CHAPTER 11-ANOTHER CASE

One of the constables has died in the middle of the fight, in that madman's hand. Afterward, the constable knew they wouldn't be able to defeat this madman. Then, some of the constables give Haruto a sign that they are going to attack him together by holding him, and Haruto must strike him as hard as he can. In short, they succeeded in holding him to limit his movements. Haruto quickly jumps in the midair and strikes one of the sword techniques of Kaizan’Gosei-ryū, “Hiryū-Kaizan/Fēiliú-Kuàizhǎn (FlyingStream-QuickSlash)” on the madman's head. Then slowly the madman fell down to the ground with his forehead bleeding. The constable finally took down the madman, and now they can rest before they take his body out. However, just resting a moment, suddenly the madman woke up and grabbed Haruto's neck, which caused Haruto to fly backward and hit the wall. The madman's hand still holds on his neck. He knew he must do something before he ran out of breath or his neck would be broken. He quickly slashed the madman's hand with his sword. Surely, the madman's hand severed right away. Then a few of his constable fellows appeared and stabbed the madman from behind with their swords. When it happens all of a sudden, Haruto spontaneously blasts the madman's neck with his sword. With that strike, the madman's head fell down from his neck. Finally, the case is over. On the other hand, the Taoist priest followers get arrested later, one by one, even though some still managed to escape. Those children who are still alive have also been returned to their families. At least this case is over, and the constable side can rest at ease for a while. After the investigation, they wrote the report and sent it to the king for the conclusion. It appears that the advisor wasn't experimenting with the longevity pill for the king; he created an evil pill that could increase his own power and inner qi-energy. However, since the pill wasn't perfect, it still has a side effect on the person who consumes it. It was a big blow for the king as he realized he had been fooled. This case took the constable about 1.5 months to solve. The Taoist temple became abandoned and wrecked by the citizens as they were very furious about what the Taoist priest did to their child. The government can also do nothing to stop the citizens, as they could personally understand how the family felt after their children were murdered in cold blood. About a month later, another big case happened again. This time was also about a kidnapping case, but it wasn't children, but the young girls (about 17–21 years old). This time, they also have no clue where to start. It was just when they received the report that a witness saw some mysterious, robed men appearing at the crime scene before the young girl went missing. After doing some investigation, the constable got a clue that the victim's family had been drugged unconscious, and the next day they woke up, their young girl had gone. It's quite similar to the case before, as the crime method was the same. They thought it might be connected to the previous case, since the remaining followers of the Taoist priest were still at large. However, they don't know where to find those priest followers. The magistrate's advisor advised them to put all the young girls in this city into one place and to have them guarded by two constables. Meanwhile, the remaining constables would ambush the surroundings. At least this is the only solution that they have right now. So they put those young girls in an unused tower beside the Buddha temple at the other corner of the city. It had been five days since they put the bait in that tower, but this mysterious black-robed man didn't show up either. Some of the constables started to complain.

Constable 1: “What are we doing exactly?? It's so obvious, no one will come to get the young girl as they were put in one place…”

Constable 2: “That's right… Who would be so stupid as to come here to kidnap those girls??”

Constable 3: “Yeah… It's just wasting time, man…”

However, the other one told his fellows not to complain; just do what they asked. Then Haruto felt something wasn't right. He didn't see two of his fellow guards at the door. Then he and his constable head quickly rushed out and went to that house, and found their two comrades were unconscious. Not only that, but the door also opened wide. They knew something had happened, so they quickly rushed inside, and it turned out all the young girls inside the house had collapsed as well. All of them must have been drugged, including those two guards. Not only that, but after waking those young girls, they found that two of them had gone missing.
