The whole country felt a violently shake as if a large magnitude scale of earth quake was unleashed upon it and its inhabitants for a couple of moments. Then, slowly the shockwave faded as time went by before Nova once again hit by an unusual quietness. All residences, including the one at the base were toppled on the ground accompanied by moans and screams from across the place. Yet, miraculously not even a single building did collapsed nor showed any signs of crippled or disintegration.
Admiral Rudolph, after gaining composure immediately barked the orders for any damage and loss of the facility and the rest of the naval base to the nearby staffs. Other people on the banquet slowly got on their feet while looking on their surrounding, baffled on what had just happened.
Reports from the staffs afterward came to the admiral. They all stated that all systems and equipment are at full functionality and no damage taken from the impact of the shockwave. This left the admiral confused, then instructed that all the diplomats and regarding staffs to proceed towards each respective stay for the night to get some rest. An investigation was held to uncover the incident that took place just now. Admiral Rudolph went straight to his office and began dialing the numbers on his desk phone, contacting the headquarter.
Meanwhile, Trigger and Count helped bringing the injured to the medivac followed by Huxian and Avril. A while later they met at the gateway of the base heading to their quarters. Along the way, the party (except Trigger) talked about what happened back at the base.
"What the hell was even that? I really thought we were gonna say goodbye to the world!" Count stating his confusion.
"All of us have no idea as well, okay? I don't get it what's going on either," Huxian replied.
"Could it be the Kaiju are attacking us again?" Count asked once more, giving his opinion.
"Nah. The Hexagon should have inform us already the early warning for any Kaiju attack. Besides, it has been three years after the Kaiju War. The portal can not be possibly still open after the bombardment. our bombardment, Trigger if you still remember it!" Avril said. Trigger responded with just a nod. He was as well befuddled with things in hand now.
The party decided to leave the matter aside for tonight and get some good rest before tomorrow's briefing and explanation from the high command. The earth quake somehow managed to drain their energy to he state of extreme tiredness that them to dozed off good night slumber.
200 miles from the southern front,
Wrindel Harbour city, Kingdom of Saldona.
An old man in his sixties was sitting at a table with a crystal like orb swirling with green ,pink and orange smoke-like substances inside it. His hand was gesturing on top of it while chanting something unrecognizable by normal man's tongue. His closed eyes were then opened but shining blue, covering the pupils and eye white. He tumbled backward and fell on the floor with heavy breathing and sweats all over his body. The staff in his other hand was used to help him got back on his feet.
Through the 'observation', he saw a certain glimpse of something he had never seen before. Something so foreign, and seemingly out of this world. And it happened as marked to be on the Sea of no Man. The place said to be a definite watery grave for any sailor set sail on the dangerous territory as it was filled with sea monsters and mythical beasts roaming below the waves.
But why the Sea of no Man of all places? What other mysteries lies there that he, the grand mage of Saldona even not knowing exist? What is certain, the divination he saw must be informed to the king immediately. A course of action was to be decided as soon as possible!
"I must go and tell the king quick! With Vaneria kingdom declaring war to us this is rather worsening for our kingdom!!" He set off the Central Palace by a magic portal and vanished within a flaming red fire of a circle spell he casted upon himself.
As he arrived at the entrance hall into the castle the royal guards quickly alerted of his appearence with spears at hands. But retreated back once they recognized the figure heading towards them. It's none other than Grand Mage Yasol himself, rather seemed worried. He stated the purpose of his visit to the guards and was brought in the meet the king in his chamber. The king awoke hearing the knock on his door to see his grand mage standing in front of him with beads of sweats on his face. Clearly exhausted from the teleportation spell he used to get to the palace.
"By the deities! Lord Grand Mage!! What brings your presence here in the middle of the night in my palace??!! And what happened to you, as if being chased down by a ghoul?" King Saldona IV said, clearly surprised by the sudden visit.
The mage took his time to regain his breath before he was able to speak. Worrisome drawn on his face while he said.
"Your majesty, pardon for my insolent rush of the hour, but I wish to speak of some important matters with you that needs your attention," he explained.
The king exasperated. " What is it that you ought to talk about? Oh, excuse me! Please wait for me at my work place while I get ready, will you?"
"As you wish, my Lord," Yasol bowed to him and made his way to the reading chamber where the king would spend his free time with his books. There, a large compartment of books arranged from right to left filled his vision once the room was occupied with a figure's presence. Few moments later, King Saldona entered and offered mage Yasol a seat before sat on one himself, facing each other.
"So, could you explain the reason you want to meet me in the middle of the night?"
"Yes, my Lord. What I am about to say is something regarding the state of our kingdom, as of for now," Briefly the mage begun the chat.
"About this kingdom? What of it?" Interest started to pick in the young king.
The mage then told him everything he foresaw from the crystal orb. King Saldona's expression turned anxious and curious hearing these from the grand mage, as he never ever hid or lied to him not even once about his divination. Be it simple things to the kingdom's affair, all of it are very truth.
After the mage dine explaining, he and the king remained silent. He was inside his thoughts then siad his words towards the grand mage.
"Very well, then. I shall ordered for an expeditionary fleet and some representatives to sail towards the Sea of No Man to investigate this matter tomorrow. You will go along with the men tasked for this duty as observer and security protection, in case the monster attacking our fleet. Is it fine with you?"
"Your wish is my command, your Majesty. I shall pack my thing and wait for the sailors at the first light. Anything else, My Lord?"
"Yes, indeed. I will also send my cousin to accompany your journey as part of the representatives. I hope that you will take a good care of her for me in my absence of the cruise."
"You have my word, your Majesty. Now, if there's nothing else then I shall take my leave now. Again, pardon me for interrupting your slumber, my Lord." The mage bowed once again and departed away after the king gave silent nod.
He still sat there thinking about this mysterious entity with its sudden appearance out of nowhere and wondered what did destiny prepared for the future of the kingdom if anything happens were to be related with this entity.
