Jeremy alighted from the car, he sauntered towards the uncompleted building and entered through the pithead. When he got inside the uncompleted building, he could see Adriel, who was veiled and tied to a chair. Jeremy walked to Adriel, he unveiled him and loosed him from the chair. Jeremy brought out his g*n as a means of protection as he dragged Adriel out of the building. “Let me be!” Adriel screamed all along. “It’s time to keep quiet and enter the car, or I do what you don’t like,” Jeremy said when they got to where the car was parked. Jeremy opened the door to the back seat and pushed Adriel inside the car. Logan, who was sitting at the back, knocked Adriel’s head and said, “Keep quiet, pothead!” Jeremy sat beside Dickson at the front and Dickson started the car. The car gently disappeared into the thin air. It was a breezy morning and it appeared as if the rain would fall sometime soon. “Hey…, are we there? We are at Gregory Street already,” Dickson said as he managed to look backwards. “We are almost there; just move a little bit,” Adriel said with a gesture. When the car was almost close to one of the street waste bins, Adriel said with a gesture, “That’s the house.” “Stop the car, Dickson. Logan, we have to remove our masks now,” Charles said. “Why must we do that? What if they discover our identities?” Logan said. “Logan, don’t question me; besides, I have my reasons,” Charles said. “I am sorry, boss,” Logan said. “We must go into that house in a disguised way; now do what I asked you to do,” Charles said. Logan and Charles removed their masks and Charles said, “I myself and Logan will go into that house; the rest of you shall stay with this criminal.” “Alright, boss,” Dickson and Jeremy said. Charles and Logan alighted from the car and walked towards a building among the great numbers of buildings situated on Gregory Street. Gregory Street was a new street in California. Despite the great mortality in California, she still maintained a partially large population. The streets were becoming condensed, so the government had to form new streets for her citizens. Out of these newly-formed streets, was Gregory Street. The street had good vegetation, streetlights, mighty buildings and there were waste bins towards each doorway. “Hello, who is at home?” Charles said after he had locked the door. “Hold on, someone is coming!” Silas said as he walked towards the doorway. He opened the door and said, “Good morning, gentlemen.” Charles smiled and said, “Good morning, young man.” “I haven’t seen these faces before, or is there a mix-up somewhere?” Silas said. Logan smiled and said, “There is no mix-up; can we come in for a brief introduction?” “Alright, please, come in,” Silas said with a gesture. “Thank you, sir,” Logan and Charles chorused. After Silas was sure that Logan and Charles had entered the house, he closed the door and the threesome sauntered towards the sitting room. “We have enough couches, please, sit down,” Silas said. “Thank you, sir,” Logan and Charles chorused and they sat down. “Without wasting much of your precious time, sir, I am Mr. Aegeus and sitting beside me is Mr. Easton,” Charles said. “Good; I am Mr. Silas and it’s nice meeting you, Mr. Aegeus and Mr. Easton,” Silas said with a smile. “It's nice meeting you too,” Charles and Logan chorused with a smile. “Alright, sir; and what’s the motive for coming down here?” Silas said and gazed at Charles and Logan's faces. “I guess this is the house of one Mrs. Adalyn?” Charles said. “Adalyn? Yeah!” Silas said. “Actually, we had a business deal with Adalyn some months ago,” Charles said and smiled. “A business deal? Adalyn is my wife and she is a full-time housewife; so what sort of business deal did you have with her?” Silas said with curiosity. “Is she a divorcee? She was with one Mr. Louise when we had the business deal and now, she's here,” Charles said. “Are you here to intrude on her privacy?” Silas said sternly. “Intrude, you say? Well, it hasn’t gotten to that. Could you please give us a cupful of water?” Charles said. “Oh, I am sorry; I should have done that before now. But there is a power outage, so, no chilled water,” Silas said, and gazed at Logan and Charles. “No problem, sir; any water would be appreciated. Besides, it’s cold out there,” Charles said. “Alright…, a jiffy,” Silas said. He stood up from his couch and sauntered towards the refrigerator, he took out two mugs and a bottle. Inside the bottle was warm water. He poured a little water into the mugs and returned the bottle to the refrigerator. He sauntered in the direction of Charles and Logan, clutching the mugs. “Thank you, Mr. Silas,” Logan and Charles chorused as they collected the mugs from Silas. Silas walked back to his seat and sat down. Charles took two sips of the warm water and said, “Back to discussion! Are you a husband to Ayla?” “Sure! Actually, she was widowed,” Silas said. “Widowed?” Charles and Logan screamed innocently. “Yes, she lost her ex-husband to the cold hand of death before I married her,” Silas said. “That’s pathetic!” Charles and Logan said.
