Our Time

Confused

I started feeling heavy and I open my eyes. I looked at my clock and it was 6 am. I missed a full day. What happened. I don’t recall any of it. I slowly got up and went to the bathroom. I took a quick shower. I went to my vanity and started getting ready for the day. I looked in the mirror and could see that my skin and hair was glowing.

I freaked out for a moment and just like that it stopped. I looked back in the mirror, and everything seemed so normal. I shrugged it off and got ready for the day. I put on my blue jeans with my halter top shirt and a sweater over it. Today was going to be a little cold, so I decided to wear tennis shoes.

I went to the door and there was a soft knock on the door. No one knocks that soft. I went to open it and was meet with hazel eyes.

“Good morning, Rosalie! How was your sleep?” He said with a smile. Oh, my goddess, this man is gorgeous.

“It was great. When did we go to sleep? Actually, when did you leave my room?” I asked him.

“I was actually just going to ask you that question. It seems like we went our normal day and woke up in our separate rooms” he said to me with a confused look.

“Well. Let’s not dwell on this. We have things we have to do today. We have some Alpha duties to attend too.” I said to him. We were still talking with my father about rebuilding the castle that once stood at the old ruins. Well, it still stands there but we want to remodel it so its more modernized.

My father found the floor plans of the castle from when they went to war with King Anthony. There was an under-ground passage that went from the city to the castle. I told my father and Vincent that we were going to destroy the old passage and create a new one. This castle was built with stones, it would be hard to truly remodel it. Lucky my father had a construction crew and is an architect. Bonus Thomas was taking over the family business.

‘Let’s destroy this one and rebuild. I just have a feeling that it is better if we rebuild the castle from the ground up.’ Says Gia.

‘Why would we destroy it, this is a part of history.’ I said to her.

‘Just trust me on this one will you Rosalie.’ Says Gia before going to the back of my mind.

“Darling, are you ok? You spaced out on us.” says my father.

“Sorry, I think we should just destroy it and rebuild it. Well…. At least that is what Gia said to me” I said to Vincent and my father.

“Rosalie, destroying and rebuilding what is there will take some time. Are you sure you want to do that? Destroy this castle. It is a part of who we are?” Said Vincent.

I nod my head yes. They looked at me and shrug their shoulders. My father pulled up some new plans and asked me what I wanted.

‘Gia, could you tell me why you want to do this?’ I asked her.

‘It’s complicated. But to sum it up. This castle was rebuilt by Anthony. He has other passages that run through this home already. I have a feeling the rouges know about this. When we would go there for our nightly routines, I could smell them.’ She spoke.

‘You could but I couldn’t’ I said

‘Rosalie, you were under a spell. I on the other hand was immune to it. That is why I was never fully asleep, and we could still be in wolf form. We are special.’ She said then went back to the back of my mind.

“Rosalie, how many rooms do you want?” My father said.

“35 rooms and each one will have its own bathrooms. First floor is common area; ballroom, dining rooms, kitchen, pantry, library, meeting halls. 2nd floors are for guest and entertainment.” I spoke.

“Let’s have that floor open up to see the 1st floor. We could also do it for the 3rd too.” Says Vincent.

“I like that idea. We can have the 3rd floor for Gemma’s and their family. 4th floor for Beta’s and family and the 5th floor for Alphas. I just want the office of the alpha on the same floor as the Gemma’s.” I spoke. I don’t know why I said it, but I did. Normally Alpha’s office is near their rooms. I just had a feeling that all of that should be on the 3rd floor and no one else should go to the Alpha’s floor.

“Why?” Said Vincent.

“I believe we should not allow anyone beyond the floor of our Gemma. I just have a feeling we are safer this way.” I spoke.

At first, he just stared at me. But as he sat there and thought about it. He notices I was right.

“Let’s have it on the 2nd floor, along with the meeting hall and put the entertainment hall on the first floor. That way all our guest will only venture to the 2nd floor.” Said Vincent.

“Great idea.” I spoke. We continued to build this castle. One thing I wanted was a way to escape if we were to have a war break out again. We ended up looking into other ideas like a wall, but I told them I would like to have it open. I want people to come and go in the common area this will give us a good relationship with the people that are within our walls.

After we finally got our castle down, we went down for lunch. I didn’t even realize we had miss breakfast. They had out some fried chicken with collard greens. It also look like Julie was with them because there was homemade corn bread and buns. There was also green bean casserole and other yummy dishes.

I couldn’t wait to dig in. I was about to get up and get something to drink but my sister beat me to it. She brought over a soda pop and some water.

“Thought you’d like something to drink while eating Rosalie. Where were you this morning? You never miss breakfast..” she said.

“Sorry, we had some pack business today and I was running a little late. Thank you for the drinks.” I said.

“No problem. I didn’t know what you wanted. Normally you drink tea. But recently you haven’t.” She said. My sister is always observant. That is why she is head tracker. I always thought she would be my tracker always.

“Rosalie, would you mind joining me this afternoon? I just want to have a mother , daughter day. If you like Julie, you can join us? Unless your father still needs you on tracking duty.” My mother said giving my father a stern eye.

He nervously gulped his food and smiled at my mom. “No, you can have them for the rest of the day dear. I will just take Vincent and Thomas with me.” He chuckled then slowly started eating his food again.

“Yes! Thanks dad! What are we doing today mom?” says Julie with excitement.

“Just some motherly, daughter fun.” My mother said. I was excited, I haven’t had a break in a while. I have been focus on my alpha duties and the war about pack lands.

I hurried up and ate the rest of my lunch and excused my self from the table. I ran upstairs to get ready. I walked downstairs and headed to the front door. My mother and father were talking.

“This is the last thing I can do for her. I just want her to be happy before we have to let her go off on her own.” My mother said.

“She will be here another 2 days. Don’t worry. She will be ok on her own. We raised a wonderful daughter.” Said my father.

“Do you think she will have time to see us still?” said my mother.

“Of course I will. I am not one to leave and never come back. I just hope we can’t keep these outer rings.” I said to my parents. I gave them both a hug. It was a long hug. I could feel the sadness over coming me. When we finally let go. My father kissed my forehead, then kissed my mother and walked away.

“Alright guys! I am ready.” Says Julie coming in. “Dad, are you sure I am ok to go?”

“Yes darling. Go have fun with your mom and sister. We can go over the tracking tomorrow.” He said before going up the stairs to his office.

“Let’s go have some fun girls.” Says my mother.
