Day 4 of 30 “Adya, meeting,” Vansh said as he sneaked his face into Adya’s cabin. Startled Adya looked at him as she kept her hand on her chest, she was wearing a peach-colored knee-length dress, and it was simply crafted, enhancing her curves. As if made just for her. As she was not a head manager now, she could wear whatever she liked yet make it seem elegant. She had worn a blazer over it currently it was resting on the back of the chair. The sweetheart neckline gave her shoulders an even more defining look. Haayeee! “So beautiful,” He murmured under his breath as she straightened her back. “Coming sir,” Adya said as she collected the necessary things. Three days had passed since the coffee incident. Adya avoided any close encounters with Vansh. She would send his schedule by email and his coffee and lunch by the canteen’s staff but Laywas a painkiller by the side. She cared. Mainly because there was always someone in his cabin and he was getting hold of the position. She wanted to ask him how his burns were, did they still hurt as much as the first time or less. “I’d like to read your notes later,” Vansh said when she was about to enter the conference room. “Of course, I’ll present the printed copies to you, sir,” Adya said maintaining her professional composure. “Nope,” He said as he looked at the pen in between her fingers. “I need to know if your handwriting is still that bad,” he whispered as her eyes widened. “My handwriting is very clear,” She said defending the indefensible. A chuckle left his lips as he nodded, “Yeah and that’s why I could not reach your number even when you wrote it to me,” the mention of their first date came into his mind and his cheeks turned red for a second. “I—I have… changed,” She uttered after looking for the perfect word that could fit in this situation. Where the hell is everyone? “I don’t think so,” he said holding the door of the conference room for her. Adya entered and turned to look at him leaning against the door. “What?” She turned her graze away, his eyes on her made her feel something, something she just was not ready to feel yet again. “I can’t see it,” He said still observing her facial features. “You must get your eyes checked then,” sassy! “You,” He said kicking his weight off the door and locked it as she gulped. He took threatening steps near her. The height difference between them made her even more nervous. “You look the same, the way your eyes used to roll back when I made you c*m, is the same,” her breath stopped as he came near her. Suddenly her throat felt dry. “These lips still beg me to bite them,” With him saying that she realized how often she was biting them. “You enchant me the same you then had back then,” He said after taking a pause. She was continually trying to divert her attention but the warmth of his body, uff, He did not let her. “You are the same girl I fell in love with,” Her eyes snapped to his when she heard the word ‘love ‘. “Vansh Raghuvanshi does not do love,” She quoted his words from four years back. “You never loved me, we were just friends with benefits” Her eyes bore holes into his. Daring him to deny any of this. “I kept calling it that but—“He took her face in his hands as her breath hitched. “I know I have surrendered my soul to you,” His words made it difficult for her to breathe. “I was scared to admit that you bewitched me, that I felt safe even after handing control of all my life to you,” He confessed but she turned her head away from him. “That I fell in love with you even when I swore I would never ever again,” A shiver went down her spine with the amount of emotions in his words, they seemed sincere but he, himself had broken her heart into pieces. How can I trust you again? “The sad part is, I ruined something so beautiful, so serene, and so pure—“ “You termed it as attraction, All that we had—Attraction,” Anger was laced in her words. “I—I know and I am sorry I did that, I realized all this when I lost you,” The remorse in his voice was evident but he could not change the past now, if—just if he could, he would shoot his past left himself for hurting her, for ruining their relationship. “I lost us,” His eyes gave off his vulnerability. “You did,” She was so close to crying, so close to throwing her arms around him and beating him for what he did and then kissing him till he understood that he was just hers. “Please take me back,” He pleaded as Adya looked away. “Everyone will be here in a few minutes,” Adya stated, putting an end to his perusing talks. This was the time for business not to discuss their past affair. “Take all the time you want,” He said as he walked back to the door to open the lock. “But not more than 3 hours,” He said making her frown at his double standard words. A knock on the door put a stop to their about-to-start-fight as they took their spots starting the meeting with the potential client.
