Abandoned dream

It was the graduation day and everyone was excited for the last day at their high school. They were dressed in their best attire and everyone was determined to look good and mark their special day. Sienna has been selected as the valedictorian and she was stepping up on the stage her school has prepared to deliver her final speech before she closes the chapter of high school in her life. She was beautiful, her wavy brown hair till her waist with her bright twinkling eyes that she got from her mother and her smile that would melt everyone and was extremely contagious. She was dressed in a pink dress that perfectly matched her skin tone and the diamond earrings passed down from her mother gave her the entire glow she needed. Sienna was not only beautiful but an all rounder student. She had the perfect grades and was a perfect cheerleader and excelled in extracurricular as well. No wonder she would become the valedictorian and every teacher was proudly saying how she wil definitely get into and Ivy League which was her dream as well. “You look just like your mother.” Her dad commented who was ready from being proud of his talented daughter and was also reminded of the love of his life. “Thanks dad, I love you.” “If your mother was here she would have been so proud.” “I know right Mr.Pritchett,” her principal said who was walking towards them. “And she will definitely get into Harvard.” “I know she can but I wonder if this poor father can afford her or not.” “Don’t worry dad, there are many scholarships and I will get one and go to Harvard.” “Yes she is right, and we will help as much as we can to get into Harvard.” I did say there are many scholarships but I have already been rejected by three scholarships sites. Will I get a scholarship and go to Harvard or will my dreams end here.
