James declined Samantha's money and explained that he had no ties to anyone, so he didn't need her help.
"Yes. You don't speak to them because your mother remarried before she could legally do so, cutting off any contact with that side of the family. As I had foolishly exiled you from my life, you now had no one to turn to for support." Samantha muttered sadly to herself as she gazed lovingly at James.
"Are you Samantha?" James inquired, full of joy and anticipation.
Samantha left the money on the table next to James and fled from him, despite his calls.
She rushes out into the street, sobbing uncontrollably at what her mother did. Seeing James in such a sorry state caused her to break down in tears, but she didn't cry when her mother took the cards away.
A park is where she temporarily stops and enters. With tears in her eyes, she sat on the grass and took in her surroundings.
When Samantha's Dean, Abraham, called and kept his hands on her shoulders, she finally calmed down.
"Pardon me, Sir. Due to a family emergency, I could not make it today." As she dried her eyes, Samantha remarked.
"In my opinion, Samantha, you are one smart cookie. I understand you are distracted now, but please get back to your studies. No idea what went wrong, but you bombed the Semester tests. If this behavior persists, I will have to have your name removed from the files and you will never be able to practice psychiatry again.", Abraham declared, and he and his family left.
Samantha is stunned by the news Abraham told her and didn't know what to do because her heart isn't everywhere with joy from anywhere.
At 6:00 PM, the clock chimed.
Samantha arrived at the house exhausted after a long round of crying in response to seeing James lying in bed.
Then she noticed that her mother's bedroom window was shut, and she could hear laughter and sighs from the living room.
Samantha felt hatred for the first time when she entered a house where the inhabitants didn't care about anyone but themselves. She expected her mother to be concerned about her, but that never happened.
As a young kid who needs protection, hearing the screams outside makes her hate them more. However, this does not occur at home.
She washed her hair and head, then went to bed without eating. Her thoughts keep returning to James and how much he loves her. She grabbed her phone and called the hospital to find out how James was doing. She is taken aback when she finds out that James has been released from the hospital.
As Samantha saw when she checked the time, it was already 9:00 p.m. She left the house to inspect the meal on the patio table. She tucked it in a box, stepped outside, and rode her scooter to James's place.
Even though she's excited to see James finally, her mind is jarred into a state of disbelief when she spots Andrea driving James' car back to his house.
She was in disbelief and utter confusion, unable to process what she had witnessed.
"Who's at home if Mom's in the car?" While Samantha drove the car toward her house, she pondered the question.
She has a lot of unanswered questions going through her head right now. At first, she checks her watch and gets frustrated that she's not home yet.
Within minutes, she had arrived at the residence, but she still lacked the nerve to approach it from the front. So she climbed over the fence and entered her house through the back bedroom.
She left the room to see her mother eating breakfast at the table.
"Get dinner with us, Samantha. I've put off eating while I wait for you, "Peter beamed and extended an invitation to dinner.
Samantha averted her gaze and declared spitefully that she was not hungry.
Peter, who had his hands on Samantha's shoulders the whole time, speculated that she was timid since they were a new couple.
Samantha slapped him when his fingers reached over her shoulders for her breast.
"Samantha!" When Peter told Andrea to calm down, she lowered her hand from where she had been about to hit him.
"Your adjustment to life with me as your husband will be gradual. A young girl's heart is like a balloon—large and soft—so we must be careful not to pop it." replied Peter, examining Samantha's bust.
Samantha hid her nakedness and scurried upstairs. After Peter mistreated her, she was at a loss for words and could not express her anguish.
"You're too stunned to cry, after all. Is it something you're already aware of?" After seeing Samantha, Peter asked the question, and his eye popped.
Samantha resisted the urge to attack him and politely asked him to leave the room.
"It's OK. So long as you don't need me, I'll be leaving. However, are you willing to embrace me with your warm body?" When Samantha wasn't looking, Peter inquired and walked over to her.
She was confused, and she kept calling out for her mother.
Simply put: "What the heck happened?" Andrea, irritated, asked.
Samantha was taken aback; she had not anticipated that her mother would be irritated to hear from her, and she found herself at a loss for words.
