Detention

The next morning the girls got ready for school and decided to use some of their class time to try to research myths that looked like what they had seen...

Once they arrived at school they went straight to there tables and started researching while the teacher started the lesson. "I found something called the Crocottas, it's a dog man thing and it lurs people in by mimicking voices to eat them" Clover said, "I guess that's close but the thing I saw definitely didn't look like a dog.". "what about a skinwalker?" asked Janasia. "I think those only turn into animals. replied Hannah,"Where getting nowhere"Roxanne said sighing. "What are you four doing!?" yelled the teacher to the girls. They all rolled their eyes and sighed in frustration. " Nothing Ms.Teacher" said Janasia as the teacher stormed to the back of the class and towards where the girls were sitting. She snatched up Clover's computer and looked at the screen."What kind of witch craft are you girls looking at!?" shouted the teacher angrily. Roxanne smirked as she looked up at the teacher "You would know a lot about witches considering you look and smell just like one, You smell like dead ass." As soon Roxanne said that the girls as well as the entire class erupted into laughter. The teacher's face turned red with anger and embarrassment, "That's it, I've had enough of your constant disruption and lack of respect towards this class, All of you are staying after class for detention. "Jesus we stay in here for they entire day and now we have to breathe in your stank for another hour" Roxanne yelled as the teacher walk away and the class burst out in laughter again. Once the teacher gained her composure and started teaching the boy in front of the girls, Chris, turned around and started talking to them again" I get tired of that Banshee yelling all the time" he said smiling at them. "Well she was the chorus director last year so imagine that but high-pitched to the point your ears bleed, she almost got fired for busting a kids eardrum" Janasia whispered back to him. "We almost got her" The boy whispered, "Anyway what witchcraft was she preaching about anyway?" Chris asked. " We're researching mythological creatures for a presentation" Clover explained hurriedly. "We don't have an assignment for that" The boy retorted. "um... We're trying to start a new club, where we learn about different myths and we need this to show to the headmaster" "Oh makes sense I guess" Chris satisfied with this answer turned back around. " Why did you lie to him." Hannah asked confused. " We can't have him telling everybody and making them think we're crazy!" Clover whisper yelled.

" Right, good call"

The girls were so busy with their research that they didn't hear when the dismissal bell rang until the other students were leaving. "We're right back where we started, all that time and we've learned absolutely nothing" Hannah thought to herself she laid her head down and let out a sigh of frustration.Clover rubbed her back to cheer her up. "Well, maybe we could try asking around, we can keep using Clover's cover up and ask people if they've seen anything like that creature" suggested Janasia. The girls thought about it for a moment and agreed that's what they would do. " We should make posters so that people find it more believable!" Clover squealed excitedly, "You just want to play in glitter" Janasia said playfully. Clover ran to the storage closet in the back of the room. The girls waited patiently for her to return but were startled by Clover's scream " She's dead, she's dead, oh my God she's dead" Clover yelled while crying. She ran out of the closet and joined the girls. Roxanne and Janasia ran to the storage room and stood in horror. Janasia gagged almost vomiting but gained her composure. She walked over to the dead body and touched it. "What the hell are you doing?!" Roxanne shouted. "I'm moving the body out of the way, so I can get to these" Janasia said as she knocked over the body and went into the box labeled scissors. She managed to separate the pairs of scissors and turned them into a dagger like weapon. She then took off the sweeper of the broom and duck taped the dagger onto it creating a spear, she made another one using the other broom. She took one for herself and gave one to Roxanne. She then broke the blade off the paper cutter and handed it to Hannah "We have to get out of here, and if that thing tries to stop us we'll be ready for it". Hannah, Roxanne, and Clover all looked at each other shocked. " You expect us to fight that thing!?" Hannah exclaimed, " If we run into it yes, and we have to do it while it's still the teacher." Janasia replied. "And how do you know that, how do you know we can kill it in while it's human?" Roxanne asked. " Would you rather fight a tuby middle aged woman or the monster Hannah described!?" Shouted Janasia as she walked over to the door. She tried the doorknob but it was looked from the outside. "How is that even possible, why can't I open it" Janasia said to herself. Then the door opened, Janasia looked up surprised then a look of horror struck across her face she ran to join the girls as their teacher stepped into the room, she looked at the weapons in the girls hands and towards the storage room. "You know they say curiosity killed the cat, you girls should pray you don't end up like your teacher" the monster said with a wicked smile. It shut the door it stood in front of it blocking it with it's body, before the girls could say anything the sound of bones cracking filled the room as it hunched over, the monster's limbs started to stretch it's teeth growing long and sharp, it's eyes started to sink in to their sockets. " We have to try and kill it before it fully transformed!" Shouted Janasia to the other girls. Clover picked up a chair and threw it at the creature to distract it while Roxanne charged at the creature with her spear, the creature knocked Roxanne to the wall and was about to pounce on her when Hannah ran and stabbed it in the back with the blade of the paper cutter. She pulled the blade out and thrust it back in several times as the creature let out a monstrous shriek, it turned to try and attack her but Clover threw another chair at its head and Janasia used the chance to thrust her spear through the monster's neck. Roxanne picked up her spear and stabbed it through the monster's chest. It let out a cry of anger and tossed the girls aside it grabbed at it neck as black liquid poured out. The monster tried to attack the girls again but Janasia and Roxanne used their spears to drive it back against the wall. "What the hell are your, and what the f**k do you want from us!?" Hannah shouted. The monster then caught the girls by surprise when it used it's elongated arms to grab Hannah. It lifted her up by the throat and shrieked into her face. Hannah wanted to stab it using her blade but she had dropped it when she was grabbed, it moved so fast no one knew it had even happened until it already had Hannah. Clover grabbed Hannah's Blade and ran to the monster. She stabbed the arm that was holding Hannah and severed it in the process. Hannah fell to the floor and grabbed at her burning neck, she felt blood running down to her shoulders where the monster dug it's nails into her skin. Clover rushed to her side with the blade in hand ready to defend themselves from it's attack. The monster tried to attack again but Janasia and Roxanne stabbed the monster, pinning it to the wall. Clover used the opportunity to run up to the monster and s***h it's other arm off. Hannah could feel herself losing consciousness as she laid on the ground. She was fighting her exhausted body to stay awake so that she could help her friends. Hannah could do nothing but watch as she saw Janasia drive her spear repeatedly through the monster along with clover using the blade. Roxanne kept her spear pierced through the monster's chest to keep it in place as the monster screamed and fought to get out. Hannah glanced down at the monster's severed arms that lay on the ground next to her start to slowly wither away as she lost consciousness.

Hours later Hannah woke up in a hospital bed. She tried to sit up but was greeted with a splitting headache. She looked around and saw her dad at the door, talking to a nurse and some police officers. She then saw her friends sitting in chairs nest to them. She called to her dad who turned around and looked at her relieved. He rushed over to her side as the police officer and nurse left the room. " My poor girl, first the bear attack and now a school intruder. You've gone through so much in just a few hours." Her dad told her teary eyed. " What are you taking about, there wasn't an intruder. They didn't tell you about the monster?" Hannah asked confused. Her dad looked at her with a sad expression. " They said that the stress might cause you to suffer from hallucinations, I'm sorry baby. I should've never let you go

to school after what happened at the house." "It's not your fault, nob of this is your fault. No one knew any of this was gonna happen."Hannah said trying to calm down her father. She felt bad about making her father worry so she decided to drop it for now. She spent a few more hours talking to her dad and friends before it was time for them to leave.
