When she got to the door, she opened the door and entered the room. She could see Luca sleeping on the bed; the youngster spread his legs and occupied the whole space of the bed meant for a maximum of three people. Peyton gazed at Luca for about 12 minutes and walked in the direction of the standing fan. She reduced the speed of the fan, used a blanket to cover Luca's body and moved out of the room. She walked to the sitting room and sat down. After sitting for about 3 minutes, she got bored. “Margaret! Margaret!” Peyton said. “Yes, aunt! I am coming!” Margaret said from the kitchen. With no hesitation, Margaret placed the knife she was using to cut okras on the table and walked to the sitting room. “I am here, aunt,” Margaret said as she walked in the direction of Peyton’s couch. “What are you doing?” Peyton said, and gazed at Margaret, who was standing some distance away from where she was sitting. “I am cutting the okra in the kitchen. You asked me to do that when I fetched water into the containers,” Margaret said. “I forgot. I am very tired and can’t do any cooking. Will you help with the cooking?” Margaret said. “Yes, aunt; I will definitely do that,” Margaret said. “And please, make sure you make the cooking very snappy. My husband called me via the phone not quite long after they were on their way home. He is in the company of his friends, so you have to cook a lot of food,” Peyton said. “Okay, aunt; what shall I cook? Margaret said with curiosity. “Do we still have yam flour?” Peyton said. “I don’t know, aunt,” Margaret said. “Go and check the yam flour sack in the kitchen,” Peyton said. “Alright, aunt,” Margaret said. Margaret left the sitting room for the kitchen. When she got to the kitchen, she walked towards the direction of the cupboard and could see a sack beside it. She opened the sack and saw a little yam flour inside it. She closed the sack and walked back to the sitting room. “We have a little yam flour left in the sack,” Margaret said. “Really? When last did we eat yam flour paste?” Peyton said. “If I am not making mistakes, aunt, it’s up to a week now,” Margaret said. “It’s okay. I guess you can prepare a four-man-paste from the little yam flour remaining?” Peyton said. “Yes, aunt,” Margaret said. “Good. You will go to the kitchen now and start the cooking. You, Luca and I myself will resolve to another food,” Peyton said. “Alright, aunt. We have enough raw rice available in the sack,” Margaret said. “We eat rice too often; why don’t we munch bread and peanut butter instead?” Peyton said. “Alright, aunt; we will go for that. Can I go and cut my veggies now, so that I can make the cooking snappy?” Margaret said. “Before you go, turn on the television for me,” Peyton said. “Alright, aunt,” Margaret said. Margaret walked in the direction of the television, she switched on the television and other electronics. She took the remote and walked in Peyton's direction. She gave the remote to Peyton. “Can I go now?” Margaret said. “Sure!” Peyton said. “Thank you, aunt,” Margaret said. Peyton used the remote to increase the volume of the television. She searched the channels and finally subscribed to a channel. She dropped the remote on the table and rested her back on the couch. Margaret walked to the kitchen, she continued cutting the veggies and started the cooking afterwards. At exactly 5:03 pm, Dickson parked the car in front of Charles' house. The gangsters hid their guns and alighted from the car. “I guess my husband and his friends are around…” Peyton muttered with a sigh and used one of her eyes to glimpse at the entrance door. Peyton stood up from the couch she was sitting on and walked in the direction of the entrance door. She opened the door and saw the gangsters standing in front of her. “Welcome, Charles!” Peyton said as she hugged Charles. “I have missed you so much,” Charles said with a smile. “I have missed you too. Welcome Dickson and co,” Peyton said. “We thought you wouldn’t see us because you had seen your lover boy,” Dickson said, and everyone laughed. “I give you kudos for that, Dickson,” Jeremy said. “Stop the gest. How can I shun the three of you? Don’t you know you are my husband's vices,” Peyton said. “Husband’s vices indeed! Peyton, was that supposed to be sarcasm? I can’t share you with any other person,” Charles said. “C’mon, stop the jealousy, boss,” Logan said. “It’s time to rest. Please, come in,” Peyton said with gestures. “There we go!” Logan and Jeremy said. Peyton and the gangsters walked to the sitting room and sat down in twos on the couches. Dickson and Liam gazed at the television screen. “What kind of film is this?” Dickson said. “It’s an Indian fantasy film I guess,” Liam said. “Yes, it is,” Peyton said. “Guys, it’s as if you are not tired; I am off to the bathroom,” Charles said and stood up. “We shall do the same after you are done,” Jeremy said. Charles walked to his room, he removed his clothes and tied a towel round his waist that exposed the shape of his butt. He wore a pair of slippers and walked in the direction of the door. He exited the room and walked to the bathroom. When he reached the bathroom, he removed the towel tied to his waist and took his bath. “I guess you are all famished by now?” Peyton said. “No, we are not. We stopped at the cafeterias to buy food before we arrived here,” Dickson said. “Yes, we did,” Logan and Jeremy said. “I doubt it. We have prepared something for you all to eat; would you mind taking something now?” Peyton said and gazed at the gangsters' faces. “Thank you very much. We need to take our baths first; after that, we will eat the food,” Dickson said as everyone's mouthpiece. “It's alright. There is enough water in the bathroom,” Peyton said. Charles walked to his room with a towel around his waist. When he entered his room, he cleaned his body and applied lotion to his skin. He wore a night coat and walked out of the room. “Charles is here,” Peyton said as soon as she saw Charles. Charles walked to a couch and sat down beside Peyton. He gazed at the television screen. “Let me go and have my bath too,” Jeremy said and stood up. “I suggest you all go at once because your food is getting cold,” Peyton said. “Shall we?” Jeremy said. “Yes!” Logan and Dickson said and stood up from their couches. The gangsters left the sitting room for the bathroom. Margaret stood up from her bed, she wore slippers and walked in the direction of the door. She opened the door and exited the room. She walked to the sitting room and could see Charles and Peyton gazing at the television. “Uncle Charles, you are back! Margaret said as she walked to the sitting room. “Yes, I am back. I almost forgot that you are still here with us. How are you?” Charles said. “I am fine, sir; and how was the journey?” Margaret said, and sat down on a couch. “It was hitch-free,” Charles said. “That’s good, sir. Aunt, should I set the table now?” Margaret said. “Of course! Do that now,” Peyton said. “Alright, ma. Uncle Charles, I hope you bought something for me from Florida?” Margaret said and glimpsed at Charles' face. “No! I am sorry. The seminar was just too demanding,” Charles said. “There is no problem; thank God you are back home,” Margaret said.
