I could feel her pain, her heart was breaking. When you meet your mate, you’re in touch with the other’s feelings. It will be much more intense once we mate and I mark her. I’m surprised how intense it is right now, usually when one is human, the connection isn’t as strong as when it’s two wolves.

I couldn’t take it anymore, I had to go comfort Mila, I knew she was hurting because I left her, she missed me.

I ran back towards her hotel, I walked in the lobby and no one was attending the front desk. I frantically ran the bell until a middle aged man walked out of some maintenance closet. His hair disheveled, his face was red and he reeked of s*x.

“Hello, i’m wondering what floor Mila uh..Mila is on.” I realized I didn’t know her last name yet. The man whose name tag read Frank looked at me and frowned.

“I’m sorry Sir, i’m not at liberty to divulge that type of information.” Frank answered rudely. I slammed my fists on the counter in anger and started to argue with him. He wasn’t giving in. At that moment, a cute young maid got out of the maintenance closet, she had that post-s*x glow on her. I looked at his hand and he was wearing a wedding band, I glanced to the maid again and she wasn’t wearing a ring. I grinned.

“I mean no harm to Mila, I promise. But if you don’t tell me right now what floor her room is, I WILL inform your boss about you leaving the front desk unattended to have s*x in the closet with a maid AND I will find out who your wife is and inform her as well. Tell me what I want to know and i’ll forget the whole thing ever happened.” I said to him calmly. His mouth dropped open in complete shock, his eyes grew twice the size and his face was paling quickly.

“I-I..uh..No..I-I..” He mumbled incoherently as I glared at him. He quickly typed something in his computer.

“She’s in room 412. Please..don’t hurt her.” He said in defeat.

“I would never hurt her.” I said nodding to him.

I ran to the elevators on the other side of the building but the doors shut right before I could get to them. I darted to the stairs and ran to the fourth floor. As I reached the door, I froze. I could hear my little mate’s voice.. I opened the door slightly and noticed that she had opened the door and was talking to some guy. I watched their interaction quietly, he better not even think about hurting her, I would kill him slowly. I was plotting all the different ways I could kill this red haired douchebag. I could cut him all over his body and throw him in the ocean as shark food or plunge my claws in his chest and rip out his beating heart..

She let him in. She f*****g let him in her room! I put my hands over my mouth to try to muffle the growl that escaped my lips. I punched the brick wall and a couple bricks tumbled on the ground, my bloody knuckles were already healing.

That’s when I realized that he must be the ‘boyfriend’. Ha! That’s my competition? This would be easy.

I wasn’t pleased at all that he was in her hotel room with her but what could I do? She was technically his..for now.

I stealthily walked up to her door and pressed my ear on it. I could hear him breathing loudly, he was already asleep. Pfft what an i***t. As if I could lay next to Mila and fall asleep without touching or tasting her.

I stayed outside her room for another hour, I could feel her emotions, her mind was racing, her feelings for me confused her. I wanted to comfort her soo bad.

Then I could sense a different emotion..she was slightly aroused. I pressed my ear harder on the door, the redhead was still sleeping. I dug through the emotions that she was unknowingly sharing with me, I fought hard to connect my mind to hers, then I could see what she was thinking..me! She was fantasizing about me! My presence in her mind calmed her, I used all the strength I could muster to send her calming waves through our mate bond. It worked! It soothed her into a deep sleep.

My wolf perked up in my mind, we were both so happy that we could calm our beautiful mate, we did much more through a hotel room door than whatever that i***t could do laying right next to her. Ugh! It still infuriated us that he was so close to our mate, way too close.

Wolves are extremely protective of their mates, no one dares touch or even look at another wolf’s mate. Especially an Alpha wolf’s mate, we are much more possessive than the others. The fact that my mate is human and has a human boyfriend is nearly killing me.

I walked back to my packhouse and tried to think of ways to make her fall in love with me, I needed to find a way to spend the day with her tomorrow.

I walked into my bedroom and fell into my bed..I couldn’t wait to have her in my bed with me and hold her all night. The thought of her naked body laying in my bed made my d**k spring up so fast, I had to rub myself to take the edge off.

I imagined what her breasts would look like..I could already tell that they were the perfect size for my hands. I woke up early the next morning and got ready for the day. I was too antsy about being away from my mate, I would have to figure out a way to see her today. I thought of the perfect person to make it happen.

“Devin..I need your help.” I told him through mindlink.

“What’s up, Alpha?” Devin asked.

“I need to know what Mila’s plans are today.” I said in an authoritative tone.

“She was going to tour the campus today.” He replied.

I could make this work in my favour.

“Let me know what time she wakes up and what time you’re starting the tour, i’ll be showing you guys around campus.” I said.

“Sure thing. Oh and thanks for the blonde last night! She wouldn’t take no for an answer, she insisted on following me to my room to..make sure I wouldn’t be lonely.” Devin replied, I couldn’t see him but I could tell that he had that smug grin on his face. He won’t grin when he realizes how clingy Ava is, I laughed to myself.

Alright that was taken care of..now that boyfriend of hers needed to be entertained for tonight. I want to spend the evening with her as well.

“Liam, I need you to entertain Mila’s boyfriend tonight.” I mindlinked Liam.

“No problem. I’m entertaining his sister right now!” Liam replied.

“What?” I asked confused.

“Annie, Mila’s friend, she’s Tyler sister.” Well this all got confusing. So his name was Tyler, I will probably forget that in an hour. I don’t give two f***s about him.

“Anyways, figure out a way to keep him out my my way tonight. Annie too.” I told him.

I made my way to the kitchen for breakfast when I felt a blinding pain in my stomach. I knew it had something to do with Mila, I pushed my mind to connect to hers, what was happening?! F**k!! HE WAS TOUCHING HER!

My heart couldn’t stand this for one more second. I let out a blood piercing growl that shook the entire house.

“LIAM! GET ANNIE BACK TO THE HOTEL ROOM NOW!! MAKE SURE SHE GOES INTO MILA’S ROOM.” I shouted through mindlink.

“Yes, right away Alpha! What’s going on?” Liam asked, concerned.

“SOMEONE IS TOUCHING WHAT IS MINE!!” I yelled. Growling once more. Many wolves had rushed downstairs to see what was wrong, I glared at everyone and waved my hand to make them leave.

The pain was unbearable, but I knew they weren’t having s*x yet, the pain would be much worse. I rubbed my forehead, I could see images of myself naked. What the f**k?!

Then it dawned on me, Mila was imagining me naked. She was fantasizing about ME while he was touching her! This made me feel somewhat better. I grinned to myself. Suddenly, the pain stopped. Annie must have finally interrupted them, thank god!

I carried on to make myself breakfast. My smile grew from ear to ear, thinking that I would see my mate in a short while.
