Aubrey walked in the direction of the television and turned it off alongside other electronics. She walked back to her seat and awaited the youngster. Soon, Davies, Liam, Ethan and Sadie walked to the sitting room and sat down on the couches. “Mum, they are here!” Sadie said and glimpsed at Aubrey’s face. “How are you all?” Aubrey said. “We are fine, mum,” Davies and Liam said. “Good. I am sorry to have interrupted your nap,” Aubrey said. “It’s nothing, mum. Besides, we slept for hours before big sis woke us up,” Davies said. “Alright. Ethan, you are not talking; what’s wrong with you? Do you have mouth sores?” Aubrey said. “No, mum. I am fine too,” Ethan said. “You better be. I heard something about you guys and I want you to tell me nothing but the truth,” Aubrey said. “What's that, Mum? You can confide in us,” Davies said. “It’s okay. What happened to the rapport between you guys?” Aubrey said curiously and gazed at the youngsters' faces. “Rapport?” Davies and Liam said. “What do you mean by rapport, mum?” Ethan said. “I mean what happened to the relationship between the three of you?” Aubrey said. “Nothing, Mum! We are fine. Liam, aren’t we?” Davies said. “Yes, we,” Liam said and smiled. “I know you are fine. Sadie told me that Ethan is against the two of you?” Aubrey said. “Against us?” Davies and Liam said. “Yes, he has refused to relate with you two,” Aubrey said and gazed at Ethan’s face. “Mum, you are right. Ethan has refused to relate with me and Liam and I don’t know the reasons behind it,” Davies said. “Ethan, is that true? You have refused to relate with your cousin and his friend,” Aubrey said. “Mum, they started it because they are pompous,” Ethan said and grimaced. “Pompous? Do you actually know the meaning of pompous?” Aubrey said. “Yes, mum. Liam and Davies have refused to relate with me, they have made this house boring for me. I only brighten up when sister Sadie is around,” Ethan said, and gazed at Davies and Liam's faces. “Davies and Liam, do you have anything to say?” Aubrey said. “Yes, mum; we definitely have something to say. Ethan is the one that is pompous. He is also rude and uncultured. I have complained to Davies severally. There was a day Emilia visited me in this house; do you believe Ethan told her that I wasn’t around? This was a lie. Ethan had also done many other uninviting actions,” Liam said. “Yes, mum; Liam is right!” Davies said. “Alright. Ethan, do you want to vindicate yourself?” Aubrey said. “Mum, I don’t think there is need for vindication again; but I want you to know that you have heard a c**k and bull story,” Ethan said. “You must be kidding us, Ethan. You are too young to be loose-mouthed,” Liam said. “It’s okay, Liam. I want to restore the rapport between the three of you; would you mind me doing that?” Aubrey said and gazed at the youngsters. Davies and Liam gazed at each other while Ethan gazed at the door, but they refused to talk. “Are you mad? Mum is talking to you and you are silent,” Sadie said angrily. “It’s okay, Sadie; don’t complicate the issue. These youngsters will definitely come around,” Aubrey said. “They had better do it,” Sadie said. “Since you guys don’t want to listen to me, I think I have to disclose all this to your dad when he comes back,” Aubrey said and stood up. “Don’t do that, Mum. Dad will not take it lightly with us,” Ethan said. “Then let’s settle everything amicably before he comes back. Are you willing to let the grudges go?” Aubrey said. “Yes, we are. Besides, I am not keeping grudges against Davies and Liam. Davies is my male cousin for crying out loud,” Ethan said and glimpsed at Davies and Liam's faces. “Davies and Liam, I need your responses too; are you willing to let the grudges go?” Aubrey said curiously. “Yes, mum,” Davies and Liam said. “Good! I love your new resolutions. Now, the three of you will stand up and hug one another,” Aubrey said. The youngsters stood up from their couches and hugged one another. Sadie and Aubrey couldn’t hold their joys. They clapped as the youngsters hugged one another. “I am the happiest mum today!” Aubrey said. “I am euphoric too. I don’t want you to keep grudges against one another again,” Sadie said. “Alright, sister Sadie,” Liam and Ethan said with their hands around each other’s shoulders. “Alright, big sis. You've been the best sister ever,” Davies said. “You should be thankful to Mum and not mortal me,” Sadie said amid smiles. “Well, let’s ascribe glory to God instead. You can all go to your rooms while I watch the television,” Aubrey said. “Let’s keep you company, mum!” Ethan said. “Ethan, do you know your words are older than you?” Liam said, and everyone laughed. “You are not serious, brother,” Ethan said. Aubrey walked in the direction of the television, she turned on the television alongside other electronics. She took the remote and sat beside Sadie. She used the remote to increase the volume of the television. “Mum, let’s start the film from the beginning,” Davies said. “Alright,” Aubrey said. Aubrey started the film again and dropped the remote on the table. Aubrey and the juveniles were so engrossed in the horror film they were watching as if they would be given jackpots for doing so.
