Chapter 10

We stood back-to-back, the odds heavily against us. Ten men surrounded us, their intentions clear. I could feel Chandria’s steady presence behind me, a reassuring anchor in the chaos. But there was one problem—we were both drunk.

"Gosh my head spinning, Zari" Chandria held his head "Wait! where did i put my birken?"

"Focus Chandria"

Chandria moved first, her motions less precise than usual but still effective. She grabbed the nearest attacker, using his momentum against him to throw him to the ground. The sound of his body hitting the pavement was oddly satisfying. I focused on the man lunging at me, ducking under his punch and striking upwards with my palm, connecting with his nose. He stumbled back, and I followed up with a knee to his stomach, taking him down.

A hand grabbed my wrist from behind, but I twisted my body, breaking free and delivering a sharp kick to my assailant's shin. He yelped in pain as I followed up with a punch to his jaw, sending him reeling. The fight was a blur of movements—duck, strike, kick, repeat.

Chandria was a force of nature, even in her inebriated state. Her strikes were powerful and precise, each one taking down an opponent. I matched her pace, my agility allowing me to evade attacks and counter with swift precision. Together, we moved like a well-oiled machine, our training and instincts guiding us through the fray.

"I'm gonna vomit, Chandria"

Despite the overwhelming odds, we fought with everything we had. Chandria's strength and my speed created a formidable defense. The men around us fell one by one, unable to withstand our combined prowess. The adrenaline coursed through my veins, sharpening my focus and driving my actions.

But just as we thought we had a moment to breathe, another wave of ten men emerged. Our exhaustion and impaired state started to take a toll. Our movements became slower, our strikes less effective. Chandria and I fought valiantly, but it was clear we couldn't hold out much longer.

Just as we were about to be overwhelmed, a roar erupted from behind the attackers. Raz, Klent, Zach, and Rad burst onto the scene, their presence a wave of relief washing over me. The girls were there too, their fierce determination adding to our numbers. Together, they fought off the remaining attackers with a coordinated and powerful assault.

With the reinforcements, the tide of the battle quickly turned. Raz’s strength, Zach’s precision, Klent’s agility, and Rad’s determination were unstoppable. The attackers fell one by one, unable to match the combined force of our group.

"Xianee, look after them!" Rad commanded

As the last attacker hit the ground, I collapsed to my knees, exhausted but grateful. Nihindi manlang pinagpawian silang lima. Hindi na nakalaban si Xianee dahil ms priniority niya kami ni Chandria.

"You both okay?" agad naman na dumalo saamin si Verena habang ang apat na lalaki ay walang tigil na binubugbog ang mga lalaki kahit mga nakasalampak na ito sa sahig.

"I already called, Dad. What's wrong with their security f*ck"

As I was about to stand up I felt somebody na hinawakan ang aking bewang para alalayan ako. When I look who it was I was so shocked to see Raziel holding me.

"What were you two thinking? huh?" Rad burst out, naiintindihan ko naman siya dahil muntikan na din talaga kaming mapahamak ni Chandria kung hindi lang sila dumating.

Klent was just looking at Chandria ganon din si Zach na mataimtim na nakatingin sakin pero hindi pa nagsaalita pero kita mong ang emosyon niyang may halong galit at pag aalala.

"Kuya, it's all my fault.. Sorry okay! i would take all the blame and all the responsibility. But please can we just make pahinga Omy gosh!" chandria shout out of frustration. I know na may problema siya kanina. Kaya nga niya naisipan na iinvite akong mag bar dahil sa unknown problem niya with some one.

"Rad.. calm down" pag awat pa ni Xianee kay Rad

"This is not the right time for that, mas mabuti pa let's head on to my condo nearby para macheck din dilang dalawa" Verena suggested "I also call my dad, to check the entire CCTV"

"Mas mabuti pa nga" Zach answered after a long period of silence "Pumunta na kayo, magpapaiwan nalang ako the police is on their way"

"Magpapaiwan din ako, Babe can you look for my sister" Xianee just nodded

"I''l come with the girls" Raz answered hindi ko na makita ang mga reaksiyon nila nag past out nalang ako bigla at ng magising ako ay nasa condo na kami n Verena. I also have band aids sa ma sugat ko. Maybe Xianee put this matapos gamutin ang mga sugat ko.

Bumangon ako sa kama to get something sa kusina. Verena's condo is huge, meron itong dalawang kwarto at malaking living room. I was looking for all of them it was already 5 am in the morning. I cannot find anyone sa may living room. Baka ang iba ay umuwi na or nasa kabilang kwarto lang, I didn't bother to check one of the rooms dahil baka makadistobo ako kung may natutulog man.

Dumiretso nalang ako sa kitchen to get a cold water dahil sobrang tuyo na ng lalamunan ko. Pag katapos ko ay lumbas na din ako sa kitchen dala dala ang water.

"Omy gosh!!" I shouted nagulat ako ng paglabas ko ay bumungad saakin si Raz nakatitig lang siya saakin. i also looked at him in the eyes nilalabanan ang mataimtim na pag titig niya. "you're here pa pala, where are they?"

"Umalis na" maikli nitong sagot

"You mean?"

"Oo.. tayo nalang dalawa naiwan dito" sabay sabi niya pansin ko ang pag iwas ng tingin nito " Zach and Rad still doing something.." I didn't bother to ask what is it dahil alam ko nanaman kung anong gagawin nila Rad I know na hindi nila ito papalampasin at hindi sila papayag na walang mapaparusahan sa nangyari.

"Uh-" hindi ko pa naatapos ang sasabihin ko ay agad na nagsalita sya

"Why are you guys there?" he asked calmly. Naguguat at naguguluhan pa ako sa nangyayari lalo na sa way ng pakikipag usap niya. Parang ingat na ingat siya sakin at ayaw niya akong masasaktan. My hopes.. tumataas nanaman Zari wag marupok

"Uh.. Chandria" I was about to say that she has a problem or that maybe heart broken but I remember that It is not my story to tell "we just decided to hang out, we didn't mean to cause any trouble"

"We are calling the both of you non stop!" He said the sudden rise of his voice make me flinch its not that high but nagulat lang ako because he was calm a while ago.

"Sorry.." he the apologized "I'll be more calmer, but can you please listen to me" We both looked at each others eyes

"Don't go anywhere without me.." Napatigil pa ako sa sinabi niya he then cough "what I mean is don't go a bar when we are not around even Zach basta.." I smiled at him the sudden thought in my mind gives me butterfly is he concerned to me

"f**k that guys!" he said habang dahan dahan lumapit saakin agad naman ako napaatras sa sorang gulat sa presensya niya. Dahan dahan niyang hinaplos ang bawat sugat na natamo ko, Hindi naman na masakit ang iba ngunit ang iba ay malalalim na sugat. He is counting all of them I looked at him confused.

"Why are you counting my wounds?" pigili ko sa mga kamay niya he just smirked at me at pinagpatuloy ang pagbibilang

"The one's that bleeding would cost 20 times" he then paused "20 isn't enough, make it 30"

Matapos niya bilangin ang mga sugat na natamo ko ay agad din naman niya akong hinatid sa mansion. Nagpahinga na ako sa aking kama and sleep, I was so shocked on the next day to see na sobrang daming tao sa bahay I also si Zach there and Raz. Agad agad akong bumaba ng hagdan they all looked at me.

"Anak.." agad agad na sumalubong saakin si mommy she was crying while hugging me "I'm sorry"

"Mom! please don't say that this is not you fault please" I console my mom. Pagdating saakin ay napaka soft hearted talaga ni mommy dahil para sakanya Iam forever be his baby.

"Ija!" tawag saakin ni daddy "Why you didn't tell me?" agad agad akong hinawakan ni daddy tiningnan niya ang mga sugat at bruises ko "did you see your doctor?" kitang kita ang pag aalala sa mga mata niya . My dad is also very careful when showing his emotions to me dahil sabi ni mommy ay grabe din daw magalit si daddy kaya hanggat maari ay ayaw niya itong ipakita saamin ni mommy.

"Zach told me th-"

"Daddy, It's not Chandria's fault, I voluntarily come with her to-"

"Of course, Ija it is surely not your fault. Alam ko na ang lahat sinabi na saakin ni Zachariah at Raziel na inabangan kayong dalawa ni Chandria outside the mall" nanlaki ang mata ko sa narinig agad kong tiningnan ang dalawa Zach just winked at me kahit si Raz ay nakatingin lang i owe them bigtime.

They were talking to a lot of people on the phone nadinig ko din na natrace na nila ang mga lalaking nakalaban namin kagabi. They are all part of one gang and Zach did everything para maipamukang nangugulo sila sa mall kung nasaan kami. I looked at Raz and said thank you as well. He just gave me a small smile.

Wala pa akong balita kay Chandria but I hope she's well. That is why i decided to text her.

Chandria

"How are you? Hope you are well. See you at school tomorrow!" I sent it to her

"I'm doing fine! Don't worry about me too much, see yah!"

I just smiled It was good to know that she was okay. I hope hindi sila magkaproblema ni Rad dahil alam kong galit na galit siya sa ginawa naming dalawa. i also decided to text Rad to apologized

Radoel

"Sorry about what happened, we caused so much trouble. Are you mad? Thank you guys for saving us. Hope all is well, especially with your twin I also take accountability. With what happens See you tomorrow!"

"Hey Zari, I'm not mad. It's just I care for the both of you so much. Please tell us everything from now on. We just wanted to protect you guys. Chandria and I will talk about this matter. See you!"
