"Aaaagggh!!!" sounds can be heard from people surprised, groaning in pain and fear.     "Oh no! I don't wanna die! Please help!"    More loud noises can be heard roaring from everywhere in the hotel. John, who was on his way to fulfill his grandmother's wishes were stuck together with few people in the hotel elevator. But despite the fact that the elevator stopped and the whole box was dead dark, he was calm. His noble expression never showed panic or worry of anything. He pressed on the emergency button and tried to ask for assistance. The line was connected, and they found out there was a fire in the building, so the elevator automatically stopped. They were asked to keep calm and wait for a while as the elevator has no problem. When the fire is controlled, the lift will operate again. And as they wait, of course, some were anxious for different reasons.      "Where could there be the fire in this building?" Asks an old lady.     "I don't have any idea," answers the man beside him. Whether they are strangers or a companion to each other John didn't know. He just thought. Hopefully, it is not where he was supposed to go. Knowing the lady, he was to meet was said to be there already. Although he is not interested in having any relationship with this person, he still hopes she is safe for the sake of his grandma's peace of mind.     "Please, be advised that the elevator service will be back in a few minutes. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a nice day"—a voice from the speaker announced after twenty minutes. The hotel's management is impressive that they were able to settle the situation efficiently. Well, knowing that it costs a lot to be a member of these establishments, they are expected to have the best service for people in high places of the society.   When John tried to press the button for the floor where he was supposed to go, its light didn't light up. He tried pressing the next floor to it. It lit up, so he tried again but in vain. He started to get the feeling a little worried for that lady. Silently praying she is fine or best if she didn't wait for him and left before the fire. John tried to contact his assistant, but before he could dial, a call came.     "Boss!"     "Henry, I want you to check if the lady I was supposed to have lunch with is safe." John is a straightforward person. He stated this command in a very casual tone.     "The Chairman is very worried about the news. We have been trying to contact you for the last twenty minutes" Henry, as the efficient assistant that he is, knows exactly what he should do even with just a few words. Likewise, he knows how to send a message to his boss in a simple sentence.      "I will call the Chairman myself. Let me know the results right away".  The rest of the people in the elevator was amazed by his inexplicable aura. A mixture of calmness, authoritative and compassion. These were visible in him within moments as he was calm during the whole time. He exceeds authority while speaking on the phone to Henry, but he showed compassion when he thought about his worried grandmother and said he would call her directly. He was the last person to get off the elevator as it was the top floor where he was supposed to meet that blind date the Chairman has arranged for him. But since the fire happened, the top floor elevator was restricted from use temporarily. He got off a lower floor to the top and used the fire exit stairs to know the situation by himself.      "Excuse me. I am a doctor. I would like to extend assistance if there is still in need of it." John, due to his physical condition, studied medicine. Though he is not working in a hospital or attending to patients, his knowledge in medicine is not to be taken lightly.      "Thank you, Doc. I'm from the medical team. We have sent most of the victims to the nearest hospital, but some are still left behind due to limited options of bringing them down safely. Please follow me", a young man in orange and black uniform lead John inside the area of the restaurant in hurried steps. The area is not the much chaotic. It can be said the fire was handled right away, but since it was on the top floor. The elevator was temporarily shut down, even if there is a helipad, with the number of people to be rescued, it would not be so easy to move everybody down. All kids and the elderly were sent to the hospital first, while the rest that can be treated with first aid were taken care of on the spot. They can choose to proceed home or go to the hospital if they prefer to. Anyway, the hotel management declared full medical assistance for everyone.   "Boss, the lady you were supposed to meet for lunch, was sent to the hospital, nothing serious, but she fainted in panic and might have inhaled a lot of smoke" Henry went to the surveillance room to check what happened and to see how the lady was during the whole incident as he had to give a detailed report to his boss. And that is also how he knew where John was at the moment.     "I see. I'm going there after this." John answered shortly, feeling relieved knowing that the person his grandma set up with him is out of danger. Knowing that the situation now isn't in need of much of his assistance as what is left to be done is moving the rest of the victim downstairs, he let his men help instead. He left the top floor, went one floor lower to take the elevator, and while waiting for it to arrive, he called his grandma.     "John, my boy, are you okay? Where are you now? Are you hurt? How is your leg?" his grandma, more than usual, which is already a nagger, started to shoot questions as soon as the line was connected.     "Chairman, don't worry, I am fine." John comforted the elder.     "Don't Chairman me, you brat! I asked you a question, you better come to me within today, or I will come to you to see you for myself. I won't be in peace just listening to God knows if you're telling the truth or just trying to deceive me," she was so worried that her voice was a few pitch higher, sounding so agitated.     "Grandma, relax. I will check on the lady you sent to have lunch with me. First, she's brought to the hospital, and then I will bring you your favorite snacks today," he patiently said, knowing how to comfort his grandma since he was a kid, as he is the only descendant of their bloodline the grandma has been spoiling him rotten. But John was a very sensible person even when he was younger, he didn't indulge himself in nonsense things, besides physically speaking he didn't have the liberty like usual teenagers. Most of his younger years were spent on treatment and studies resulting in many academic accomplishments, successful business investments, and of course, complete physical recovery. Only his body that has been used to the feeling of illness cannot totally forget and adjust to the completely healed him.      "I won't forgive you till I see you with my own eyes," sounding pitiful and stubborn, she added, "and my favorite snacks today!"     "I know, I know, I promise I will see you soon," he chuckled slightly, hearing his grandma's childish words.  Just as the call ended, the elevator came. He headed to the hospital, where the lady was brought on his own ride while his assistant and civilian bodyguards were tailing him along the way. He actually didn't agree with his grandma's arrangements about the security, but they came upon mutual agreement that as long as they aren't so eye-catching, for he prefers to be low profile, he will allow it. Anyway, he is considered precious by his grandma, who always worries about him, so to keep the old lady satisfied since they do not live together and he has his own endeavors, he compromised. Knowing all the fire victims from the hotel were brought to the hospital's emergency section, John Richards went to it directly to inquire.     "Excuse me. I am looking for Kim Holly. A patient from the hotel fire this noon".     "She's at the last bed in a left row," answered a nurse at the station. Just as he was about to turn around, a sound of stainless falling filled the room, accompanied by a slight yelp of a woman.     "No! No! No!" Diane was in a hurry as the newly arrived patient needed the shot of painkillers right away that instead of waiting for the nurse to bring it over, she took the initiative herself as Lisa was having a bad stomach after lunch today. She suddenly felt she bumped into a wall and almost fell down after the tray, but as she closed her eyes, welcoming the floor on her face, she realized she has caught by strong, firm arms.      "Whew!!! That was close," Diane sighed in relief, looking up to her savior, but she was at a loss of what to say next when she saw his face. He was so noble, even with a stern face. He looked so handsome. She has seen a lot of dignified and handsome men as she works for a prestigious hospital, with a lot of medical practitioners from wealthy families, yet this man is above them all. His cold aura is like a magnet attracting her attention. She stood up straight and said, ``Th...thanks! And I'm sorry, I was in a hurry".      "I understand. This is the emergency room. It would be weird if you take it slow when attending to something," John, on the other hand, was mesmerized by this lady in a doctor's white uniform seeing her face flushed red, not really sure whether it was because of adrenaline rush or embarrassment from almost diving into the floor a while ago, with a casual face answered.     "Doctor Diane, Lisa said you have the painkillers?" A duty reliever of Lisa came and broke the magical moment.     "Yes, I got it," Diane bent down to pick up the tray and its contents which fell on the floor. Nodding curtly to John, she left. 'Diane, Doctor Diane, so that's her name,' John thought as he saw her walking away. Then he headed to where Kim Holly was to check on her condition.
