Kaira couldn’t get to sleep. She wasn’t surprised, she hadn’t felt tired but she’d made the effort anyway. She wanted to keep her sleep patterns in sync with Tarkus’s if she could. That way she could at least talk with him some of the time. But she definitely wasn’t going to get to sleep right then.
She considered having a bath, but she really couldn’t be bothered, and the thought of laying in the water just made her fidget. She sat down at the table, started up the console… and found it was still just as limited as before.
She did have the datapad now, but Tarkus had made it clear it only had the same access as the terminal. She sat there thinking for a while, wondering what to do. Then she smiled. Tarkus hadn’t told her not to explore the ship, had he? And surely anywhere
