Our Time

"Anthony why? What must you do this? We are brothers, are we not?" says King Leroy. "We are brothers but YOU do not deserve to be King. YOU are too weak and soft. I am the one who will rule all." Says Anthony. "Have you gone mad Anthony! Your brother was chosen because he is a fair ruler. YOU have never been fair. You are the cruelest of all." Says Queen Rani. "Yet, I still hold more power than him. I told you Rani, I would be a better mate then my weak hearted brother. He rather take in strays then to kill those murderers." Anthony said. "You have gone mad. You want this power. Let me give it to you. Trust me. This power is more than you can bare. YOU are here and where is your wife and pup." Says King Leroy. "Gone. I sent her away because she is useless to me. But I made sure she knew if I were to die, he is to be king. That is why as the new King, first to die will be your children." Anthony said with and evil laughter. "I will do as you say Anthony but I will return. I will destroy your line and restore the land as it once was." Says King Leroy. With that he closed his eyes, there was a whisper of voices before the wind blew in. You could see the light coming from King Leroy, he was passing on the power of the Moon to his brother. Anthony could feel the surge of the Moon. Little did Anthony know, King Leroy gave his life up for his half of the moon. He let the power flow through Anthony and to his wife. She was already laying there dying. The spell that was casted would give Anthony the power of the moon but only to feel the surge everything else would be passed to his wife. Before he left he mind linked her. 'If not this life, the next life we will have eternity. You will be reborn and you will bring peace into this world. I am sorry I was too late.' With that King Leroy's body went limp. Anthony felt the power of the moon but his cockiness deceived him. After all the power of the Moon went through his body it also left. He felt non of it slowly leaving his body. He turned to Queen Rani, she was unconscious. The power of the moon had put her in a deep slumber. Anthony thought she was dead. King Leroy and Queen Rani with their three children had a funeral. They played it out like it was a rouge attack. This gave suspicions to the Golden Moon Pack and the Silver Moon Pack. Just then a face of a ghost appeared, he had black circles around his eyes and when they opened they were red. He smiled at me and stalked towards me. Rosalie's Point of view. I woke up in a panic. What a weird dream I had. These dreams have been happening more and more as times goes on. Its like my tea is not working anymore. It was only 6 AM. I guess I will just get up for the day. I slowly got up and got ready for the day. There was a knock at my door. I went to open it but it sprung open. Julie, my sister, came waltzing in. "Want to bake today. I feel like sweets and you make the best!" She said to me. "Sure!" I said. Just then my father mind linked me to come to the office. I told Julie I would meet her downstairs after my meeting with my dad. We walked out of my room and I went left to my fathers office while she went right to the stairs going down. I walked in and he gestured me to sit down. I notice my mother looked awfully sad. “My dear I need you to listen closely ok, I love you dearly but as a daughter to an Alpha you have duties to your people. I do not want to do this, but it is the best way for peace. I am sorry.” Said my father, Marcos Knight. For centuries now, we have been at war with Silver Moon City. This was war over the Old Ruin lands. It was for the ruling of a new King for the Old Ruins. Golden Moon and Silver Moon have decided to unite the packs through marriage because the increase in rouge attacks. It started getting worse of the past 12 years. “Father, I am your child, this is my home. I will protect my people I have no doubt in my mind about this. We will be one and we will get through this.” I responded to my father. He looked at me with proud eyes and looked at my mother. Not only was she worried but she was also sad. I had just turned 18 years old. My mother, Josephine Knight, had high hopes that one day I would find and marry my mate. Its too late now, since I have agreed to marry the Silver Moon Pack’s soon-to-be Alpha. “Sweetheart are you sure you want to go through with this. We can choose someone else from the pack to do this…” says my mother. Father looked at her sternly, “they request for one of my daughters. I am not about to disrespect them. We just want peace between packs. We have found a common enemy and its best to become one and destroy them. Our pack is slowly going down in numbers. Their pack is still strong. If we become one pack it will work. I am sending my eldest daughter. She knows her role.” Ah, being the eldest child and the heir to my own pack. We can unite everyone and become one. They have officially considered us the King and Queen of the Old Ruins of Moonlight City. We were the 2nd strongest pack until the recent rouge attacks. My father had asked Silver Moon to help us and were promised one of his daughters. They have also concluded about the old ruins will be where we will now station. “Mother, this is what is best for our packs. I understand what you are trying to do. I am sorry truly, but this is the only way to save our pack.” I reassured my mother. She looked at my dad and back at me. Then said, “That would require you to reject your mate, would you be able to do that?” I was stunned. I had forgotten all about finding my mate. I was longing for one since I turned 16 years old but could not find a mate. I looked at her and said, “if it was meant to be then I must.” She looked at my father and asked “what if he cannot do the same for her. What if he cannot give up his mate?” My father looked at her and said “then that is for his parents to determine not ours. I understand that it can cause Rosalie to hurt if she were to love him and reject her mate but it’s a sacrifice we must make. I truly am sorry my loves. I wish this were better times. I know we can manage after this happens.” I looked at my parents and got up. “If you don’t mind, I am going to join Julie now. We are supposed to be baking cupcakes today for Thomas and Samuel.” I spoke. I got up and walked towards the door. Reality sunk in and hit me like a freight train, it was already hard trying to understand the role of an Alpha. Then we had to make this deal, we had to make sure we would survive. I started walking down the stairs to the 1st floor, when I heard Julie screaming. I darted for the kitchen. “Julie! What is going on?” I stopped for a moment and looked at her. She looks like she saw a ghost. I walked over to her, and she just stood there ready to cry. “JULIE! JULIE!” I screamed at her. “Ssss… pppp... ider…. SPIDER ROSA!” She said terrified. I should have known; my sister has a fear of spiders. “It’s ok Julie I am here. Don’t worry, I will get the spider. Where is it?” I calmly asked her. She was still looking out the window. “THERE!” She pointed out the window. I mean its already outside. I looked out the window and saw a spider on the window seal. I took a cup and caught it. I took it to the back door to release it. I was walking back, and Julie was crying. “Its ok Julie. I got rid of it.” I mention to her. “It’s not that Rosa... what will I do when you leave? Thomas just makes fun of me and does NOT help me. I am going to miss you Rosa…” she mentions. Those words made me stop in my tracks in front of her. I leaned in and gave her a hug. “Julie, one day you will find a mate and they will do this for you. Don’t you worry. You will have someone to help you.” I said to her. She looked up at me and smiled. I looked at her and wiped her tears and said “alright let’s get cooking. Those cupcakes aren’t going to make themselves.” We started gathering all the ingredients and cupcake pans, I preheated the oven and got to mixing all the dry ingredients. Julie started prepping all the wet ingredients and then we started slowly incorporating it the Kitchen Aid. It was a gift from my father, I am going to miss doing this with Julie. We started putting the batter in the cupcake liners and put them in the oven. Julie started making whipped cream frosting and buttercream. We colored them Red and gold and refrigerated them for later. We got to talking about the upcoming meeting with the Silver Moon back. Thomas walked in and asked us if we were done yet. Then him and Julie were arguing about how long it takes to make the cupcakes. I shook my head and thought how much I would miss my family when I leave. Would it be like this where I go? Would I have the change to find this kind of love where I go?
