Umm okay. Great! She was now alone with her husband and surprisingly she felt the same comfort she did before. She breathed out, fixing her gaze at him.
He had become more attractive since she saw him last. "There is no such thing as declaring a breakup in marraige, Honey. There is only a divorce which we haven't applied for" he winked.
"So technically you are still my wife and we are still married, you know. How I've missed you." She looked at him in horror, comprehending his words. He had become more attractive no doubt, but also more stone hearted.
One look at her and he knew she wanted him still. She never could hide her desire and why should she? That's one of the things he liked most about her. He smiled wickedly before effortlessly pulling her closer. She was as light as a feather, still, he acknowledged. Her head bumped into his strong shoulders, making her groan softly.
She shut her eyes as the manly cologne hit her nose. He smelled absolutely ravishing.
No! This is insane. I hate him, I do. I don't like anything about him! Oh who am I kidding? He might as well know I still have feelings for him.
She abruptly jerked herself backwards, not wanting him to see her battle with herself for self control. He didn't waste any time in hauling her onto his lap.
She gasped when he placed his hands over her thighs, making her breathing go uneven. She tried best to move away but he held her waist as he pulled her back to him.
"Say the words and I'll let you go" he groaned when she fell back onto his lap. She knew if she quickly didn't get out of here she would soon give in. She couldn't wound her self respect. She would definitely give in to the desire to kiss him, to hold him close and..
Stop right there! I still hate the man remember. No bad thoughts!
She bit his cheek, taking him aback and slipped out of the car when he loosened his grip slightly. She hesitated but opened the door and reached for her laptop.
She got it. But he got her. His grip on her hands were killer ones. He slid out of the car in a moment, coming face to face with a shivering Honey.
He looked dangerous, almost menacing, making her wish she had gone home when she had the chance. The day couldn't get any worse!
"You walked out on me once, I'm not going to simply watch as you do it again. We need to talk. Can you manage coming home?" he spoke icily. He ushered her into his car, holding her hands and asked the driver to take them home. She nodded. Yes they need to talk!
The driver turned a blind eye to her and drove as ordered. She couldn't believe he was doing this to her.
Oh how badly she wanted to punch him. Yeah, they were going to talk, sure. She looked at him as though she was going to kill him. "Trust me Honey, the feeling is mutual."
She decided to ignore him. She pulled her hands free with superhuman effort. She wasn't going to just sit back and allow him to think he had the upper hand.
She moved as far away from him as possible. Tears brimmed her eyes but she held them back. She couldn't cry, she was anything but weak. She wouldn't show him the extent to which he affected her.
He gulped. She was trying hard not to cry and he didn't want to do anything to upset her.
She looked out of the window, hoping to distract herself. She took out her phone and it was snatched away by him.
"Nick!!" she almost screamed. "Can I have my phone back?" she asked in a cool tone. He looked at her acidly and simply said no. "Excuse me?!" she couldn't handle this anymore. He was crossing his limits, really.
He didn't bother replying to her. She tried to snatch it from him but he simply slipped it into his pocket.
"You want it, Honey?" he smiled playfully and she knew that look too well. "Then take it" he said. She looked at his pocket. She turned away, hoping he hadn't seen her cheeks go red.
He used to hide her keys in his pocket and she would try to get it. How he would tease her, she remembered. And intentionally...
"What are you thinking?" he asked, bringing her back to this world. She saw him smirking and rose a brow. She wasn't going to give anything away.
She looked at him after a couple of minutes when her phone rang, almost doing a happy dance.
Now he has to give it to me! Poor someone. Ha! That's it baby!!
She chuckled in her head. He seemed to be least bothered. She stared at him and he didn't even bother looking at her.
"Can I have my phone? It's ringing" she said, loud enough to make him look at her. "Take it" he said in a deep voice, making her gulp.
If he's trying to seduce me its totally working! But I'm not going to admit that, am I?
She snickered in fake distaste, breathing heavily before reaching his pocket. She maintained a calm outlook but on the inside she was waiting to kick him.
His lips curved at the sides looking at her hands shivering. She still looks amusingly beautiful when she is nervous. He sighed softly.
"Be quick darling. The phone isn't going to ring forever, is it?"She closed her eyes and reached his pocket. Oh.. And she got her phone.
She pulled it out. She had just answered the phone when he pulled her onto his lap and she gasped.
"Hello" said Emily, her bestfriend and her roommate. "H..hello"she said stammering. He smiled at her. She would never stammer unless he was around and stirred her.
She tried to get up when he held her waist and pulled her back. "I don't think so" she was saying. "Not tonight.. I mean not today" she said looking at his mischevious eyes widen when she said 'tonight'.
"I actually..." she started and sat up straight when he brought his lip in contact with her neck. She shuddered.
"Umm.. Yeah. I am fine. Yes. I've just met up with an old friend who is bent up on having me spend time with him.. I mean her. I'll be back tomorrow.. Good night.. What..no!!! It's a girl!" she ended the conversation.
He couldn't stop laughing. She pushed him and moved away. "Hey! What were you thinking? If you still think you affect me, then you're wrong. Your touches don't affect me I tell you" she tried not to smile.
His eyes held challenge. His hands rested on her thighs, he slowly moved them higher, making her shiver.
He smirked, trying to fiddle with her shirt. She looked neutral, "see, nothing" she said.
He shrugged, "Alright. You win." He moved away and looked out of the window. Wow, that was so not what she was expecting. She frowned at him. "Alright you win" she mimicked him and turned to stare out the window herself when she heard him laugh.
