He walked to the direction of the door and knocked. “Open this door!” Charles said. “Hold on, uncle,” Margaret said as she could recognize Charles' voice. Margaret walked to the direction of the door and opened the door. She took two steps backwards. “Come back here, Margaret. There are some microwave ovens inside the car boot; go and bring them in one after the other,” Charles said. “Alright, uncle Charles,” Margaret said and walked out of the sitting room. Charles walked to the sitting room and sat down close to Peyton on the same couch. “When will this film end? It is quite long,” Charles said as he gazed at the television screen. “It’s an episodic film, Charles,” Peyton said. “I see,” Charles said. Margaret walked into the sitting room carrying a microwave oven with her hands. “Where should I keep the microwave ovens?” Margaret said. “Take them to the kitchen!” Charles said. “Alright, sir…,” Margaret said and walked away. “Microwave ovens? Where did you get them from?” Peyton said with curiosity. “They are gifts given to us at the seminar in Florida,” Charles said. “Wow! The organizers must be quite magnanimous,” Peyton said. “Yes, you can say that again,” Charles said, and husband and wife gazed at the television screen. Margaret walked out of the kitchen. When she reached the sitting room, she walked towards the direction of the entrance door and exited the sitting room. She walked in with other microwave ovens and carried them to the kitchen. Soon, she walked to the sitting room to join Charles and Peyton. “I have carried all the microwave ovens to the kitchen,” Margaret said as she walked to the sitting room. “So soon? Make sure no one touches the microwave ovens, they belong to me and my guys,” Charles said. “Alright, uncle Charles,” Margaret said, and sat down on the couch. “And where is my boy, Luca?” Charles said. “He is still asleep, I think,” Margaret said. “He takes nap seldom. He is still very sick and looks tired,” Peyton said with a low tune. “Oh, My God! I thought he had been responding to medication?” Charles said. “Yes, but we all know that plasmodium pathogens cannot be easily killed,” Peyton said. “You are right, my doctor, in making,” Charles said, and everyone laughed. “Was that supposed to be sarcasm?” Peyton said and glimpsed at Charles’ face. “No, it isn’t. I need to see Luca now,” Peyton said and stood up. “Yes we have to; wait for me. Margaret, you have to turn off the television now. I have made the bread and peanut butter, you can go to the kitchen to serve yourself afterwards,” Peyton said after standing up from the couch she was sitting on. “Alright, aunt,” Margaret said. She walked in the direction of the television and switched off the television and other electronics. She left the sitting room for the kitchen. When Charles and Peyton reached the door to Luca's room, Peyton opened the door and the couple entered the room. They walked to the direction of Luca’s bed and sat down on the bed after adjusting the youngster's legs to one side of the bed. “Luca! Luca! Dad is around,” Peyton said after touching Luca's neck as if she was a medical practitioner who diagnoses diseases. “Luca, dad is around!” Charles said. Luca could hear his parents' voices. He stretched his hands out of the blanket and opened his eyes. “Welcome, dad,” Luca said. “Thanks, son. I guess your sickness is linked with the fact that you missed me. Now, I am back home; you need to be the strong man you used to be,” Charles said. “Alright, dad; but my body parts are aching me. I feel tired,” Luca said. “Mum has gotten you drugs and you should be responding to medication by now,” Charles said. “I don’t know what is going on, dad. I am perplexed,” Luca said. “Everything will be fine,” Charles said. “Luca, you need to eat now, so that you can gather enough strength to conquer the disease. Shall we go to the dining room?” Peyton said with gestures. “I am not hungry, mum,” Luca said. “I don’t want to hear that again. You've not eaten since morning and you are telling me you are not famished. C'mon, get out of bed,” Peyton said. “You should at least obey your mum,” Charles said. “Alright, dad,” Luca said and glimpsed at Charles’ face. “I made your favorite bread and peanut butter. So, shall we go to the kitchen now?” Peyton said. “Alright, mum,” Luca said. Charles and Peyton stood up from bed. Peyton assisted Luca to stand up from the bed. The trio walked out of Luca's room as Peyton’s hand was around Luca's shoulders. Doctor Naomi walked to the direction of Mason’s ward, she opened the door unannounced and walked into the ward. As she entered the ward, Evelyn and Mrs. Anthony gazed at her. “Good evening, everyone!” doctor Naomi said and stood beside Mason’s bed. “Good evening, doctor!” Evelyn and Mrs. Anthony said. “How are you doing today?” doctor Naomi said with a smile. “We are fine, doctor,” Evelyn said. “Mason, how are you?” doctor Naomi said as she touched Mason’s left hand. “I am fine, doctor; and you?” Mason said. “I am fine too. I can see you are strong now; I think I can discharge you now,” doctor Naomi said. “Yes, doctor; I am strong. Thank you for the care,” Mason said brightly. He stood up, sat down on the bed and rested his back on the wall. “Thank you, doctor Naomi,” Evelyn and Mrs. Anthony said. “Welcome, Mason! I was told Evelyn had balanced the bills. You can go home now,” doctor Naomi said. “Alright, doctor. Evelyn and Mrs. Anthony, thank you for all you do,” Mason said. “It's nothing, sir,” Mrs. Anthony said with a smile. “Excuse me!” doctor Naomi said and walked out of the ward. “Mason, shall we go home now?” Evelyn said as she gazed at Mason’s face. “Sure!” Mason said.
