Samantha decides to meet James

1022 Words
Peter put on an innocent face and pretended nothing had happened. After that, he asked Samantha with lustful eyes if she could just relax. Samantha, whether you like it or not, is now your father, and you must respect him, Andrea stated before leaving the room. Peter kissed Samantha on the lips, said he would soon enjoy her sizzling beauty, and then shut the door. His remarks stun Samantha, and she feels unable to tell her mother about the harassment because she is not paying attention to her. Samantha hadn't changed throughout the days, since she couldn't stop thinking about the lost love in her life. Peter is becoming increasingly aggressive and keeps reaching out to touch her. Each time, though, she manages to get away from him. Samantha is counting on her mother for support, but her mother is constantly preoccupied with her job and has not spoken to Samantha in over a month. She was walking home from university when she tripped over a book and scattered papers. The woman was busy filling out paperwork when she heard her name being called. Samantha c****d her head in the direction the voice had come from and was taken aback to see James holding the papers she had dropped on the road. Samantha's legs swayed uncontrollably towards him, and tears of excitement and delight spilled out her eyes. Since he was the only one who could hear her, all she wanted was to hug him and cry about what was happening in the house. Instinctively, she went to approach him, but her rational self reminded her that they were no longer connected and that he was, in fact, a stranger. She quickly snatched the papers from her hands to avoid detection and bolted from the scene. James noticed Samantha's radiance had faded, and her stomach sank. He stared in her direction, uncertain as to whether or not she was consuming the food. Samantha, upon arriving home, rushes into her bedroom, where she is surprised to see a club dancer having fun with Peter. She tossed her books and backpack to the floor, grabbed the club dancer by the hair, and forced her out of the room, claiming that she was studying for a doctor's course that would enable her to save many lives. "Samantha!" The angry Peter yelled. "Although I am aware of you, there is no way that I can broach the subject with my mother because you have convinced her that you are an amazing human being. Instead, I'll make my mom see the error of her ways and release you. Don't try to impress me with how savvy you are. The room must be left immediately." Angry, Samantha yelled and flung the club dancer's dress outdoors. Without saying a word, Peter simply glanced at Samantha and then left. After being insulted, he went to his room and tried to ignore the situation to focus on Samantha. Later that night, Samantha's buddy called to tell her that James had asked about her at school. Samantha exclaimed with disbelief, "What?" "Yes. I hear your dad is asking about how you've been feeling and how you've been doing in school. I'm sure Dean has already told him that you got a failing grade on your Semester exam. His concern for your well-being compels you to at least meet with him once. Bye." After hearing her buddy out, Samantha ended the call and reflected thoughtfully on her relationship with James. "How am I supposed to face him if he finds out I bombed the tests? He was only required to pay for his examinations and labs. The problem is, you have to confront him once more. Why does he care so much about how I'm doing? Is he aware that I haven't eaten in hours?" It was better, Samantha reasoned, to meet James and explain her poor performance in the examinations than to simply run away. Then she wrapped herself in a shawl and stepped outside. She is taken aback to see Peter sitting on the living room couch watching television. "That cretin is standing in front of the door. As soon as he spots me, he'll tell Mom what he's seen. In what direction may I make my exit?" As she deliberated, Samantha pushed open the rear door. She then went outside and, with considerable difficulty, leaped over a wall. Despite her challenges, she sets off on the road pursuing James. When she saw a car heading in the direction she wanted to travel, she pulled over to hail a cab. Samantha hurried over to the automobile, smiling, as it came to a stop. She is taken aback to see Andrea sitting in the car, perusing paperwork in the trunk. When Samantha saw Andrea in the car, she felt a quick chill run up and down her body. "Is there any sign that Mom has visited recently? Honestly, I have my doubts." To this end, Samantha pondered the situation and made no clear conclusions. "Come on in. A woman shouldn't be on the road for too long," Andrea said as she perused the paperwork. Samantha unlocked the car door and sat down on the passenger seat, nodding her head in terror. She feels the tension rising with each passing second and begs God that her mother won't see her. "Driver, take me to work and drop her off wherever she specifies, ", a statement Andrea made before she put the file away. "My mother will see me if she closes the file. Where do I go from here?" Samantha looked in the rearview mirror at Andrea and inquired. Once Andrea put on her headphones and closed her eyes to listen, Samantha felt a sense of relief wash over her. She told the driver that she had to go because she felt unsafe, and she believed that her mother cared more about the other girls than her own daughter. "Tell me where I went wrong, mom. How come you can't see that I'm a girl who prefers to confide in her mother and no one else?" Samantha questioned as she dried her eyes.
