Aubrey walked towards Liam and Davies’ room. When she was closer to the door, she knocked at the door. “Who is there?” Davies said. “Open this door!” Aubrey said. Davies could recognize Aubrey’s voice, he stood up from the couch and sauntered towards the door. “Welcome, mum!” Davies said as he opened the door. Aubrey ignored Davies and walked into the room. “Welcome, mum,” Liam said.

Liam and Ethan were sitting on the bed. “So, you didn’t know we had arrived?” Aubrey said with a glare.

“We are sorry, mum,” Liam said. “You people want to turn into something else, and I won’t take it lightly with you. Your father needs you in the sitting room,” Aubrey said.

“Aright, mum!” the youngsters chorused and stood up.

“Ethan, I told you to tidy up the clutter. If this isn’t done, you won’t eat anything,” Aubrey said.

“Alright, mum; I will tidy up the clutter,” Ethan said.

Aubrey and the youngsters sauntered out of the room. “Welcome, dad!!” the youngsters said when they reached the sitting room.

“Thank you; how was your day?” Wesley said.

“It was fine, dad,” the youngsters said and sat down on different couches. “Dad, I need to tidy up the clutter,” Ethan said and stood up from the couch. “Alright, son,” Wesley said. “Thank you, dad,” Ethan said and began to tidy up the clutter.

“Dad, how was work today?” Liam said.

“It was fine; take my bag into my room,” Wesley said.

“Alright, dad,” Liam said. He stood up from his seat and walked towards the table. He clutched the bag and sauntered away. Soon, he returned to the sitting room and saw Ethan already sitting beside Davies. He walked towards Wesley and sat down beside him.

“Wait…, I haven’t seen Sadie. Where is she?” Wesley said.

“We haven’t seen her either, but Ethan told us she was in her room,” Davies said.

“Dad, sister Sadie walked in sad; I don’t know what happened to her,” Ethan said.

“Where did she go to?” Wesley said. “Dad, she went for the music contest,” Ethan said.

“Oh, my God, I had forgotten. How about the contest? Go and call Sadie for me,” Wesley said.

“Alright, dad,” Ethan said. He stood up and sauntered away. Soon, Ethan walked into the sitting room in the company of Sadie.

“Welcome, dad!” Sadie said.

“Thank you, Sadie; how are you?” Wesley said.

“I am fine, dad,” Sadie said, and sat beside Liam on the couch.

“You look sad. How was the music contest?” Wesley said and gazed at Sadie's face.

“Well, dad, it was fine,” Sadie said and faced down.

“Sister Sadie, are you sure?” Davies chipped in.

“Sadie had taught herself to lie. Ethan, call your mum for me,” Wesley said.

“Alright, dad,” Ethan said. He stood up from the couch and sauntered towards the kitchen. “Mum, where are you?” Ethan said when he reached the kitchen. He couldn’t see Aubrey, so he left for the dining room.

“Here you are, mum,” Ethan said when he entered the dining room.

“Yes, I am setting the table. What do you want?” Aubrey said and left what she was doing.

“Dad wants to see you,” Ethan said.

“Alright…, tell him to hold on. I will join him in a jiffy,” Aubrey said.

“Alright, mum,” Ethan said and walked away. Aubrey set the table and when she was satisfied with the arrangement, she left the dining room for the sitting room.

“You want to see me?” Aubrey said as she walked into the sitting room.

“Yes, please sit down!” Wesley said.

“Alright,” Aubrey said and sat down.

“What happened to Sadie? Did you chide her?” Wesley said.

“No, I didn’t. Sadie, I thought you promised me to smile,” Aubrey said.

“What is going on here? What happened at the music contest?” Wesley said with curiosity.

“Sadie emerged as the overall best contestant!” Aubrey said with a smile.

“Wow!!” Wesley and the youngsters screamed.

“Then, why is she sad? She should be happy…,” Wesley said.

“All of a sudden, three gunmen entered the hall?” Aubrey said.

“Oh, my God; I hope they didn’t kill anyone?” Wesley said frightfully.

“Yes, they did; they killed a woman,” Aubrey said.

“Oh, my God!!” Wesley and the youngsters screamed.

“They also collected Sadie and two other contestants' jackpots. Sadie’s jackpot was 6, 000 USD,” Aubrey said sadly.

“No!!” Ethan and Liam screamed.

“That’s a devilish act,” Wesley said.

“Yes, it is!” Aubrey said.

“Big sis, we are sorry…,” Davies said.

“Sadie, it’s a sorry from me too. Thank God you were not harmed; so you have to cheer up,” Wesley said.

“Yes, sister Sadie; cheer up!” Liam said.

“Well, I am happy that I was honored by the great crowd,” Sadie said grimly.

“If you are happy, it should show on your face. Now, give daddy a smile,” Wesley said, and gazed at Sadie’s face. Sadie smiled and said, “I love you dad.”

“Dad loves you too…, and for your information, I would be giving you 7, 000 USD,” Wesley said.

“Wow!!” Aubrey and the youngsters screamed.

“Thank you, dad; I love you,” Sadie said and hugged Wesley.

“I love you too.

“It calls for celebration!” Aubrey said.

“Yes, ma!” Liam said.

“The table is set; let’s go and dine in the dining room,” Aubrey said.

“There we go!!” Wesley said. Wesley, Aubrey, Sadie and the youngsters left the sitting room for the dining room.
