CHAPTER 10

THE MISSION.

~CAROLINE'S HOUSE

crystal got to the house as she entered her room, aunt Caroline wasn't around as she left a note saying she had gone out to the market.

She falls to the bed as she exhaled when she sat up, tears had assembled in her eyes as she thought of abeo, it was all her fault he was in a terrible situation.

She had to do everything within her power to save him, hopefully his friends had agreed to what she said on going on a mission to save him. Now it was time to set a plan.

She heard a shatter in one of the rooms as he stood up in fright, she goes to check who it was as she saw a lady standing in front of a broken glass.

"Mimi!!! .....what the hell are you doing here?"she asked

"As far as I know I haven't been restricted to come see my sister, who is apparently sad she lost her boyfriend"she said.

"And all this is your fault Mimi, why are you so evil and selfish if we hadn't gone after those fishermen this wouldn't have happened,abeo would still be alive" crystal snapped

"Do not speak to me that way you hear me, I saved your ass back there didn't I?"Mimi counted.

"No I saved yours, everything would have been under control if you hadn't cast a spell on the fishermen.....you killed them Mimi and you almost killed abeo too"crystal yelled.

"Oh I see where this is going now, it's about your boyfriend isn't?......I heard he has been captured and would be killed, this is to show you how cruel humans are even to their kind. They all don't deserve to live "Mimi said as she chuckled.

"You have no right to condemn anybody whether they are to live or not you're not their creator"crystal said.

"You have my word..... you in love with that human boy will never last "Mimi said as she smirked.

"Get out......."crystal ordered.

"This house is for aunt so you don't have any right to order anyone much less me around but regardless of that I'll leave, but we will meet again "Mimi said as she dives into the water that leads to the sea.

Crystal left in frustration and annoyance.

Abeo is seated on the ground locked in a cage as images of crystal in a mermaid form flashes through his head, he also recalled the good times he had spent with her and how sweet it was.

He had a drop of tears in his cheeks as he cleared it with his palm when he started hearing strange noises coming from the other side.

He stood up as he looked closely where the noise was coming from,he was shocked afterwards as he saw a creature coming close to him.

"Oh my God, this is the same thing that killed Philip"he said frighteningly.

The creature groans as he continues to move closer to abeo's cage.

Crystal is lying on the bed as she recalls her finally conclusion with mark,adebayo and Gladys.

They all agreed to save abeo the next day as a plan had been structured and analysed.

"Make it work........ you'll be fine abeo" she said as she sigh and goes to bath.

I was staring frighteningly at the creature as it continues to draw near me, I moved away slowly as i hit my back on the cage. There wasn't a place to run as i sat down trembling with my eyes closed.

A loud chant and a lash brought me back to reality as I looked around and discovered it was my imaginations getting the best out of me, it was one of the guards who had brought me dinner.

"Collect this and eat quickly"he ordered.

"I'm not hungry"I uttered tossing my face aside.

"You wouldn't want to stay hungry I bet, the food is right here in case you change your mind. Claiming tough doesn't suit you"he said as he tossed the food towards me and walked out.

The aroma of the meal made me salivate as I couldn't resist to myself from quenching my hunger. I got the food immediately as I consumed it quickly.

~THE NEXT DAY.

Crystal is waiting for the other guys as it was time, they were all in uniforms as they planned to skip class to save abeo.

They were all assembled in no time as they planned.

"So guys we will strictly follow the rules and I know we would achieve our aim which is to save abeo, any thing any one has to say?"she asked.

"For abeo!!!!"they all chorused as they left.

Irrespective of the fear in their hearts they still strived to conquer, they don't have the slightest idea what journey they were about to embark on.
