Unraveling

I looked at my aunt and Julie asked, “why are they hiding?”

“We don’t know why. One day a long time ago we notice someone digging in our garbage. It was about the same time we heard about the rouges attacking the boarder. We ended up building a wall around our garbage. We thought it was other critters. Then we notice that they were breaking into our cellar. It was happening about twice every month. So, we decided to make a meal for 7 days and leave it out. We left a not asking them to not attack or steal the food. We would make the food and leave it for them everyday around the same time. They were actually a few days early. Normally they come every Sunday night. We never seen them; today is the first time we have seen anything. Now we know they are not critters but wolves.” Said my aunt Gem.

I could see the truth in her eyes. She has never seen the wolves or knew what was really going on. They just so happen to venture out today, out of all days. We gesture my aunt and uncle to come stay with us, but they said they will keep doing it. It has kept them safe.

After a long talk with them, we decided to go home and send some guards back to my Aunt Gem and Uncle Tony. Uncle Tony also agreed to have wolf hunters come stay with them. Not the ones that believe in the old ways but the ones that are more understanding of the peace we can have. They would also have guards posted at the house, they lived at. We made our way back the pack, but I knew that something was following from a distance.

“Lucas, your mother did tell you to stop coming over here. Why do you not listen and keep coming?” Said James my best friend and right-hand man.

“Because what we are looking for is not at the old ruins. I could never locate it, but I can feel its close. I feel like it is going to be here at this restaurant of all places.” I said to James.

My mother would tell me stories about the Moonlight pack. She told me someone overthrown the king and queen, my father was next in line, but King Leroy tried to save Queen Rani and gave all the power of the moon to her. I was always told that for me to be king and take my place on the thrown I must train. I need to take back the power of the moon.

When we reached the boarder of where the restaurant was, I could smell a strawberry aroma. It was sweet and I loved it. Rocky was going crazy in my head. All I could think about was, is that my mate. We were not born rouge. We are descendants of the King and Queen. Before the war started my father wanted to make sure we were well provided.

He hid us far away from the castle on the outer boarder of the Silver Moon and Golden Moon pack. He would tell my mother it was to keep the lines of the king and queen alive. My mother said my father came to her one night and said it was time I took my thrown and find the power of the moon.

I was waiting in the tree line to see if anyone was there today. The whole parking lot was empty but 2 cars. Which was odd, they are always busy and booming with life. That was when I saw a few people leave the restaurant. That was when I saw her, she was beautiful, and her aroura reminded me of when we would go visit Queen Rani.

I felt like I was in a trance. I didn’t notice that they had all perked up and was ready for battle. I also did not notice that I was walking out of the woods towards her. After a while I notice she was in a stance to fight as well. I like them frisky.

‘LUCAS HEEL!’ I finally heard James in my head.

I growled at James and startled my prey. I notice that more people had showed up and I decided to leave before it got worse. I got back to the tree line to look at her one more time. She looked perfect.

James’s mind linked me again ‘Lucas, let’s go before they come after us. I will try to mask our scent, so they won’t follow us. Don’t need your mother getting upset with us again.’

I picked up my pace and so did James. We ran straight back to the bunker near the castle. My father had it built in case there was an attack on our pack. It would be our quick get away from the war with just me and my mother. We got there and my mother was up and getting dinner ready for us.

“Did you find where they reburied her body?” My mother asked.

“No, we found something else.” I responded.

“More like someone else.” Mumbled James.

My mother stopped in her track and turned to look at us. “What do you mean someone else?” She said with anger in her eyes.

I gave James a look, what he said was not low enough she heard him.

“Sorry mother….” I tried to explain but she cut me off.

“DON’T YOU DARE TELL ME YOU WENT BACK TO THE RESTURANT. I TOLD YOU THAT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.” My mother screamed at me.

“Just let me explain.” I tried again.

“NO! You were told to try to find something, and you didn’t. YOU WONDERED OFF!” My mother said with anger in her voice.

“It was a girl! She has the power of the moon I could feel her aroura. It is the same as Queen Rani’s powers.” I said to my mother.

She froze then she looked at me again and said “Her powers were passed down. We need to stop this right away, we need to find a way to get the power from her.”

What does she mean that it was passed down? There is only one King and Queen.

Rosalie’s Point of View

By the time we got back to the house, my brother had already assembled a few of our best warriors to go to stay with my aunt restaurant. We assigned them all their position and arranged them to always have 2 human guards. After the briefing we sent them on their way to the restaurant.

I made my way upstairs to my father’s office to see what other Alpha business was needed. I could smell the rain and grass from the stairwell. I got to the door and knocked.

“Come in.” Said Vincent. That shocked me because why would he be in the office. I walked in and he was alone. “Your father said he would be right back, your mother called him.”

“Ok. What were you doing in here?” I asked him.

“I wanted to talk to your father about us and we got to talking about the rebuilding of the castle.” He spoke.

“What about us?” I responded.

“Well, I wanted to let them know that we are mates. I already mention it to my parents. They are excited for us to go home.” Vincent mention to me. My heart started racing and I was feeling numb.

“Are you sure we are fully mates?” I asked him.

“Are you still not able to feel the mate pull?” He said with sad eyes.

“I feel more every day.” Just as I said that he wrapped his arms around me, and I felt like I was on cloud 9. The less I drink my tea the more I can feel the love my parents described to me.

He slowly started kissing the back of my shoulders then up to my neck. Then he hit the sweet spot. I could feel it dripping out of me as he kissed and licked the spot where he would mark me. He straightens up and looked at me before whispering “they are probably on their way back”

I hurried up and fixed myself right before my mother came in. They looked at us for a moment and walked across the room to the desk. My father looked at me then at Vincent and a big smiled formed on his face.

“I see you two are wasting no time.” He said with a chuckle.

“Dad. Its just… I can explain.” I said to him.
