I woke up and sat up quickly.
"Wooo there, cowboy, you're gonna make yourself have vertigo. Slowly sit up and take your time. You dont need to wake up, Scarlett." Chase said to me
I laid my head back on the pillow and looked over at my mate. She was sleeping and looked peaceful. She must have been in a lot of pain, and I didn't make it any better.
"Chase, I'm sorry I lost control. Did i hurt anyone?"
"No, but it did take a pretty strong sedative to put you out Silget is one strong son of a bitch." Chase said to me
"Well he is an alpha wolf." I said back rubbing my head
"Oh good your awake." Riley said walking in with 4 bottles of water
"Mind telling me what the fuc*k is going on?" she said handing everyone a bottle of water. I sighed and told her that as much as I could some, I didn't quite understand because quite frankly, I didn't understand it either.
"OK, so let me get this straight. Your mate is an ancient wolf with powers, and there is a prophecy that surrounds you two about a war and the moon goddess." Riley said to me.
"Yep, pretty much." I said, nodding back, to her.
"Well, right now, she is in a coma. The doctor said she would be like that for a week or so. She had to have some of my blood. She lost a lot of blood, and before you ask no you were not a match. They are running her blood to see who her parents are and where she comes from. Alpha, I realize you aren't back to normal either, so i have taken over for the time being at least until you and the Luna are healthy and ready o run this pack." Riley said to me and took a drink of her water after she was done.
"I will still act as your right-hand man, seeing as Riley has your mom and dad. Anything you guys need, I'm right here if you need me." Chase said to me.
"Oh and D, please, for the love of goddess, dont ever make us sedate you again." Riley said with a smirk and walked out of the room.
I sat up slowly and looked at Chase.
"Was I really that bad?" I asked him.
"D, I'm not gonna sugar coat it. You scarred the whole pack. We thought you were dying. That's why I came running, and then I saw you half transformed into Silget, and it scarred me. Ry had to scream at me to sedate you." He said to me.
"How long have I been out?" I asked, not wanting to know how much trouble me and Silget have caused.
"Well, do you want me to sugar coat it or tell you the truth?"
"Just give it to me straight." I said to him, slightly annoyed.
"Well, about three days and only two nights. Like I said, we had to sedate you, hevily. Silget is a strong son of a bitc*h and wolfsbane didn't keep him down for long. So once we had you out, we had to keep an iv drip on you for a few hours to keep im asleep he might still be a little groggy, though."
"Fuc*k, I'm so stupid Scar needed me, and I was an i***t and let my anger get the best of me."
"Well, to be honest with you, D, if I saw my mate in that state, I wouldn't be able to hold Adrian back either, so i don't blame you at all." He said to me honestly.
"Chase, you are my best friend, and my beta. When I tell you I was terrified to lose her, I thought....." I trailed off as tears sprang to my eyes, just the thought of losing her was enough to scare me to tears. I couldn't even look at her now because I was afraid she may disappear on me. That this was all a dream and reality was that she had died.
"Chase, please tell me this isn't a dream."
"It's not a dream, man. I promise just, look at her." He said to me.
I did, and my breath caught in my chest, and I started to cry all over again. Her auburn hair was fanned around her face, and she was taking steady deep breaths. Her eyes were closed, which hurt the most. All i wanted was for her to look at me with those beautiful sunset golden brown eyes. I looked down at her and saw the IV drip in her arm. I knew it was keeping her hydraited and healthy, but all I wanted to do was hold her in my arms and make sure she didn't disappear on me.
"When will she wake up?" I asked Chase.
"In about a week or so is what the doc said. So take away about three days so about five more days." Chase said, counting on his fingers.
"Ok well were in for a long five days." I said, feeling silget start to wake up.
