When the Glimmer finally broke through to normal space it was lurching to the left and spinning slightly. Tarkus’s hands were flying over the controls to stabilise the jump engines at the same time as he wrestled with bringing the ship under control. Kaira sat gritting her teeth, forcing herself not to interfere when there was nothing she could do. She counted at least a dozen flashing red warnings just on the screen she could see, and despite Tarkus’s efforts the number didn’t seem to be reducing. The next five minutes were full of cursing and frantic manipulation of the controls. All by Tarkus, of course.
