"Henry, what is my schedule today?" John Richards asked his personal assistant.     "Boss, you are scheduled to meet the Chairman today at lunch." It was two hours before the said appointment, but he knows his boss doesn't want public attention, and so he will make a way to avoid the paparazzi when going out, even for a meal with his family.     "Send me the address, and you go when I tell you, I'll bring my own car."     "Yes, boss." Henry knows his boss might get there early or on time. He will have to be on the lookout to have this meeting with the boss' grandmother, the Charmain of Richards Electronics, the leading company in the country when it comes to the fields of electronics.  The old lady wanted his grandson to take charge of the company and sit as the new Chairman, but John Richards has his own passion turned business and showed no interest in his grandmother's demands. The company his grandfather built years ago is founded by few board members who compete in every way to take over the company when his grandpa, who was the first founder and chairman, died in a car accident, but since the old Chairman was the biggest shareholder, the next of kin if interested can take the position. During that time, he was so young that his grandmother took charge and made her son-in-law, John's father take the General Manager's position. Her daughter, an only daughter, John's mom, was with the Chairman during the car accident, and both had severe injuries. The paramedics tried to save them, but the car was so wrecked colliding with an eighteen-wheeler car delivery truck that it was already a miracle they didn't die on the spot. Though their driver and bodyguard seated upfront was crushed, the old man and his daughter were shielded by the airbags, so they didn't die on the spot, the medics were almost able to bring them to the hospital for help, but they didn't make it through as they passed away before they arrive at the nearest hospital. It was a very devastating time of their lives. An elderly woman lost her beloved husband and her one and only child, her daughter. A daughter who also had a young son, who was already traumatized by an accident during his early ages and still struggling to come out of that trauma, and here came another blast of heartbreak about losing his mother to another accident. The mother who had been his biggest source of comfort during his disappointments and self-pitying moments, the soft-hearted mother that never gave up on him even when his father was giving him cold shoulders ever since he can remember. For a family who has been so busy living in the business world and industry, they had a very short-lived harmonious life. Yet they couldn't help it, knowing they have thousands of people working for them to provide for their respective families, they can only set their selves aside and try to fill the absences with the provision in everything and believing that they will leave a very stable and unshakable life for their descendants in the future. But as they lived by, they came to realize that today is a blessing. That is why it's called a "present" because nobody knows what the future brings. The old lady realized this fact after everything happened this way. And so now, she is trying her best to reach out to his only heir, John Richards, to express her paternal love and help him live a life different than before to avoid regrets. She is trying to match her grandson to women with kindness and a warm personality, but her grandson has been avoiding all of these match-makings, and now he is already starting to avoid her. "Has John arrived?" the Chairman asked her PA. "Our men downstairs already saw his car arriving at the parking lot, Chairman," her PA, Daniel Smith, politely answered. He was her husband's trusted employee, and so she kept him working for her. Besides, she needed someone who already knew the dos and don'ts on the job, so it was not just for convenience. It was actually a smart business move for a boss, and the employee felt beyond grateful, so he gave equal even more respect to the present Chairman than the former one.  "Okay then, you know what to do. Make sure that everything goes as I've told you."  "Yes, Chairman."  The old lady had a playful smile on her face as she dismissed her assistant. She was sure her grandson wouldn't easily agree or go with her plans, but she was up for a challenge.  "Let's see if you can avoid me and win your way, young man!"
