Ethan was a g********l reader and hated being disturbed when reading. The small Ethan was so engrossed in reading. Often, he pronounced the new words aloud. After about ten minutes of reading, he heard someone's voice behind the door. “Hello! Who is at home?” Emilia said. “Hold on! I am coming,” Ethan said. Ethan placed the novel on the couch, he adjusted his trousers, wore his slippers and walked in the direction of the door. “Good morning,” Emilia said. “Good morning; how may I help you?” Ethan said. “Actually, I am looking for Liam,” Ethan said with a smile. “Oh! Liam? I am sorry, he has gone out,” Ethan lied. “Did you just say Liam went out?” Emilia said. Ethan kept mute for about 10 seconds, looking at Emelia from head to toe. “What does this beautiful girl have in common with Liam? That crazy Liam doesn't deserve this kind of a girl,” all these thoughts ran through Ethan’s mind. “Juvenile, I am talking to you; are you alright?” Emilia said. “Sorry…, I said Liam was not around,” Ethan said. “But I told Liam that I would visit him today,” Emilia muttered. “Maybe you should come back in the evening,” Ethan said. “Evening? No, I can’t. Can I at least come in and rest before going back home?” Emilia said grimly. “Sure! Please, come in,” Ethan said. “Thank you,” Emilia said. Emilia walked into the sitting room and sat down. Ethan, on the other hand, continued reading his novel; he was so engrossed in the readings that he didn’t know when Liam walked into the sitting room. Emilia was gazing at the wall clock when Liam dragged his body sleepily to the sitting room. “Liam!!!” Emilia said. Liam looked at Emilia and Ethan simultaneously and finally focused on Ethan. Ethan noticed this, he took his novel, hissed and walked out of the sitting room. Emilia walked to Liam. “Liam, but the juvenile told me you are away; I am confused,” Emilia said innocently. “Emilia, no worries; I understand what is going on,” Liam said. “Do you want to tell me anything?” Emilia said. “No; please, let’s sit down,” Liam said. The duo walked to a couch and sat down. Liam continued in his thoughts. “What have I done wrong to Ethan? He might be up to something,” all these thoughts ran through Liam’s mind. “Liam, how are you?” Emilia said. Liam was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn’t hear Emilia talk. Emilia hit his left hand. “Are you okay?” Emilia said. “Sorry..., I am good. I just woke up not quite long ago,” Liam said. “Alright. Who is that youngster?” Emilia said. “His name is Ethan; he is Davies’ male cousin. You haven’t seen him before?” Liam said. “No, I haven’t; I only know sister Sadie,” Emilia said. “Alright; Ethan is like a brother to me,” Liam said. “Where is sister Sadie?” Emilia said. “I haven’t seen her today?” Liam said. “And Davies?” Emilia said. “Davies is still asleep,” Liam said. “Really?! He must be addicted to sleeping,” Emilia said. “No, he isn’t; today is a Saturday, you know,” Liam said. “Oh! Send my regards to him when he wakes up,” Emilia said. “Alright. How are mum and dad?” Liam said. “They are both fine; the disciplinarians allowed me to visit you after intensive pleading,” Emilia said. “You don’t mean it. Well, as their only child and daughter; they don’t want you to be wayward,” Liam said. “Who told you? Are you a psychotherapist?” Emilia said. “Everything is clear here,” Liam said, and the duo laughed. Davies walked into the sitting room after brushing his teeth. He saw Emilia and Liam. “What are you two talking about?” Davies said. “Davies, you are awake; I’ve asked of you,” Emilia said with a smile. “Oh; I couldn’t but sleep very well. How are you?” Davies said and sat down. “I am fine, and you?” Emilia said. “I am also fine,” Davies said. “Hi, pal,” Liam said. “I am good. How was your night?” Davies said. “It was fine,” Liam said. “Have you seen mum and dad?” Davies said. “No, I haven’t seen any,” Liam said. “Where could they be?” Davies said. “Nobody can fathom it; but they will be back anytime soon,” Liam said. “Have you seen big sis and Ethan?” Davies said. “Ethan is in his room; I haven’t seen big sis,” Liam said. “The house looks void. Where could they be?” Davies said. “I don’t know; you can ask from Ethan?” Liam said. “That aggressive brat? I shan’t,” Davies said, and everyone laughed. The trio continue in their conversation. After about 60 minutes, Emilia told Liam she was going back home. The trio walked out of the sitting room. Amelia walked to the sitting room; she stood for about 15 seconds looking at queen Mackenzie. Queen Mackenzie was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t know when Amelia walked to the sitting room. Amelia walked to Queen Mackenzie and tapped her on the back. “Mackenzie!” Amelia said. Queen Mackenzie raised her head frightfully and discovered she had been unconscious for some minutes. Amelia sat beside queen Mackenzie on the same couch. “Are you thinking again?” Amelia said. “No, mum,” queen Mackenzie said grimly. “That’s a lie; it’s obvious here. When will you stop all this thinking?” Amelia said. “I said I am not thinking, mum,” queen Mackenzie said. Amelia stood up beside queen Mackenzie and tried to go to her room. Queen Mackenzie called her back. “Are you going away, mum?” queen Mackenzie said. Amelia ignored queen Mackenzie and walked to her room angrily. Queen Mackenzie stood up and followed Amelia to her room. “Mum! Open this door!,” queen Mackenzie said. “What do you want? Go back and think,” Amelia said. “Please, open this door!” Queen Mackenzie said. “You better go to your room; I am tired and need to rest,” Amelia said. “That’s not true, mum. Open this door,” queen Mackenzie said. “I said I wanted to take a nap. Go and think; you really need it,” Amelia said angrily. Queen Mackenzie pleaded for Amelia to open the door, but Amelia refused. After knocking and pleading for about a minute, she left for the sitting room and sat down on a couch. “Is Mum angry with me? I should have told her I was thinking,” queen Mackenzie muttered. After sitting for about 10 minutes, she walked in the direction of Amelia’s room; she knocked on the door. “Mum! Are you awake?” Queen Mackenzie said. Amelia heard Queen Amelia’s voice but she ignored her; she quickly lay on the bed and closed her eyes. “Mum, I am sorry. Please, open the door,” queen Mackenzie said with a teary voice. Amelia walked to the door and opened it, she walked back to the bed and lay down. Queen Mackenzie knew her mum was avoiding her, she removed her shoes and lay on the bed. “Will you just let me be?” Amelia said. “I said I am sorry, mum,” queen Mackenzie said. “Please, just go. We will talk in the evening,” Amelia said. “No, mum; let’s talk now,” Mackenzie said. “Since you don’t want me to have some rest, I think I have to leave this room for you,” Amelia said and stood up to leave. Queen Mackenzie quickly held Amelia’s left hand and knelt down. “I am sorry, mum,” queen Mackenzie said with tears on her face. Amelia could not behold her daughter's tears, she used her palms to clean the tears. “It’s okay,” Amelia said. “Have you forgiven me?” Queen Mackenzie said. “You didn’t offend me. I only wanted to teach you some lessons. Please, let’s sit down,” Amelia said. Amelia raised her daughter up and the duo sat on the bed. Queen Mackenzie used her palms to clean her face better. “What were you thinking?” Amelia said. “I was thinking about king Rehoboth,” queen Mackenzie said. “Can you hear yourself? You are thinking about a man that sent you away from your home because of nothing. I am sorry, you are foolhardy,” Amelia said. Queen Mackenzie was mute, she didn’t know what to say. She gazed at Amelia as she talked. “Look at me very well, you need to wise up. You are a woman now and not a child. Do you want me to die of depression?” Amelia said. “I rebuke that; it’s not your portion,” queen Mackenzie said. “Then you have to let me smile again. Remember that you are the apple of my eye,” Amelia said. “I promise never to make you depressed again,” queen Mackenzie. “And remember a promise is a debt,” Amelia said, and the duo laughed. “I don’t want you to think again,” Amelia said. “Alright, mum; I won’t,” queen Mackenzie said. “Tomorrow, I shall visit King Rehoboth,” Amelia said. “Wow!! I can’t wait,” queen Mackenzie said. “Are you satisfied now?” Amelia said. “Yes, mum,” queen Mackenzie said. “You can go to your room now; I want to have a nap,” Amelia said. “Let’s have it together,” queen Mackenzie said euphorically. Amelia and queen Mackenzie retired to bed and soon slept off.
